August 19th, 2021 - 10:06amJust arrived. Really pleased with the overall finish. The paintwork was pristine and seems more enhanced than the original Issue and they seemed to have used stickers for the windows which i prefer as i saw a lot of bad paintwork around this area when i was thinking of purchasing from EBAY but this put me off buying. The Reissue box isn,t as big as i thought and the figurine was packed between 2 pieces of polystyrene, the way Harrops usually pack theirs. Overall i,m glad i,m glad i bought this later edition as it bodes well for future TARDIS releases. Clara Memorial is the top of my list followed by sylvesters pink TARDIS from Paradise Towers.

August 19th, 2021 - 10:17amyes they seem to have 2 promo images on their website, one old and then the new one, i wondered if it was be stickers, the st johns logo looks more crisp as well
might get one now it certainly open the window for some good opportunities
the ergon
August 19th, 2021 - 11:02amThey are those ‘toughened’ stickers as well booboo. I actually dont mind stickers if they do have problems with paintwork as i dread having to open and being disappointed and having to send the item back. It worked well with the emoji bot figurine so why not with others..

August 19th, 2021 - 11:11ami would prefer stickers, hand painting is hard to get to look good on these windows

April 30th, 2021 - 11:33amThis is a wee bit off topic (still Eaglemoss) but didn’t know where else to ask!
Does anyone know anything about the set of ‘Chibi’ pin badges with Doctors and enemies (such as Third and Azal) that were sent out earlier this year to a few people seemingly in place of other sets? I saw images on the Collection FB page but have heard nothing since.
Were they test sets and might they be released more generally in future? Hope they will be.

April 30th, 2021 - 11:37amI saw those and really dont know what happened, i was expecting them to be up for order by now
Doug Who
April 30th, 2021 - 3:15pmIt was odd wasn’t it? I really hope they are released at some point because they were nice…maybe the best set yet!
If they aren’t, a very lucky few have a very, very rare variant on their hands!

March 28th, 2021 - 12:59pmCan you tell me when this Tardis is coming out to order? I’ve got all of the specials so far including the first one which was a Tardis ? And how many are they doing and when will we see another counsel? I hope they continue with them
booboo
March 28th, 2021 - 1:13pmno news on how many they will do or consoles, my feeling is they will stick to major differences and possible B&M ones so 6-8 possibly

March 24th, 2021 - 11:26amNot really interested in very minor differences in the TARDIS.
If anyone saw my collection I know what they’d say.
(I’d get alot of grief over why have you got 30 of the same TARDIS?)
But would really like major difference ones like the pink Happiness Patrol, a clear one, badwolf, Clara remembrance and Black and White.

March 23rd, 2021 - 12:33pmReally bugs me that they’ve said this TARDIS exterior is from Series 5 to Series 10, when the box changed significantly during Series 7

March 21st, 2021 - 11:54pmMaybe they still have unexpired rights for the pre-existing model, but can’t use the logo on anything newly created/approved? They could even be getting the model out at the last possible moment before they’d have to change that too.

March 16th, 2021 - 10:07pmDon’t like the bbc getting the patent rights to the tardis the rights sould belong to the metropolitan police not the BBC
Anonymous
March 16th, 2021 - 11:17pmThe BBC don’t have the rights to all police boxes, just the specific TARDIS models
Anonymous
March 16th, 2021 - 11:54pmThat happened in 1996, and quite frankly why should the Metropolitan Police have it? They weren’t even the first police force in the UK to use them, never mind the inventors of them.
Crosby
March 17th, 2021 - 6:54amThat’s what I’m on about the TARDIS design
Dalekz
March 17th, 2021 - 1:53pmThe Police box is more Doctor Who to the general public now, a lot of people don’t even remember them as real life things.
If it wasn’t for Doctor Who these would be long forgotten by most people so the BBC owning the patent is entirely justified.
That’s why the decision was made in favour of the BBC in the 1990’s as the Police box no longer exists outside of Doctor Who except for a few random survivors of different designs and most people think of Doctor Who when they see them.
The Met police have even used the Police box in recent years for policing but banking on their Doctor Who related image and nostalgia.
The Loiterer
March 17th, 2021 - 2:44pmThe BBC have a merchandise trademark for the police box in the Who context. They don’t have any patents (which would have expired anyway) and don’t have control over non-Tardis use, like the Hornby Skaledale police box model. It just gives them protection against fake DW merchandise really so it’s not as exciting as certain press made out.
Dalekz
March 17th, 2021 - 8:26pmYes it’s the Trademark not the Patent, mixing those two up there that would be long expired I agree.
JL
March 16th, 2021 - 12:16pmI’ve been wanting this to be a range for a while, very excited!!!
CMS
March 16th, 2021 - 11:30amI hope these are not replacing the TARDIS console range, so far the only modern console made was the twelfth Doctor’s. I would hope at least Nine/Ten’s and Eleven’s would make the cut. Is there any word on what’s happening with that range?
Dalekz
March 16th, 2021 - 1:00amNo St Johns logo is annoying but an easy fix really I’d just scale one and stick it on myself!
Glad it’s gone from the current Tardis I have no idea why they wanted it back anyway.
I didn’t get this the first time so maybe I will have it, I’d be far more interested in a classic Tardis from 5, 6 and 7’s eras but this is a nice start if they are doing more.
We should have got some more consoles though we still need a 8, 13 and maybe a Master’s 80’s version in black.
Alan
March 16th, 2021 - 7:35amThe BBC lost the license to use the logo, this was a few years ago.
Mrs Croot
March 16th, 2021 - 9:40amI’m suprised, seeing they own the police box. The only way for there to be any police box merchandise that isn’t Doctor Who is if it has a police man with it, otherwise the BBC count it as a TARDIS.
booboo
March 16th, 2021 - 10:07amPictures of Tardis have the logo on it but not the box or the mag, just have to wait and see
booboo
March 16th, 2021 - 7:28pmofficial BBC site has the logo so we assume its OK to use then
https://www.doctorwho.tv/news/?article=new-tardis-range-new-figurines-hero-collector-march-2021
Dalekz
March 16th, 2021 - 1:06pmI had no idea they lost the licence, I never liked it’s return anyway so I’m not bothered it’s gone it’s not a big deal. The Tardis I gre up with on TV never had it so it’s always been weird to me anyway.
Stephen
March 15th, 2021 - 11:12pmI’m pleased that people who missed this the first time around will have the chance to get it now. Be prepared for what a heavy block of metallic resin it is!! (If they do as a solid block like they did before). If it is £25 that is quite a steep price, if we are collecting lots of them. And quite bit more than the original price.
I’ve been hoping they would do a 9th/10th Doctors’ TARDIS for a while now, which would use much the same sculpt but have a more weathered paint job. So I hope that will happen soon now.
Andy P
March 15th, 2021 - 9:19pmI think this is a missfire. Will be interesting to see the up take on these. Would have preferred to see more consoles.
Anonymous
March 16th, 2021 - 1:08amWhy would this be an indication that the console range is ending? This is a separate range, and as a fan of the Classic Series police boxes, this news makes me very happy

March 15th, 2021 - 7:30pmWhat is this ?
Doctor Stu
March 15th, 2021 - 5:47pmI’m glad I got the original version I don’t see the point releasing an inaccurate TARDIS. Especially as they’ll now have to release more I’m assuming, 11’s, 12’s, Clara spraypaint, 11’s damaged from angels take Manhattan etc
I wonder why they’re not allowed to use the logo anymore
Coleman
March 15th, 2021 - 5:46pmAh, a De-materialising TARDIS, it looks great in the box.

It’s just abit of fun.

March 15th, 2021 - 5:35pmI have this morning bought a Tardis and 5th Doctor from B & M bargains for £8.00, (reduced from £12.99) so I am alright for Tardises, thanks! Aboutv5 inches high, so OK for the figurine collection. No St John’s sticker though.
the ergon
March 15th, 2021 - 5:48pmAs Booboo says we may get some exclusive TARDIS variations down the line. This is just the first of hopefully many.

March 16th, 2021 - 1:05amAt my last count I have 16 Character Tardises (some custom so each Doctor has one), not counting other random ones in all sizes that are not from character…I think I have a problem.

March 24th, 2021 - 8:49pmYou could be right Dalekz, the Doctor only had one TARDIS.

March 15th, 2021 - 2:59pmProbably a chance for new collectors to get it as the original is out of stock and sells for crazy on ebay…just wish it had the St John’s logo…so technically this is a new design.
Alvin Amey
March 15th, 2021 - 6:09pmIt could just be the magazine and packaging that doesn’t have the St. John’s logo, I can see the model being the same as the pre-released Special #1 Tardis
booboo
March 15th, 2021 - 6:20pmI’m pretty sure now they cant use it any more even if it appeared on screen, perhaps someone in the know can clear this up?

March 15th, 2021 - 7:08pmHi Boo Boo,
Apparently no company can now use the St. John’s Ambulance logo.
Not sure of the exact reasons but possibly because they are a charity so want more control of how its used…
booboo
March 15th, 2021 - 7:25pmthought it might be along those lines
the ergon
March 15th, 2021 - 9:46pmIts going to be awkard without that accuracy unless has been mentioned they can come up with an alternative. There are a few 11 and 12th TARDIS’ i would like them to do. Not least the clara Memorial TARDIS.

March 15th, 2021 - 4:28pmThats just this one Tardis as it appeared in series 5-10, that’s issue 1 at this point, i suspect we could get all sorts here, Pink Tardis, B&W Tardis, Clara tribute Tardis, Bad Wolf Tardis etc etc
the ergon
March 15th, 2021 - 4:34pmJust going on what was written on the mag cover not box. I do so hope you are right and they do all of those Booboo.
booboo
March 15th, 2021 - 4:41pmWe are the only people who have that (accurate) mag cover for now, its definitely a new “line” of Tardis’s, the box is just a “holding image”.
Further issues maybe a while off though, its all about judging numbers i assume (like the consoles).
I think there might be more info in the next couple of days ( i dont think you should be seeing this right now lets say)
Joe 90
March 15th, 2021 - 12:16pmIs this the same as the TARDIS that launched the Special range back in 2013?
Special issue 1 was the TARDIS from the 11th Hour and am sure it was £15.99 when originally released.

March 15th, 2021 - 1:30pmWarlord Games ran into issues when releasing their TARDIS, of course in that case its down to the buyer to paint it so it was less of an issue but it had to be removed from promo shots.

March 15th, 2021 - 2:00pmThey could just include a generic white circle design, it’s not like the writing will be noticed at this scale.

March 15th, 2021 - 3:00pmSo those who got the 2013 model have an accurate one…lucky!
the ergon
March 15th, 2021 - 9:55pmIf they had the TARDIS door(s) open showing a stickered interior it would be less noticeable, by the absence of the sticker for a few of these releases. Or a simple compromise.
