Dr Who Figurine Collection #184 Novice Hame

The catkind nun Novice Hame is the next addition to our Doctor Who Figurines Collection!

A catkind nun in the order of the Sisters of Plenitude, Novice Hame tended to the sick and wounded in a hospital outside of New New York. Unfortunately, their miraculous cures had an unpalatable source – thousands and thousands of human clones, infected with every known disease and used as test subjects. The Doctor eventually exposed and cured these cloned victims, known to their creators as “The Flesh”, and Novice Hame was arrested along with her order.

This Novice Hame Figurine captures the likeness of the character as seen in the 2007 Tenth Doctor Adventure “Gridlock”. The figurine has been meticulously crafted in specially formulated metallic resin and painted by hand.

When I look at the quality of cat people in Who they seem backwards. Given that 20 years of effects advancements took place between Survival, Hame et Al and Hyph3n from orphan 55 and considering modern budgets somethings gone wrong. I really don’t get why people are so negative about the sfx in 80s Who, special weapons Dalek, blue demon destroyer and best cat people. All really good Eaglemoss figures too. Could a cheetah person on horse back be a special? Maybe I’m being unfair, perhaps cats are just difficult to get right as the movie version of the stage show proved.
