Handbot10
July 27th, 2014 - 10:05amHopefully we will get a two variant pack, one with this costume and costume from robots of Sherwood (red shirt, black coat and waistcoat).

July 27th, 2014 - 7:59amsorry, to sound stupid but why is there two different 12th drs???
Doctorfan
July 27th, 2014 - 8:51amFrom different episodes
Handbot10
July 27th, 2014 - 10:06amOne is the prototype, the other is the actual release.
Nathanwho
July 27th, 2014 - 10:31amthanks!!!
Dalekmus Prime
July 27th, 2014 - 1:33amI just might want everything in this wave…
itdalek
July 27th, 2014 - 1:16amFrom the pics of the classic dalek they do look a lot like the product enterprise 12 inch ones especially the daleks in the evil of the daleks 2 pack
T4RD1S
July 27th, 2014 - 12:53amthe capaldi figure without the red stripe lining thing on the coat (the 1 on the left) looks a bit inaccurate
Handbot10
July 27th, 2014 - 10:07amI think that is the prototype.
T4RD1S
July 27th, 2014 - 12:50am10 and amy look a bit like dapol figures, the 1s at the toy fair were much better and usually the actual item is much better than the toy fair prototypes
GallifreyanKnight
July 27th, 2014 - 12:32amThat 12th Doctor figure on the right looks nothing like Capaldi.
I wish Character Toys would go back to making the 5″ range instead of just having 5″ special releases every now andd then…
doctor who crazy ross
July 26th, 2014 - 11:15pmIs it just me who thinks that the red lining one looks like a 5″ figure…??
Doctor Stu
July 26th, 2014 - 11:59pmYeh but really all of them look like 5″ figures until they’re in your hand and very small
ThePixelatedDalek
July 27th, 2014 - 12:10amMaybe it is a 5″ figure? I hope it is! The detail is far too good for it to be a 3.75″ figure! The one to the right will probably be the 3.75″ one and the one on the left the 5″ one!
Doctor Stu
July 26th, 2014 - 11:10pmMaybe there’s a whole toy story scenario going on and the capaldi figure has moved the jacket itself, been photographed and the retailers just can’t put their fingers on what has happened. It’s the new premise for toy story 4 I’m telling you.

July 26th, 2014 - 10:53pmLinks to that Tardis??
Doctor Stu
July 26th, 2014 - 11:12pmI don’t think it’s an official TARDIS, I think somebody mentioned earlier that it was a different piece of merchandise but was just compatible with the 3.75″ figures
Exterminator
July 26th, 2014 - 11:23pmIt’s the die cast Tardis from scificollector dot co dot uk. They’re still available on the website or from the stamp shop on the Strand in London.

July 26th, 2014 - 10:42pm7.30am went to Argos online – Site still not updated. Shot up the end of town & into Argos at 9.00am – New ‘tiny’ catalogue had NO Doctor Who listed in it at all, apart from a picture of the previous Sonic Wave. Went to their Computer Terminal & checked, only listings available were for TATM Set & new Wave 3A. Went to counter & got TATM Set with 10th, Amy & Genesis Dalek the only stuff they had in stock. Managed to Order the Asylum Dalek from that store & shot to other end of town to pick it up. Today’s mission successfully completed…
CassiusX
July 26th, 2014 - 10:33pmIs it me or does one of the 12th Doctor figures look like Gary Lineker having a downer.
Doctor Stu
July 26th, 2014 - 11:07pmHAH YEH. Needs some sleep to recuperate himself me thinks
CassiusX
July 26th, 2014 - 11:48pmHe just looks so sad. That’s the kind of expression a puppy makes when it’s taken from it’s mother to be raised by a family. For goodness sake, can somebody lighten that face up. Draw a smiley face on it, show it a video of a fat kid falling over. Anything, just as long as it cheers up a bit.
Mrewanwatson
July 26th, 2014 - 10:07pmWhen is this being released?
Mrewanwatson
July 26th, 2014 - 10:08pmOh… is it already released?
Exterminator
July 26th, 2014 - 10:08pmSome of them came out today in Argos stores. Very limited supply though.
booboo
July 26th, 2014 - 10:10pmwonder how many they sold today
booboo
July 26th, 2014 - 10:08pmall out now apart from the 12th Doctor
PheebsegirlFA
July 27th, 2014 - 10:37amApparently by the end of yesterday most Argos’s are out of stock of DW figures luckily most of us got some!
Exterminator
July 26th, 2014 - 10:01pmIs the closed jacket figure Derek Acorah? lol
I much prefer the red lining jacket version.
the astronaut of death
July 26th, 2014 - 9:55pmthe thing is if argos are using the red lining image what other site will use it
booboo
July 26th, 2014 - 9:59pmprobably none apart from forums
Anonymous
July 26th, 2014 - 9:37pmOk thanks but will we ever be able to get a 12th dr with closed jacket?
booboo
July 26th, 2014 - 9:38pmits the closed jacket that’s being released a far as i understand
the astronaut of death
July 26th, 2014 - 9:43pmwell one of these are not official
so why would co send argos images of that when they are not the real thing
booboo
July 26th, 2014 - 9:52pmwell of course if someone wanted to tell us we could correct it here and now and make it clear to the 5000+ visitors to this page since yesterday what’s happening – they choose not to and thats up to them
there is nothing worse than showing pictures of something at retail level that people are never going to be able to buy
the astronaut of death
July 26th, 2014 - 9:55pmand what I don’t get is al on twitter said they were not able to do the red lining when there is an image here right now proofing it
I think they are going to be very unhappy people when they go to get it and compare it to the catologe picture
booboo
July 26th, 2014 - 9:57pmthe problem is these catalogues are put together way in advance infact these figures were have bought today were made all the way back in April
sometimes you have to use promo images that you have and run the risk that things may not work out
alexanderop
July 26th, 2014 - 10:10pmthey tried it out as a prototype just to see what it looked like I think, but didn’t like what they ended up with, because it looked strange in different poses?
I don’t those 12th Doctor figures have any articulation at all, those arm swivels are probably just where the arms were attached.
Anonymous
July 26th, 2014 - 9:34pmWhich 12th dr figure is the final design, or are they both available just different variants?
booboo
July 26th, 2014 - 9:36pmone on the right in the big image apparently
the astronaut of death
July 26th, 2014 - 9:37pmwell first someone on twitter said it was the one on the right
but on the back of the packaging it is an image of the figure with red lining and the head sculpt from the right figure
so it is very confusing
Anonymous
July 26th, 2014 - 9:38pmOk thanks but will we ever be able to get a 12th dr with closed jacket?
alexanderop
July 26th, 2014 - 9:41pmI think the new head sculpt is going to be for all Capaldi figures, well that would be the red lining coat figure and the closed jacket figure. And that the one with his old head sculpt and the red lining is just a mockup?
PheebsegirlFA
July 26th, 2014 - 9:24pmMy pond has a loose arm unfortunately.
booboo
July 26th, 2014 - 9:13pm12th doctor head on the small pic and on the back of the packaging is the same as the one with closed jacket
that’s 3 different images on one final figure
the astronaut of death
July 26th, 2014 - 9:32pmim surprised character have even released prototype images to argos
Trenzalore
July 26th, 2014 - 9:39pmWon’t that get them into trouble if we don’t actually know what we’re getting or they haven’t made it clear?
alexanderop
July 26th, 2014 - 9:44pmwe are getting the non red lining figure then I think that could get someone into trouble, being it’s advertised both on the site AND in the catalog.
booboo
July 26th, 2014 - 9:49pmmany years ago i knew a camera manufacture that had to have 1000.s of cases made at their own cost because the one they supplied with the stock was not the same as the on in the promo images they had sent Argos which ended up in the catalogue
The Twelfth Doctor
July 26th, 2014 - 10:06pm12 is definitely not out until late August, so delete any comments claiming they have it booboo.
booboo
July 26th, 2014 - 10:08pmi always do
alexanderop
July 26th, 2014 - 10:14pmSo, if that is true then the Capaldi figure should come out after DW premieres on the Saturday. Which I suppose is fitting, seeing how that Time Crash set and the Sonic was available straight after Matt Smiths premiere episode on the Monday. What if they decide now to make a Capaldi two pack of the variants? That would be really cool, I would like to get a red lining and closed jacket variant.
Also sorry for all my speculation comments Booboo, I know you must be pretty frustrated at all this.
Rebel Time Lord
July 26th, 2014 - 8:28pmDid anyone get a hold of the 12th doctor by any chance ? 🙂
booboo
July 26th, 2014 - 8:33pmI’m sure we would have heard
The Twelfth Doctor
July 26th, 2014 - 9:06pmSomehow, I doubt it.
Richard Doidge
July 26th, 2014 - 8:26pmOdd that Argos don’t have individual listings for each figure.. So if I managed to reserve one – would it be almost like a blind bag/box as to which one they’ll send down from the warehouse for me?
Wholords2
July 26th, 2014 - 8:53pmyou can see which one it is by doing a customer view
just ask at the till
DalekSec
July 26th, 2014 - 8:55pmhe means online!
Doctor Stu
July 26th, 2014 - 9:48pmOnline you’d just get whatever was available so you’d be ordering a figure from the wave but you wouldn’t know which one it was. If you ordered two figures though I think you would get two different ones but don’t quote me on that
TheWarDoctor
July 26th, 2014 - 8:26pmNeed to ask everyone this. Has anyone had difficulty BUILDING the playsets? Im 15 and i cant build either the dalek or ice warrior set so i threw them away and just kept the figures.
the astronaut of death
July 26th, 2014 - 8:28pmI have had them before and they are very hard
HalfPintOfInnes
July 26th, 2014 - 8:52pmThe new sets are a slot easier to assemble, the popper pegs stay in place and lock this time around, and the pieces aren’t strained so stay together once assembled rather than coming apart when moved.
TheWarDoctor
July 26th, 2014 - 9:03pmI couldnt get the tardis in the actual main card piece was bent on both sets so wouldnt put the tardis in. Clips were bad tbh
100000BC
July 26th, 2014 - 9:39pmI have the Dalek Invasion and Cold War sets, and they are very fiddly! You need four arms to do all four pairs of poppers at once and then leave the set in exactly the same place forever otherwise the poppers pop out. I’ve lost one popper from the Dalek set…
the astronaut of death
July 26th, 2014 - 8:23pmI found the dalek patrol ship a very good toy well worth £20 not only is it a good toy it is also a good collectors piece . I found this figure very simple to put together and the gun a good feature . the dalek figure looks amazing but when I first got this set I was shocked to see how small the dalek was as I have never got a 3.75 figure before the but I did find the packaging a bit hard to get out . the toy it self is rather in accurate into how it actually looks in doctor who but the amazing look of the toy makes up for that. 9/10
Doctor Stu
July 26th, 2014 - 9:56pmI was a bit like that when I brought the ice warrior in the first wave, I was shocked at how small it was but when I got used to the collection and the 3.75 Daleks and realised how useful they were and how much space they allowed I couldn’t imagine how the figures were ever 5″
the astronaut of death
July 26th, 2014 - 8:16pmI find the tenth doctor an amazing figure for the 3.75 inch range it is definitely one of the best human 3,75 figures that have been released I think the face sculpt really captures how the tenth doctor looked in the 50th unlike some past 3.75 figures. not mentioning any names ( 11th doctor 3.75 figure)I also found the clothes very detailed with good detail to cresses and shape the only bad think about this figure is a think the hands are a bit off a difficult sculpt to fit the screwdriver in but over all brilliant figure 9/10
booboo
July 26th, 2014 - 8:18pmto be honest for 3.75″ figures both Amy and the 10th Doctor are very good
the astronaut of death
July 26th, 2014 - 8:24pmI have not got the Amy yet but I am hoping to get it this week it dose look good though 🙂
DalekSec
July 26th, 2014 - 8:54pmI have amy and she is really good! much better likeness then her 5 inch version!!!

the astronaut of death
July 26th, 2014 - 7:15pmif they are using the left one I don’t like the fact that the head sculpt has changed as it dose not go well with the regeneration figure
Doctor Pug
July 26th, 2014 - 10:19pmYou mean the right one? Because the left one has the same sculpt as the regeneration suit figure.
