There was always a Torchwood Three (Cardiff). Jack has always worked there. So even before, during and after the battle of canary wharf, Torchwood Three was always a thing.

Oh and bill, I’ve seen and heard every story from an unearthly child to fugitive of the judoon. Don’t presume you speak for everyone please. I see no difference in who now or in any era.

I really hope Jacks appearance is planned with a Torchwood return in mind. I wonder would RTD be up for it. I can definitely see Chibnall wanting an RTD sized Whoniverse, something the Moffat era lacked.

They tried but it all either failed or came to an end. Sarah Jane adventures had to end. Torchwood ended as it just wasn’t popular enough and class was the same.

Starz/BBC wanted a fifth series of Torchwood, but Davies needing to reduce his workload of projects for personal reasons meant he couldn’t do it. It was nothing to do with it not being popular.

You realise that big finish has a small customer base?

I’d rather see a bigger and better UNIT come back quite frankly.

    Torchwood return on the cards?

I hope so, just not run by Chris Chibnall. He did a great job with Torchwood series 1 and 2, but is completely ruining Doctor Who. So I’d rather no Torchwood than bad woke Torchwood. Just like I never thought I’d rather Doctor Who be cancelled rn.

Personally I think it’s the opposite way round. I didn’t like torchwood at all but am loving Jodie.

@ Anonymous…… you must be young then… Torchwood was meant for an older audience with darker themes. You also must not have watched much of Doctor Who (classic and new series), Because this series of Doctor Who just doesn’t “feel” like Doctor Who!!! Just go back and watch Capaldis last season (Where people said that Doctor Who started losing it) and compare it to Jodies seasons. Capaldi’s era still felt like Doctor Who as opposed to the “Reading Rainbow” feeling of Jodies. Chibnall doesn’t care about Canon or the long lasted fans of Who. (He has pretty much said so along with Jodie!). He along with the BBC is destroying what Doctor Who was. If it continues along this line by the 60th anniversary this show will be no more. The BBC will just cancel the show because of the way it’s going.
