i am going on holiday for the first two weeks of august and was hoping to get it there…
i think the face sculpt for the short haired doctor is excellent…
it’s a shame that they are using the long haired version, but I suppose the makers wanted it to fit in with the ’12th doctor regenerated’ figure…
at least they got the hair the right colour this time..

Yesterday I took £8 into hamleys toy store to see if I could get a 3.75 Amy pond figure to complete my collection and when I found one I was so happy until I realised hamleys sell them for £11 that is almost double the price! In the end I could not get one

Is I think the right face sculpt looks slightley more like capaldi but I would prefer the face sculpt to have the same as the regeneration figure so they go together
And with the costumes I think the plain black one looks better as a figure but I think the 12th Dr figure should have red lining

July 29th, 2014 - 1:39amI’m guessing the Capaldi at the top of the page is the final version. It seems to be used on the back of the packaging as well. I’m certainly hoping this is the case as the figure looks boring and inaccurate without the red lining and the unbuttoned coat.

Tens likeness is great. 12 hmm I like his costume but me and my mum think will give him the benefit of the doubt. Man it looks great shame about it not being available thinking of most deffo – getting Amy 0 Ten and the Gen dalke? Hmm. Erm if not the tenth d and Amy. I see a new Tennants spin an fly Tardis up there, Hmm I wonder. A variant? Not a huge collector of these. pick and choose.

Wave 1 – the 11th doctor – Clara – cyberman – dalek – ice warrior. Don’t even ask about the angel – everyone knows why.
wave 2 – only have 11th doctor – hope to buy 12th regenerated – and Zygon Might get the 2 daleks very rare now in my fp. – no Clara = nice variant but meh – limited space. July 28th, 2014 - 10:15pmI have a problem with my 3.75 genesis Dalek where the front wheel is lower than the back two wheel so it gives the dalek a very obvious listing look. Is there a way I can fix this.

A version of Amy that I always wanted to be released in 5″, along with the first figure of the 12th Doctor in his new costume, and both of them look terrible because of their size.
I mean, I understand that the reduction of size was needed for retailers etc. but seriously?
All that character have done is reduced the size to make every long-time 5″ figure collector very disappointed.
Here’s hoping that they will eventually realize their mistake and bring out a 5″ version of them all…

July 28th, 2014 - 9:00pmi think we now need to face that fact that the 5 inch line is all but dead! we have had the war doctor and soon the 11th from TOTD and for me thats fine! i personally don’t collect these new ones for the reasons you have stated, but if they are selling then i say go for it. at the end of the day they will sell to the mass not the very niche collectors market!

If they say its cancelled then just stick to their word. There’s no point restoring hope in people by bringing out extra 5″ figures tbh

July 28th, 2014 - 10:11pmI for really like the 3.5 inch scale and don’t see the need for a the hate around them they are great items I I’m not alone in purchasing wave 1-3 one of the many reasons the 5″ failed is the random charterers they chose ie no wanted laslo uncle or the winder to name a few
People need to stop dismissing these new figures like you could do a better job 3″5 is the standard in general deal with it

July 28th, 2014 - 3:39pmI don’t know if anyone saw the Sunday Times Magazine yesterday, but they had an interview with Capaldi and a photosheet where he changed into the costume, with pictures of him in the shirt, waistcoat and finally the whole outfit. The interview seems to suggest they decided to replace the cardigan with the waistcoat permanently late in filming, and it’s got a red back panel that matches the coat lining. Even when the coat was hanging up unworn it had the “wings” showing the lining at the bottom. So maybe there’s more than one version of it.
