I think paying £30 for this is insane. I’d pay 20 MAXIMUM! Sorry but if they cancelled the 5 inch line then I’m never gonna pay £30 for one figure, not gonna be robbed blind! There’s not even a Clara to stand him with, or a TARDIS so there’s no point haha

They already released a TARDIS. Yes it doesn’t have a new backdrop but that can be added in easily.

I meant a new TARIDS interior playset for the five inch line haha

Ah I see. I would love a 2013 TARDIS set. They could quite easily tweak it to match Capaldi’s set and double their money.

Eh, as nice as it looks – it doesn’t look like the most phenomenal thing. For the £30, I thought it might be, almost, like the TARDIS box, not like the 11 Doctors set box.

Just to make it clear: I have Pre-Ordered one of these myself but think £22 should have been the maximum for this set! I don’t know if the increased cost is due to a fancy box or whatever? I do know that if it wasn’t in 5″ it wouldn’t sell half as much…

    • booboo

      July 15th, 2014 - 8:41pm

its generally acknowledged all round that this set seems expensive for what it is, but know one is coming up with a reason.

The “core” collectors (and there are actually quite a lot of them) are becoming more and more frustrated at the amount of hard to get exclusives being offered as well

no different sculpt ,taller and different heads and stuff

and different waist coat and coat

      so different figure

    • Trenzalore

      July 13th, 2014 - 6:31pm

Bracewells body?!?! The only similarity with that figure is they both have a swappable chest.

    • Joe Max

      July 13th, 2014 - 6:50pm

It’s a completely new figure sculpt.

    • Destroyer of Worlds

    • Davidscustoms11

      July 14th, 2014 - 9:12am

No the only thing that looks like Bracewell is the waistcoat and even that’s a new sculpt.

    • Destroyer of Worlds

      July 14th, 2014 - 8:13pm

I m talking about the swapple chest piece

    • Anonymous

Well even the chest price is different to the time of the Dr one

This one has good detail with stitching detain the other one is more plasticy

No it’s just that the original pic is purple but the FPI
      Picture is brown

  • JoePlaysGames

    July 13th, 2014 - 11:09am

By the look of the picture you cant pose him. You cant play with him its just a plastic statue. Look at the arms. No arm bends. Legs you cant really see but no arm bends. You can move the arms up and down but you cant turn them or bend them like you can on the other 11th doctor figures. If anybody has news if this is a possible figure please say.

    • booboo

      July 13th, 2014 - 11:16am

this is probably a pre production sample with some articulation yet to be added

    • Davidscustoms11

      July 13th, 2014 - 12:46pm

It’s just like the jacketless doctor figure the first image that came out had no articultion. Of course it’s going to have articulation.

    • Explosive Cookie

      July 13th, 2014 - 2:54pm

You do realise every image released of a figure with no articulation is just a prototype…It was the exact same with the original classic wave, all the promo pics had no articulation.

    • James A

      July 13th, 2014 - 4:15pm

I will have articulation, remember when they announced new figures back in 2006-10 and the images CO released looked as if they all had no-to-little articulation? They were just pre-production pics, like this one is above.

RANDOM FACT: post-prod figures are known to shrink by 5% from pre-prod.

    • ahunter8056

      July 13th, 2014 - 6:20pm

It’s a toy, of course it’s going to have articulation.

after the 3.75” and 5” figures both having a top button undone (peter capaldi fig),i think it must be something to do with series 8…

you will have to order a lot to make it worthwhile if it gets caught at costumes

the more you order the higher the post costs are

the shipping for one could be £28 + vat and goes up for each one added

you will have to order at least 7 just to get it at the same UK cost

Throw the aged head away when you buy it then? 😆 It’s just an added bonus that shouldn’t be taken too seriously 🙂 . There was the same problem with the War doctor figure set and I’m surprised people didn’t throw the 8th doctor head out after the massive FUSS some people made about it 🙄 😆

    • Explosive Cookie

      July 13th, 2014 - 9:49am

Its basically just what they did with The War Doctor figure and the random 8th Doctor head, not accurate on the body, just a bonus.

    • JoePlaysGames

      July 13th, 2014 - 11:06am

Why not get a series 5 11th figure and put the 10ths Coat on him and make him attach the old doctors head. Then paint it. Or paint the body first then attach the head.
P.S Explosive Cookie i like your customs you make on NerdSoup Forums. If thats you.

    • Davidscustoms11

      July 14th, 2014 - 9:15am

Or if you want to make a custom the easy way paint the coat red, using milliput make the fur texture on the lapels. paint the waistcoat a dark red, and just paint the bow tie. Saves you money from buying lots of figures and looks accurate too.

  • Anonymous

    July 11th, 2014 - 8:20pm

I think that the pic at the minute doesn’t do justice. It’ll end up like the classic doctors and the before release pics that showcased them with no articulation.

It was the cheapest on eBay. finn townley: definitely buy this set because even if you don’t want the 12th or old Doctor he still wears this outfit in the 50th anniversary, that’s mostly the main reason I pre-ordered this set because later in the future I’m creating a 10th doctor variant from the 50th.
