First Look at Figurine Collection Mummy & 7th Doctor
.@Bennough New series figs are both popular and essential but there are a lot of classic ones coming. Roughly 50% from here on.

March 21st, 2015 - 12:01pmOriginal concept for the Cybermen had them as being 10ft tall, but obviously the BBC hasn’t ever cracked finding a 10ft tall actor! So as far as I’m concerned, the Moonbase cyberman is “correct”. Plus it looks amazing! Might have to individually source one of these…

March 20th, 2015 - 8:22pmThere are some corners of the universe that have bread the most terrible things….
The Surgeon
March 21st, 2015 - 9:48am…They must be fought.
MickeySmith07
March 20th, 2015 - 7:28pmIs the Tomb Cybermen supposed to be that tall?
The Werewolf
March 20th, 2015 - 8:09pmIt’s a Moonbase Cyberman actually, and I believe they hired very tall actors to play the Cybermen in both of those stories, so probably yes.
booboo
March 20th, 2015 - 8:14pmyes they did
I believe i read somewhere (and i might be wrong here) that the character one was made out scale as it didn’t look right with the others, either that or it was something to do with the Wheel cybermen not being made
TardisMike
March 21st, 2015 - 8:31amI really love this Moonbase Cyberman!
They’ll do a Wheel of Space Cyberman too?
The Werewolf
March 21st, 2015 - 11:08amBen Robinson and Neil Corey have mentioned that a Wheel in Space Cyberman is likely and that a regular 2006 one is a definite.
Also, it seems that the actual Moonbase Cyberman figurine (issue 53) will be a little smaller than that one.
TardisMike
March 21st, 2015 - 12:01pmThank you, Werewolf 😉
Cpl. Hicks
March 17th, 2015 - 10:14pmWhat’s the next 2 figures…rusty and Cyberman?
The Werewolf
March 17th, 2015 - 10:46pmNo. Next are 42 and 43 – Terileptil Leader and Rusty
The Eleventh Doctor
March 14th, 2015 - 6:27pmThe Deadly Assassin master looks fantastic IMO 🙂
KEVIN BUNKER
March 14th, 2015 - 12:25pmIt amazes me that they can recreate these characters so well, considering the scale…, really like all of the one’s I’ve bought so far & I’m looking forward to getting more too. 🙂
The Werewolf
March 13th, 2015 - 11:47pmI think the wires are far too big, but otherwise, I think it is rather nice figurine. I sort of like the way they have tried to blend the generic black hexagonal base with Cassandra’s base actually, and while it doesn’t work as well as they probably intended, I think it’s the best compromise. It’s also nice to have a figurine of something that my sister has heard of which hasn’t happened for a while.
The Bad Wolf
March 13th, 2015 - 11:25pmCassandra’s actually really good in my opinion may pick that issue up even though I personally only collect the doctors
The Fourth Doctor
March 13th, 2015 - 11:30pmThat was me again
Doctor Stu
March 13th, 2015 - 5:08pmI don’t know how to feel about Cassandra, it looks good but I feel as if the skin could be a little clearer or translucent
Anonymous
March 13th, 2015 - 7:31pmIt’s solid metal. They haven’t really got much choice.
Funko Pop Crazy Ross
March 13th, 2015 - 5:00pmI really like the Cassandra figurine, however I don’t like how they have done the base
VespiformsSting
March 13th, 2015 - 11:20amNot overly concerned because I dont like cassandra and dont collect many of the new series figures now….but I dont like it…some how the delicacy has been lost probably because of the reduction in scale….and was the brain that prominent… I dont think it was…
Funko Pop Crazy Ross
March 13th, 2015 - 4:20pmGlad to see that you like it then.
MickeySmith07
March 13th, 2015 - 10:28amI think it looks really good! Great idea to use the base as her base too. Face looks a bit small though.
Exterminator
March 13th, 2015 - 12:17pmShe does look good, another great figure for this collection.
Doom Dalek
March 4th, 2015 - 5:47pmDo classic Zygon and Ice Warrior as well as the new one, it’s not fir only the Daleks and Cybermen have all their version released
They should release:
Missy from The Magician’s Apprentice/The Witch’s Familiar/Dark Water/Death In Heaven
Whisperman from ‘The Name of the Doctor’
Classic Zygons, Ice Warriors and Autons
Most of the Companions
Mummys from ‘Pyramids of Mars’
Borad from ‘Timelash’
War Machines from ‘The War Machines’
Scaroth from ‘City of Death’
Davros from ‘Genesis of the Daleks’
Yeti from ‘The Web of Fear’
Sleepers from ‘Last Christmas’
Sensorites from ‘The Sensorites’
Smilers from ‘The Beast Below’
Snowmen from ‘The Snowmen’
Axons from ‘The Claws of Axos’
Kyrnoids from ‘The Seeds of Doom’
Tetrap from ‘Time and the Rani’
The Rani from ‘The Mark of the Rani’
Vervoids from ‘Terror of the Berboids’
The Flood from ‘The Waters of Mars’
The Foretold from ‘Mummy on the Orient Express’
The Destroyer from ‘Battlefield’
Voord from ‘The Keys of Marinus’
Sontarans from ‘The Time Warrior’
Gangers from ‘The Rebel Flesh’
and may more….
Anonymous
March 4th, 2015 - 7:00pmGive them time and they will come…
The Werewolf
March 5th, 2015 - 12:08amThere was only one Sontaran in the Time Warrior and his name was Linx. I’d love a figurine of him.
Cpl. Hicks
March 13th, 2015 - 9:11pmGood list, also…
Sharez Jek from Caves of Andr.
VespiformsSting
March 2nd, 2015 - 12:42pmMore Troughton and Hartnell era figures please…for that matter more from Colin’s era too !!! Perhaps bringing forward Colins figure and the rest of the classic Doctors would be a good start…..So far its not a very ’rounded’ celebration of 50 years no matter how good the ‘new series’ figures are….
Anonymous
March 2nd, 2015 - 2:04pmIThey won’t bring forward the Doctors, they are intentionally spaced out to keep certain collectors hanging on for as long as possible (as some will inevitably abandon the collection as soon as they have all the Doctors). Also you need to remember the ratios, a fair, balanced collection would actually at the moment work out pretty neatly at about 20% for each decade (so one in five roughly each). There has to be a large modern representation to match this, just as much as the older stuff but inevitably incredibly recent stuff will be fresher in people’s minds and so more popular, skewing this off balance. At the end of the day the ones wanting older characters are more likely to wait than the kids wanting new stuff, its all about keeping the sales up so they are able to occasionally please.
TheMissingDoctor
March 2nd, 2015 - 11:20amCan not wait for these to come out, even though the Handbot does look great, WHY?!?!, I dont mind it but what about some other monsters for that series such as: The Minotaur, The antibodies, Headless monks (with sword) even Madame Kovarian would be great from the series, even the Whispermen from Series 7 part 2 would be great
VespiformsSting
March 2nd, 2015 - 12:43pmNo no no….stop these lesser new series characters and lets have some main classic aliens for a change…….
TheMissingDoctor
March 2nd, 2015 - 1:48pmI have no problem with the classic series monsters and characters, in fact i love them, but new series characters aren’t that bad but to have new series characters brings in the younger generations interest to the figurines but I do agree VespiformsSting but you’ve got to think of the younger generations.
TheMissingDoctor
March 13th, 2015 - 5:50pmLady Cassandra would be better if it was more transparent than a resin, would of added some depth to the figurine
KORSAIR
March 2nd, 2015 - 9:29amThese are just getting better and better, 3rd Doctor is great.
ahunter8056
March 2nd, 2015 - 12:30amAll of them look brilliant, especially the Third Doctor and Teller. As for the Handbot, yet another figurine that I have no interest in. Ah well, they can’t all be important characters I suppose.
Funko Pop Crazy Ross
March 1st, 2015 - 10:45pmId love to see a special issue of the minotaur from series 6. One of the best episodes in series 6 imo
The Werewolf
March 2nd, 2015 - 12:10amThe God Complex was the only good episode in series 6 and the Minotaur is small enough to be a regular figurine.
KEVIN BUNKER
March 2nd, 2015 - 11:40amI asked about it being made & they said there were no plans to make it but they’ve passed my suggestion on for future possible releases.
Funko Pop Crazy Ross
March 2nd, 2015 - 5:40pmMaybe we should have a figurine of the werewolf just to bring him down to size. I think that would pass as a special issue figurine
Doctor Stu
March 1st, 2015 - 9:29pmI always wanted Handbot as a figure
KEVIN BUNKER
March 1st, 2015 - 9:10pmI’m really impressed with the characters they keep coming up with, it’s great they don’t go the obvious route…, I will have to break my Dalek’s & Cybermen only rule now I think. lol
Funko Pop Crazy Ross
March 1st, 2015 - 8:26pmI always wanted a hand bot in the 5″ figure range, id also like to see an abzorbaloff too. As well as Linx the Sontaran, Clockwork Droid, Krillitane, Haemavore, Sutekh, Sharaz Jek, Sil, Classicc Silurian, Ogron, Paradigm Dalek, Planet Supreme Dalek, Missy, Delgado/Ainley/Simm Masters, Mandrel, Kraal, Menoptera, Zarbi, Vervoid, Quark, Axon and Autons from Terror and Rose.
The Werewolf
March 2nd, 2015 - 12:13amShades and spades, if that still means what i think it does…
Funko Pop Crazy Ross
March 2nd, 2015 - 5:40pm??? Please explain.
time dude
March 1st, 2015 - 7:25pmCools. I thing the 3rd Doctor looks FAB, the handbot is cool too. The teller looks real and the master looks like it could do with a dark skin tone but other than that it look brill 🙂
Dalekparadigm2
March 1st, 2015 - 7:25pmIve got to say thet the figurine collection has been getting better all the time. The Master looks amazing! Such great detail on the cloak and face, its great!
VespiformsSting
March 1st, 2015 - 7:14pmIve never actually seen the handbot…..the story its from is one of the few dr who’s Ive never seen – the synopses of the story sounded so bad… I hate it when Doctor Who becomes ‘boo- who’ .I cant believe they got Imelda Staunton to do a voice…..
TheExtremeBlueTARDIS
March 1st, 2015 - 7:38pmSorry but why judge an episode by its synopsis? I thought Night Terrors would be bad but I think it’s one of the best in series 6 in my opinion…
VespiformsSting
March 1st, 2015 - 7:47pmBecause it was pretty well put about that it was going to be a ‘weepie’ ‘sentimental’ who story…exactly what I thing is the main problem with new who in fact I hate the excess of sentimentaility..and the rest of that season – lets admit it – was pretty dire ..(I’d rate it as one of the worst seasons of Who ever – if not the worst)
VespiformsSting
March 1st, 2015 - 7:53pm..and didnt moffatt himself say if you ‘dont like dr who why watch’…so I took his advice…mainly because at the time I thought ‘fair enough if thats going to be your attitude..’
Anonymous
March 2nd, 2015 - 1:12pmHaha…the phrase “cutting nose off to spite face” springs to my. I thought it was a fantasitc story. The actors really excelled themselves. Great Timey Wimey stuff too.
If you are not going to watch it, then great..but dont decide not to watch and STILL moan (esp when its based on no facts)
TheExtremeBlueTARDIS
March 2nd, 2015 - 7:25pmBut to be pretty fair I don’t think Moffat means skip an episode if you don’t like the show. These days all shows have emotional stuff in it, so it’s never going to return to Classic Who format.
But I do agree about how weak Series 6 was.
VespiformsSting
March 13th, 2015 - 11:47amOi anonymous I was asked for the reason I didnt watch the story ok !! And get a proper nick while youre at it.
Cpl. Hicks
March 1st, 2015 - 6:45pmSome great figures to look forward to…still hoping they don’t do Cassandra
Looking forward to seeing a painted version of the Beast
The Werewolf
March 1st, 2015 - 6:48pmCassandra is issue 46 and is much better than the Handbot.
The Werewolf
March 1st, 2015 - 6:49pmBy which I mean is more deserving of a figure/makes a better figure.
Funko Pop Crazy Ross
March 1st, 2015 - 6:54pmCassandra will be so fragile 😮
The Werewolf
March 2nd, 2015 - 12:11amVery fragile, though the material is pretty sturdy.
Funko Pop Crazy Ross
March 1st, 2015 - 6:43pmAlways wanted a handbot
The Werewolf
March 1st, 2015 - 6:53pmThe Handbot is the least deserving of a spot in my opinion. They were very forgettable ‘monsters’ in a very forgettable story in the most forgettable series of the revival. Still can’t believe this was given the green light. Where is Linx the Sontaran? Clockwork Droid? Krillitane? Haemavore? Sutekh? Sharaz Jek? Sil? Classicc Silurian? Ogron? Paradigm Dalek? Plamet Supreme Dalek? Missy? Delgado/Simm Masters? Mandrel? Kraal? Menoptera? Zarbi? Vervoid? Quark? Axon? Auton?
VespiformsSting
March 1st, 2015 - 6:58pmWooooohooooooo way to go Werewolf well said !!!! 😀
VespiformsSting
March 1st, 2015 - 6:58pmWell about the lack of classic figures at least 😀
Funko Pop Crazy Ross
March 1st, 2015 - 7:02pmNobody wants those figurines these days, we all want figurines like the hand bots. I mean, who doesn’t want to see the candy man? Chloe Webber? the abzorbaloff? the peg dolls? the wooden queen? The Spoon Heads? Eknodines? Bannakaffalatta? The Moxx of Balhoon? The Hoix? The Spider germs?
Okay Ill admit, after typing them out some of them sound cool.
The Werewolf
March 2nd, 2015 - 12:12amThanks vespiform sting
Rufus
March 2nd, 2015 - 7:05amYou could just make a candy man figure out of liquorice sweets, I remember me and my brothers trying to do it when we were kids, and you get to eat it afterwards.
Lifefoot
March 1st, 2015 - 5:55pmThe Master is more reminiscent of the look Geoffrey Beevers sports in the Big Finish audios than Peter Pratt in The Deadly Assassin, but with a darker paint job he’ll be spot on. I’ve always had a soft spot for this incarnation.
daz
March 1st, 2015 - 5:40pmI think all 4 look great. So glad they are making new series ones that were never done in 5 inch character range.
Dom
March 1st, 2015 - 5:40pmWhat number are they in the issues.
The Werewolf
March 1st, 2015 - 6:49pmEmaciated Master is 49. Handbot not known yet, after 50 though.
Warrior Doctor
March 1st, 2015 - 5:04pmDefinitely getting the handbot!!
