Eaglemoss Doctor Who Slitheen Figurine Preview

Eaglemoss Doctor Who Figurine Collection previews

This is the first outsize figurine due early 2014. It’s a first pass 3D render and there have been only minor tweaks to this.

Doctor Who Figurine Collectors Polls

Below are several polls for you to vote for the most wanted companions and classic figures you would like to see included in the range.

If you see anything missing please leave a comment so we can amend the list

We have not covered Dalek or Cyberman variants unless they are one off’s and excluded minor characters.

We have also included figures that have already been listed as possible.

We may look at 2005+ figures later.

We will of course pass the results on to Eaglemoss.

Because this is still an early prototype, later ones will have the same stand.

I guess it is possible, it would be quite a squeeze, but not impossible. Given the release schedules for other magazines the second special issue will be due in the first week of Feburary, so it would be a bit early, but they could fit it in if they wanted.

However, they seem to be set on Omega being the first classic figure, so that would suggest the second special will be new series (and given other magazines it will be one of the ones in the questionnaire as well so either a Slitheen or the Face of Boe).

So they could do it but won’t.

Funny you should say that because I’m DELIBERATELY holding off opening all my figure collection sub arrivals until Christmas Eve 😉 I figure it’ll make it one hell-of-a special evening! 🙂

Just got issue 4 and 5 along with the plinth, both figures are great, no paint splodges, the plinth is made out of the same stuff as the figures, I thought it would be different. It’s quite heavy!

Getting the mags in the binder is bit of a faff, and the last few will be hard work. That said, once they are in they won’t be falling out again

      October 11th, 2013 - 2:49pm

I find it quite easy once you know what you’ve got to do, just pull out one of the pegs when putting a new one in.

Just had the Weeping Angel and Silurian figures arrive, along with the very heavy stand. I am very pleased I have continued with this collection as all are excellent, even the content of the magazines are getting better (not that they were bad anyway)

Good on Tom, he appears to have lost quite a bit of weight for these figures! Even for back in the day! Oh well, it is still an awesome sculpt – wouldn’t you agree?

Metallic like resin, says so on the backing boards of issues 1 and 2.

The important thing is that Tom actually looks like Tom. Lets hope the paint work is just as good as the sculpt. So glad I started this collection even if I was little let down by issue one (I actually went into Smiths and bought a second copy of issue one because the Matt figure I received in the post had such a poor paint job).

Eccelston has been confirmed as the next Doctor after Tom Baker (after that the planned line-up although not absolutely set in stone yet is Capaldi, Hurt, Davison, Pertwee, McCoy, Hartnell then Troughton, Colin Baker and McGann will follow).

The cynic in me is saying we’re seeing an unpainted Tom because the paint jobs were so variable on the Issue 1 Matt figurine, hope not, and hope that quality drop off is fixed before we see DT in a few issues time.

Well I just think it looks better how it is now than the 3.75″ which means it probably will look even better if it’s not even finished.
