July 21st, 2014 - 10:41pmDoes anybody know when these will be released in Argos and forbidden planet and bbc shop?
the astronaut of death
July 21st, 2014 - 10:45pmArgos have them now but they will sell them next week when the new catologe comes out
mick
July 22nd, 2014 - 8:23amhow do you know argos already have them?
booboo
July 22nd, 2014 - 8:47amsome one who works for them has taken photos of the stock in the stockroom and shown them on a closed facebook page
Dalek Control
July 22nd, 2014 - 12:13pmSeen the Tenth Doctor and the Asylum Dalek in the store I work at today 🙂
booboo
July 22nd, 2014 - 12:14pmany pictures for us?
what does the 10th look like in hand?
Dalek Control
July 22nd, 2014 - 12:18pmI’ll see what I can do about pictures. Personally I think the 10th Doctor and the Dalek look great in hand. Hopefully more stock will arrive with some of the other figures from the range.
booboo
July 22nd, 2014 - 12:20pmi thought they might
dont take any pics if it might be against company rules mind
Exterminator
July 22nd, 2014 - 12:42pmArgos must have exclusive rights to sell these before anybody else. Even the bbc shop hasn’t put them up for sale yet.
booboo
July 22nd, 2014 - 12:45pmnot that
they usually get stock flown in especially which is much quicker than boat
it can be a condition of sale that stock is available at catalogue launch (even if its only a few figures per branch)
this has happened many times before
TheWarDoctor
July 22nd, 2014 - 12:43pmPlease try get pictures if you can it would be most appreciated.
TheWarDoctor
July 22nd, 2014 - 1:11pmwhat group is this? I really want to see the pictures
the ergon
July 24th, 2014 - 11:20amI,ve a feeling the amy figure might be harder to acquire if argos stock, at first, but generally depending on the store I:e- Argos extra,i,ve been able to buy the lot in one go. They get a few to start with but usually by the time they get the full collection you can usually pick up from any toy stockists.
THE ergon
July 25th, 2014 - 10:33amThe last time i preordered i got my stuff about a week or so after the shops had already had them stocked.I Don,t bother now unless its limited edition.
Steam Wizard
July 25th, 2014 - 11:45pmLEGO does the same thing. It’s out on Amazon or even Ebay, big brand stores, then in a few months it’s on the official store. I think it’s to do with some prices because LEGO usually sells their products for more money than others. I’m not sure about the BBC store mind
rycbar123
July 21st, 2014 - 5:50pmbooboo are you going to do the pictures of the figures we send like wave 1 and wave 2
booboo
July 21st, 2014 - 6:15pmnot sure yet, we are going away i 2 weeks so i wont be able to do a lot until i get back
PheebsegirlFA

PheebsegirlFA
July 22nd, 2014 - 3:40pmThanks I will buy on Saturday but my toys r us in Bradford is still on wave 1 figures I have complained loads there supposed to be up to date it’s a modern toy shop
Babyface
July 21st, 2014 - 1:31pmOk these have grown on me now! Yes there is clearly room for improvement but it’s still doctor who action figures! I’ll get them!
WhereInTimeAndSpace
July 21st, 2014 - 9:39amBBC Shop ?

July 21st, 2014 - 3:41pmThanks Booboo 🙂
WhoFanSteve
July 21st, 2014 - 9:22amSo are Matt and Peter just re-releases? It’s a shame they couldn’t do the 12th Doc in his new gear – I know figures take time to produce, but we saw his outfit ages ago…
booboo
July 21st, 2014 - 9:24amapparently they can’t until the show has aired
The Twelfth Doctor
July 21st, 2014 - 4:19pmSo how were they able to release a blue bow tie 11 two weeks before it was seen on screen?
booboo
July 21st, 2014 - 4:19pmask them that
Doctor Stu
July 21st, 2014 - 6:25pmYeh buts its a blue bow tie it was hardly a major spoiler
The Twelfth Doctor
July 21st, 2014 - 8:00pmWell to be honest Capaldi’s full costume isn’t a spoiler. I mean, when you watch Deep Breath, the costume isn’t exactly going to be a major part of the story.
CG
July 21st, 2014 - 8:20amLove the 10th doctor and asylum dalek. 🙂
tardiskeysince1963
July 21st, 2014 - 7:34amThe likeliness are horrible, not as bad as the packaging though. looks bland and boring. I don’t know why they made this range. Anyone who collects probably didn’t like or in my case even collect the 3.75 inchers. Why don’t they do the clever thing and ditch these cop out 7.99 things and go back to doing 5″. Clearly forbidden planet has the right idea.
Rant over…
booboo
July 21st, 2014 - 7:42amtypical comment from another person who has no idea what they are talking about
DalekSec
July 21st, 2014 - 8:37amI think what you need to remember is these are “CHILDREN” toys not really collectors items and the packaging looks amazing from a child’s point of view and will make them want it even more! now if you don’t want to collect them then don’t but other people don’t think like you do so some love them and some hate them but these are children’s toy really.
anyway there’s still some good ones there like genesis/Asylum Daleks but its up to you.
DalekSec
July 21st, 2014 - 8:38amSorry That Was Me!
DalekSec
July 21st, 2014 - 10:06amthanks booboo!
The Big Friendly Button
July 22nd, 2014 - 12:16amThere are even groups on Facebook dedicated to bringing the old scale back and they do not seem to understand how the industry works. I would love to have the old scale back, but I have learned to accept what we have and move on. But why cant some people.
Mumble5557 Online
July 21st, 2014 - 7:10amActually lookinh forward to picking these up and I don’t get why these are getting hate, they look cool
WhoFanSteve
July 21st, 2014 - 9:24amYeah, I like them as well! Maybe it’s the big kid in us… 😉
The Living Shadow
July 22nd, 2014 - 7:17amMe too!!!
Strax the potato
July 20th, 2014 - 4:05pmI’m not really sure these are worth 7 pounds. .-. They seem to be getting worse, I really thought wave one was brilliant, wave two was okay, but this wave? The Tenth Doctor doesn’t look anything like David and the same goes for Amy Pond. But the Daleks look brilliant!
Doctor Stu
July 20th, 2014 - 5:51pmI think David Tennant looks ok here and in the toys r us 50th set but amy looks like she’s broken her face and the surgery was not a success
RhysCH
July 20th, 2014 - 11:28amMy ideal wave 3 would of been
– Bad Wolf/ The Moment (with The Moment box)
– Amy Pond
– 10th Doctor (With Sonic)
– War Doctor (With Sonic)
– 12th Doctor (With Sonic)
– Rory Williams
Chase Variants:
– Rory in different body warmer/ shirt
– 10th Doctor in glasses
– Bad Wolf/ The Moment with glowing eyes
RhysCH
July 20th, 2014 - 11:32amDoes anyone else think that instead of a re release 11th Doctor, they should of had him in a blue bow tie and shirt?
The Mr Master
July 20th, 2014 - 10:38amSo, these are NOT exclusive to forbidden planet? they will be in other shops ?
booboo
July 20th, 2014 - 10:47amyes most of the usual places
Davide Edinburgh
July 19th, 2014 - 9:41pmDisappointing packaging (articulated action figure? really? – pointless front display stand), no fantasy at all (again Daleks!)… with this random mix of classic – new series – 3.75″ – 5″ I’m lost
Doctor Stu
July 19th, 2014 - 11:13pmI don’t think it’s that random, there’s Amy and asylum dalek from series 7, 10th doctor from 50th and I think the classic Dalek might have been part of the heritage line but they threw it in anyway and there’s just the capaldi and smith rereleases
Anonymous
July 20th, 2014 - 3:38pmi love the packaging
Matthew
July 19th, 2014 - 9:01pmWhen are these actually out then? FPI says 31st August but FP.COM says 15th August?? Which is right?
The Twelfth Doctor
July 19th, 2014 - 9:03pmI’m guessing 15th August but you will be able to get them at Argos in a weeks time.
Destroyer of Worlds
July 19th, 2014 - 5:26pmWave 4 should be:
.Danny Pink
.War Doctor
.Ms Delphox
.Sontaran
.2010 Daleks
.Robot Knights (Robots of Sherwood)
And the exclusives could be:
.Rose Tyler
.Courtney
TheWarDoctor
July 19th, 2014 - 7:18pmWe know what wave 4 is it was announced ages ago. Although now wave 4 is likely to be Wave 3B or 3C
booboo
July 19th, 2014 - 7:20pmits was never announced just proposed to retailers at the toy fair
all sort of things could change since then
The Other
July 19th, 2014 - 7:21pmWho’s Courtney?
The Twelfth Doctor
July 19th, 2014 - 7:50pmApparently she’s Danny’s sister or his one of his class pupils.
I love Karen Gillian
July 19th, 2014 - 8:13pmWhat was wave 4
the astronaut of death
July 19th, 2014 - 8:16pmWave 4 has not been revealed yet
The next set of figures I think is wave 3b
Destroyer of Worlds
July 19th, 2014 - 8:33pmWave 3b is:
12th Doctor official costume
Amy Pond
10th Doctor
Genesis Dalek
Asylum Dalek
New Monster
New Monster
10th Doctor in suit (rare)
booboo
July 19th, 2014 - 8:45pmyou dont know that
Dalekmus Prime
July 21st, 2014 - 7:52pmI definitely agree with you.
Richard
July 19th, 2014 - 1:19pmAlso, does the sonic on the 10th Doctor look as if its been painted upside down? The blue emitter appears to actually be the base of the sonic…epic fail – and this is on the OFFICIAL PROMO IMAGE.
Doctor Stu
July 19th, 2014 - 3:11pmThe sonics quite thick as well but I suppose it’s difficult trying to make something so small
Anonymous
July 19th, 2014 - 12:40pmOh dear
WhereInTimeAndSpace
July 19th, 2014 - 12:18pmCome on bbc shop
booboo
July 19th, 2014 - 12:23pmwont be until monday now if they do it then
we didn’t hear back so they must be on other things
Mrewanwatson
July 19th, 2014 - 11:53amAre those Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi figured the ones in Wave 3a or are they not showing us the actual ones?
booboo
July 19th, 2014 - 12:16pmthey are the actual ones
Destroyer of Worlds
July 19th, 2014 - 8:37pmThey are only in wave 3a because Argos did not sell them.
joe gould
July 19th, 2014 - 11:42amI would get the 10th doctor.
The doctor 1055
July 19th, 2014 - 10:28amWhen are these out
Danny
July 19th, 2014 - 12:02pm15 august
Destroyer of Worlds
July 19th, 2014 - 8:48amThey are probably only doing the Amy because she was in TOTD so that is why they are probably not doing Rory in 3.75 inch.
joe gould
July 19th, 2014 - 11:41amtrue.
Danny
July 19th, 2014 - 12:02pmYes but then they would make her in her TOTD coustome not AOTD
The Other
July 19th, 2014 - 12:50pmHer TOTD costume basically was her AOTD costume
Babyface
July 19th, 2014 - 2:54pmNo it wasn’t! It was an open leather jacket with with a navy blue/ black dress with pineapples on it and slip on buckle shoes. Two completely different outfits. Character made this version because they have no idea what’s what anymore
RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND
July 19th, 2014 - 12:04amamy and the tenth doctor look much better, but i dont know why they have changed the packaging
if i do get any itll just be amy, not sure yet
the astronaut of death
July 18th, 2014 - 9:56pmbooboo do you think tenant did a new figure scan for this 3.75 version
The Twelfth Doctor
July 18th, 2014 - 11:50pmLooks like it.
Anonymous
July 18th, 2014 - 11:51pmthey may have just scanned the previous 5 inch figure
The Twelfth Doctor
July 18th, 2014 - 11:54pmBut this is a new head sculpt, which is quite different to the 5″ figure.
Anonymous
July 19th, 2014 - 1:33amNot realy they obviously will tweak it a bit
The Twelfth Doctor
July 19th, 2014 - 1:34amThese are the finished products.
Anonymous
July 19th, 2014 - 2:23amNo you don’t understand what I said
I meant that they tweak the image they get from the scan not the figures
The Twelfth Doctor
July 19th, 2014 - 9:18amThe only things they will alter are the facial positions, the rest stay the same,
Anonymous
July 19th, 2014 - 9:38amNot always they have to put better detail into it
Cloth creses
The Twelfth Doctor
July 19th, 2014 - 9:57amWhat? They don’t scan the actor wearing the costume. When DT was scanned he will have been wearing a t-shirt and a jumper just like any casual passer-by.
Anonymous
July 19th, 2014 - 10:14amNo what I was saying is they tweak ( add the costum)
But you said they only tweak face and everything else keeps same
But then they add whole different costum and tweak that (creses)
I Froze Gallifrey
July 19th, 2014 - 10:16amWe’re talking about the face scan! You’re talking about a completely different part of the process.
Anonymous
July 19th, 2014 - 10:20amThe 12th doctor why have you changed your name to I froze gallifrey
The Twelfth Doctor
July 19th, 2014 - 10:23amI didn’t. It called me that for no apparent reason.
Anonymous
July 19th, 2014 - 10:23amThe figure
Anonymous
July 19th, 2014 - 10:28amThey might just scan the figure from 2006
Anonymous
July 19th, 2014 - 10:32amAnd then shrink it to 3.75
The Twelfth Doctor
July 19th, 2014 - 10:34amBut the head sculpt is different.
Anonymous
July 19th, 2014 - 10:35amNot much they just widen it out a bit
The Twelfth Doctor
July 19th, 2014 - 10:38amNope, they haven’t. The hair sculpt is completely different and the neck is a lot longer.
the astronaut of death
July 19th, 2014 - 10:40amI can’t see David going in for a new scan
They would have done it some way
The Twelfth Doctor
July 19th, 2014 - 10:41amEither way, it’s definitely a new sculpt.
Anonymous
July 19th, 2014 - 10:43amObviously ,it is’3.75
The Twelfth Doctor
July 19th, 2014 - 10:44amHow obviously? It’s not hard to tone down the size of an action figure.
Anonymous
July 19th, 2014 - 10:47amBut it is still a different sculp it will always be different if they change size
The Twelfth Doctor
July 19th, 2014 - 10:53amNo, it can still be the same sculpt just in a smaller scale.
the astronaut of death
July 19th, 2014 - 11:00amIf you compare this too any previous tenth Dr figures they all have different face sculpts not just in size in shape and detail
Doctor Hugh
July 18th, 2014 - 9:54pmThis packaging looks unbelievely child-friendly
booboo
July 18th, 2014 - 9:55pmits supposed to be
Doctor Hugh
July 18th, 2014 - 9:58pmDo you like this range,booboo?
booboo
July 18th, 2014 - 10:01pmi understand it for what its is because i know the reasons behind it and why it had to happen
but like most collectors i would prefer the 5″ but its not going to happen
i really wish people would realise Character make what retailer will buy not what we all wish for
core buyers only account for a very very small % sales
Danny
July 18th, 2014 - 8:25pmDon’t like the packing or the red bases
the astronaut of death
July 18th, 2014 - 8:27pmMe too
CaptainJimiPie
July 18th, 2014 - 7:11pmI’m guessing the re-release of the Eleventh in tweed and Twelfth regenerated are because they are the best sellers, but that means future waves are always going to be half over taken by re-releases like the sonic screwdriver Waves.
I was in Forbidden Planet today and even they said they have too much over stock of the Tenth and Eleventh screwdrivers from previous Waves, they only order more because people want the latest Wave version, which seems more a packaging thing to me.
Destroyer of Worlds
July 18th, 2014 - 7:08pmDidn’t they say they where not redoing 5 inch figures into 3.75?
booboo
July 18th, 2014 - 7:09pmyes
Radburn
July 18th, 2014 - 8:56pmI love it when they lie…
Wholords2
July 18th, 2014 - 10:39pmThey don’t lie it’s just that plans change
Sam Richard Bentley
July 18th, 2014 - 10:44pmTechnically – and only technically – these versions of Amy and the Doctor were never released as 5″. And I believe they said Daleks would be the exception to that rule.
booboo
July 18th, 2014 - 10:49pmwe should point out Character have never said anything officially
From time to time some of there employees give out information which a lot of the time turns out to be false (but sometimes in a good way)
RhysCH
July 18th, 2014 - 7:08pmI’m going to get Amy, 10, Asylum Dalek x2, Genesis Dalek (maybe 2), but not the re releases!
dra
July 18th, 2014 - 6:03pmi like all these figures but i dont really like the display base i would have preferred a color like bronze or similar to the first to display bases
