they will stand out much better on retail shelves to attract the intended market
the astronaut of death
July 18th, 2014 - 1:05pmI suppose they will attract more
CassiusX
July 18th, 2014 - 9:58amWhy have they re-released the 11th Doctor in his tweed jacket and the regenerated 12th Doctor figure again? Are they taking the 4Kids approach or something?
booboo
July 18th, 2014 - 9:58amyou dont have to buy them
Argos never had them, some USA retailers sold out
supply and demand
CassiusX
July 19th, 2014 - 12:40pmWell I never liked the 3.75 inch figures to begin with, so I will never buy one. But just because I don’t like them, doesn’t mean I don’t know why other people do like them. If you do like them then fine by me. I’m just wondering why have they re-released two figures from the previous wave. All the shops I’ve been to have had dozens of both figures in so it isn’t because of high demand. Would it have made better sense to make different variants of the figures such as the 12th Doctor in his new outfit and the 11th Doctor in his Snowmen outfit?
booboo
July 19th, 2014 - 12:48pmArgos Never had the 12th Doctor
you may be lucky enough to live in town who actually has shops on the hight street who sells them
1000’s upon 1000’s of people dont

The doctor 1055
July 18th, 2014 - 9:43amWhats different between The Eleventh Doctor and The Twelfth Doctor Regenerated from wave 2
booboo
July 18th, 2014 - 9:44amnone
you will notice this is wave 3a so 3b will consist of some ruining changes, probably the 12th in costume at least
The doctor 1055
July 18th, 2014 - 9:46amSo they are re-released
booboo
July 18th, 2014 - 9:47amyes

July 18th, 2014 - 9:35amAny idea on a release date booboo?
booboo

Nathan
July 18th, 2014 - 9:51amThanks booboo 🙂
Doctor 909
July 18th, 2014 - 7:42amI am surprised they did Amy from Asylum, I would have thought it would have been from The Angeks Take Manhattern! But what is wrong with her arms! It looks as if the joints are to big for the socket, maybe when you get her you just need to push them in, hopefully. CO have done this very cleverly when it comes to 10 and 11. I you buy this 10 and the DOTD set, you can display him with out coat and without glasses or with coat and glasses, then you can swap Smith’s head to have tweed and fez and accurate DOTD (with mets up face ) …
Doctor 909
July 18th, 2014 - 7:44amSo people might buy two 10s and 11s and DOTD sets, so they can display them in different ways, very cleaver Co, very cleaver! It seems the figures are getting worst but CO’s intelligence (when it comes down to money) has increased. But I might buy Amy (just so I have a figure of her basically) and that will be it!
Doctor 909
July 18th, 2014 - 7:53amOh and after looking at the figure carefully I have found a few nit picks:
10s pinstripes (on jacket and trousers) haven’t been painted!!!!
Amy is missing her rings!!!
The Gneiss Daleks eye groove is huge!
Oh and that Asylum Dalek , DIDN’T APEAR IN THE EPISODE! All the Asylum Daleks were missing parts and “eggs”!
These aren’t major but are just little things I thought CO would have done!
WhereInTimeAndSpace
July 18th, 2014 - 9:57amOnly if 10s head swaps 😳
Dalek Just
July 18th, 2014 - 7:42amlike the daleks
itdalek
July 18th, 2014 - 8:22amMe too!
The Living Shadow
July 18th, 2014 - 7:10amLots of people say the likeness of Amy and 10 is bad, which I agree, they’re not perfect, however they do look better in hand then they do in promo pics, also I’d say there not very far below (or maybe even equal to 3.75″ Star Wars figures (keep in mind these figure are slightly bigger in scale)!! I’m still very disappointed we’re getting 2 Re-releases in this wave, but we should wait for the uk reveal, before we get upset. Also that asylum Dalek looks fantastic!!
The Living Shadow
July 18th, 2014 - 7:02amYeah, but they’re costing like £30!
The Silent Silent
July 18th, 2014 - 7:00amIs there going to be any Doctor Who Proms on the BBC ??
The Silent Silent
July 18th, 2014 - 7:01amSorry meant to post on Ask a question
Joe Roberts
July 18th, 2014 - 6:59amDon’t just think that they are not doing 5″ anymore. They still do on 5″ classic figures and also some of the characters from the new series would be made as a 5″ action figure special. Have ye of faith!
Jdog
July 18th, 2014 - 3:12amIt’s all going to be fine, they’re just holding things back until their TV debut, like The Twelfth Doctor in costume and two new monsters. Even though a quarter of things seen at Toy Fair don’t get made, the series 3 lineup is pretty much guaranteed. It’s just like how the Ice Warrior was held back in the first series.
Jdog
July 18th, 2014 - 10:37amI stand corrected. It seems like these rereleases are partly so they can be released in new packaging, but since it’s 3A now I suppose new releases can still be brought in just like the original main 5″ line was doing.
booboo
July 18th, 2014 - 10:40amapparently they cant release any figures until the episode has aired which seems odd in the 12th Doctors case as we all know what is costume is its been released officially
ErictheDalek
July 18th, 2014 - 2:22amI will look at these figures in person, before deciding to get them or not. But I must say, the 3.75 figures continue to NOT resemble the actors. David Tennent looks like my fat cousin Lonny in the new scale. What’s the problem with these toy makers? Keep the 5 inch scale, they are the fan favorites. Oh, and let’s get them cranked out on a more regular basis too, please. Chop chop.
Dalek Sec
July 18th, 2014 - 9:33amI hate the 10th doctor figures from CO in general, this will have a bit more articulation than the 5 inch figure, but i don’t think it will really look like tennant in the plastic. Also if Lonny comes onto this site, someone’s going to be a bit offended. lol

July 18th, 2014 - 2:01amThe dalek is in accurate the gun and sucker have been painted gold
The Other
July 18th, 2014 - 11:28amThat’s supposed to be rust I think
The Twelfth Doctor
July 17th, 2014 - 11:49pmHas anyone else noticed that half if these figures were played by Scottish actors/actresses? 😀
The Werewolf
July 18th, 2014 - 12:26amCould be more if there were Scottish Dalek operators too.
whotoys
July 18th, 2014 - 9:31amI am scottish but I kinda speak english
Exterminator
July 17th, 2014 - 11:48pm2 more lovely Daleks for my collection. 🙂
I Froze Gallifrey
July 17th, 2014 - 11:37pmCompletely moved my shelves so that I have enough space for this new wave, even if I’ll only be getting 4 figures (unless th UK wave has a certain new Capaldi and Smith) 😀
booboo
July 17th, 2014 - 11:38pmapparently this is wave 3
The Twelfth Doctor
July 17th, 2014 - 11:41pmOh, that’s a bit disappointing. I wonder what happened to the Capaldi on the back of the packaging. Oh well, at least there is 4 new figures for me to buy 🙂
booboo
July 17th, 2014 - 11:45pmjust an actual picture of him i assume, not a figure
we will have to wait until we see it for ourselves
The Twelfth Doctor
July 17th, 2014 - 11:45pmOkay dokay, thanks booboo 🙂
The Twelfth Doctor
July 17th, 2014 - 11:47pmI’m really looking forward to seeing the new packaging though, I’ve heard it’s going to be completely redone 🙂
UDWF1
July 17th, 2014 - 11:16pmI can’t believe we’re already onto waves that are mostly full of re-releases. Very disappointing.
The Twelfth Doctor
July 17th, 2014 - 11:28pmLet’s just wait for the UK reveal before we start judging.
The Other
July 18th, 2014 - 11:34amWell: 10 and Amy are new, the Genesis Dalek is new and the Asylum Dalek is a new variant; so only 2 actual rereleases out of 6 figures – still dissapointing – but only 33.3% (approx) of the wave is rereleases
booboo
July 18th, 2014 - 11:39amyou have to rememebr this is “back to basics” toys line with only key characters
Argos did not stock the last wave so including the 11th and 12th in this wave would make sense from that point of view
Graham Frank Lawton
July 17th, 2014 - 11:01pmLike the Genesis Dalek
Ian
July 17th, 2014 - 10:52pmTerrible. David Tennant is a skinny guy but here the costume doesn’t seems too big. It wasn’t like that in the series.
Babyface
July 17th, 2014 - 10:02pmWave 2.5 is now wave 3! AHHHHH WHAT IS GOING ON!
CassiusX
July 17th, 2014 - 10:41pmWhy does the David Tennant figure look like it smoked something strong and why does the Amy pond figure resemble Daphne from Scooby Doo if she had too much surgery done to her face. While the classic Dalek is nice, that I’ll admit, I don’t like the idea that the classic Doctor Who figures are going to be shrunken down to the 3.75 inch size. I just hope they bring out more 5 inch figures in the future. The 11th Doctor regeneration set feels like a good sign for me.
Ian
July 17th, 2014 - 10:52pmHe was playing with the Sonic and that’s the result LOL.
Babyface
July 17th, 2014 - 11:27pmTime of the doctor set is all I need!
Cyberleader1010
July 17th, 2014 - 10:02pmJust when you thought the 3.75″ couldn’t get any worse. Look at Amy! She looked so much better at Toy Fair! Really gonna try not to get any of these. Real disappointment. Think I’ll stick with 5″.
Matthew
July 17th, 2014 - 9:46pmThey made Jenna look fat and Karen look stretched… these 3.75 figures are just creepy
The Twelfth Doctor
July 17th, 2014 - 9:38pmI really hope 12 is in his crombie coat. I don’t want a boring re-release! Mind you, if he isn’t, atleast I’ll be getting 10 🙂
The Fez Master
July 17th, 2014 - 8:04pmThey all look good except Amy!
Clayderman
July 17th, 2014 - 7:58pmDisclaimer* – I know these are only pre productions figures, but here’s my opinion:
– Now, to me it looks as if once again, the Toy Fair production is WAYYYYY more accurate, as apposed to these promos, and the end result has always took a turn for the worse. God forbid if these turn out like mushy pieces of plastic, just merely resembling the characters ever so slightly…
