I don’t get it either! They are bronze Daleks with different weapons. Simple. Why change the colour? Why make it more difficult than it had to be? B&M is the basic line. Less work = cheaper.

Honestly if we’re going to have a bunch of releases of thr Bronze Daleks I’d rather they get funky with the colours. I have 4 regular Bronze Daleks just from the B&M releases so I doubt I’d buy this set if it was just another 2

I’ve always liked the SDCC claw dalek that was a darker Bronze so it’s a welcome variant

What? What? What? What a blue-box-tastic surprise drop at B&M for my Gatwa and Gibson figures! I’ll keep you all updated what I find in the wild!

NO WAY, THIS IS SO COOL!! SPOILER ALERT FOR THIS SET: Included is not only the 14/15th Doctor cardboard insert inside the TARDIS but also an insert for Jodie’s TARDIS console room you can swap it with!! VERY COOL!! I like that they’re making up for the fact that the original didn’t come with one.

I won’t get these unless I can get them in shops. I’m not paying over the odds for scalper prices. No wonder the merchandise is where it’s at – B&M.

There’s a number of scenes particularly in The Power Of The Doctor (even though these are based on Eve) where the Daleks do look like this. I think it’s really just the lighting but you can definitely see where they got this idea from. That being said, I’ve seen videos of the figures and they do look utterly beautiful.

    • Doctor Stu

      August 10th, 2025 - 11:24am

Yeh because of lighting. But when did lighting ever influence what colour they made the figures?

  • Steven Taylor

    August 9th, 2025 - 6:58pm

Not really interested, got the 13th Doctors Tardis and i’m not bothered about bronze Daleks with a different gun, Revenge of the Cyberman is a possibility

It’s weird thing with the B&M sets, they started off as simple releases, then rereleases of rare figures, then new heads but now it seems the excitement has died down

People don’t want to pay scalper prices as they can’t buy them at retail. That’ll kill any demand off eventually.

  • Adric Lives

    August 9th, 2025 - 6:54pm

The Tardis is a good price, especially with it being electronic, and another Dalek set. But I can’t get any excitement about either of these releases. It’s often Tardis and Dalek releases. I’d like a bit more variety. There are plenty of villains (classic and new series) that could be released. Plus many companions. It just all seems a bit predictable now.

Remember these are B&M sets. Repaints and rereleases is what they are for. The new stuff is in the CO online exclusives.

    • Gareth Pugh

      August 10th, 2025 - 8:23am

It’s been said a few times now and I think Al Dewar from CO has mentioned it in various interviews, podcasts etc that the agreed budget with B&M for their sets is very low, such that they can only ever be tweaks, clever repaints to effectively create a ‘new’ variant (like the Five Doctors Pertwee), a different head on an old body to give a new character we haven’t had (the old John Simm suited Master body with a new head gave us Ian Chesterton a while back), and the occasional new part (as in the Gatling-gun arms on these Eve of the Daleks figures). But if – say – you wanted a wholly new figure that required ground-upwards sculpting and steel tooling – like an Adric, or a Nyssa, or Kraal etc – that requires the bigger R&D budget (and eventual pricing) of CO’s online exclusives. There are two more of those to come before Christmas (with a third having just slipped into 2026 now). We don’t know what they are but a black-and-gold suited Ainley Master has been much-rumoured.

      August 10th, 2025 - 10:30am

I must admit it’s the CO exclusives that pique my interest in the 5 inch line now. Occasionally B and M if they repackage something I sold on years ago.
Its the beginning of each year it’s more than likely we can expect a new retooling or a surprise 3 pack as with the silurians and the movellans.

    • The ergon

      August 10th, 2025 - 10:33am

A master/ masters of disguise 3 pack would be great.

    • Jason Z

      August 10th, 2025 - 2:17pm

Is there a reason they’ve not re-released rare villain figures like Omega, Sutekh & Scaroth? I’d love to have those.

    • The ergon

      August 10th, 2025 - 6:39pm

I believe those were CO but just underground toys exclusive sets. They may not have the original moulds for those anymore. Im sure i read they no longer have the original for the rotocast Gellguard.

Hi, The new 15th doctor Tardis, do the Police call Box signs light up?

    • Steve

      August 9th, 2025 - 10:53pm

Sadly they won’t. Only the lamp on top will light up. This 15th Doctor TARDIS is based on the classic TARDIS mould and they don’t have lighting beyond the lamp. Oh for the days of the modern era flight control TARDISes when the signs lit up and the interior too! They were amazing!

Shouldn’t be too long before they hit Yorkshire. Not really bothered about another bulky TARDIS but perfect for collectors of everything from the 5.5 inch range. I’ll be picking up those HOTD daleks sets but they aren’t as essential to me as the Revenge cybermen set.

And it has an insert! I guess it’s (unusually) cheaper than the original release as no new tooling was required this time around. The Dalek set looks really good and totally unexpected too. Character Options have done a good job with this wave, at least from what I can tell.
