Doctor Who Titan Comic UK Vol 2 Issue 5
The time-travelling thrills continue in on the streets of London! In this month’s issue: the Twelfth Doctor and Clara are knee-deep in zombies and ashes (a sure sign of the apocalypse) and the Eleventh Doctor and his companions have to face a Cyberman army controlled by the Entity!

February 11th, 2016 - 4:40pmActually, Tales from the TARDIS#3 has a Next Issue blurb saying #4 will feature Ten,Eleven and Twelve. I’ve seen some people interpret this as suggesting Doctor Who Comic #6 will be the last of this title, and it will just be Tales from the TARDIS, in the smaller format, from there on out.

February 11th, 2016 - 6:05pmThat thought about Doctor Who Comic wrapping up its run next issue had sprung to my mind upon reading the Next Issue page in question, but given that both the Ninth and Fourth Doctors now have ongoing titles courtesy of Titan Comics, there’s an equally high probability that DWC may comprise of those series instead so as to shake things up somewhat. Unless DWC hasn’t sold particularly well in comparison to Tales (or vice versa), I can’t see Titan / BBC Worldwide wanting to nix the opportunity to bring in twice as much cash each month.

February 12th, 2016 - 9:16pmHave to agree with Tom. Can’t see them turning down the opportunity of £££Cash twice every month. TITAN have made such a hash of both titles it’s hard to know what’s going on anyway? They have printed so many incorrect details I wouldn’t be surprised if something isn’t wrong somewhere? DWC Issue # 6 is also 2nd. Year Volume 2 as the first volume stopped at Issue # 8 for Year One. Issue # 6 is supposedly 11th. Doctor ‘The Comfort Of The Good’ Finale with the 12th. Doctor finishing with ‘The Hyperion Empire’ Parts 3 & 4? So if going by Volumes why is Tales numbered at Issue # 4 if it start’s at a 2nd. Year Volume 2? It should obviously be Issue # 1 with the new stories featuring the 10th., 11th. & 12th. Doctors? See what a mess TITAN have made with all this? They should (As I have stated before) stuck with the original format. DWC should have been Doctor’s 10, 11 & 12 starting from the beginning of their stories, re-printed as originally run, clearly titled with the story & number. Everything else (Including one-shots, one-offs, FCBD, Specials, etc) & Doctor’s 4, 8, 9 & any other’s should have been in Tales. Total mess TITAN!

February 11th, 2016 - 3:18pmDefinitely shippers on deck at Titan! There were several variants on that issue’s original cover and they chose the romantic option for the reprint!

February 11th, 2016 - 2:47pmBecause of titan moving the tenth Doctor to a different comic release meaning to be able to follow all 3 you have to buy 2 comics instead of 1 I have decided to stop buying the uk comic and am instead buying the individual ones of there own series which are much higher quality.

February 11th, 2016 - 6:11pmHonestly, I can’t say I completely blame you in light of how haphazard Titan’s approach to detailing the two comics’ upcoming content has been (why couldn’t Tales from the TARDIS have prioritized the Fourth, Eighth and Ninth Doctors now that they each have individual series in the works? Will Doctor Who Comic serve this purpose going forward, I wonder?) of late.
At the same time, though, in spite of their current quirks, I’d still argue that at a total RRP of £8-9 a month, the two publications offer far better value for money than seems to be the case with buying individual Doctors’ semi-regular collections (for instance, whilst you can pick up ‘The Ninth Doctor: Weapons of Past Destruction’ for £10 on Amazon, over the course of three issues of Tales (costing £12 in total) we’ve had not only that storyline covered but also a Christmas Special for the Twelfth Doctor AND a 5-part Tenth Doctor tale to boot, thus offering something of a superior deal from my perspective).
