I am the 11th DOCTOR
July 9th, 2014 - 6:06pmI have 2 things I want to say:
1. The price is OUTRAGEOUS the war doctor set costed £15 not £30!!!
2. They should do a 5 inch set called
‘The Impossible Girl set’ that contains
1x 2013 Clara (name of doctor)
1x Victorian Clara in red dress
1x Oswin Oswald
Accessories:
1x Leaf
2x Soufflé
1x Computer
1x Snowman
1x Oven
1x Swappable hands with Oven Mitts (for Oswin)
And the background could have 3 sections
.Backstreets of London

July 9th, 2014 - 6:05pmI pre-ordered this today and I
honestly can’t wait to see it in person!! Of course, I’m a little annoyed that it’s so much for just one figure, but oh well, what can ya do, eh? But I’m not sure if I’m more excited for the figure or to see what the box that comes in looks like!! *_*
The Other
July 9th, 2014 - 5:45pmThis is DISGUSTINGLY overpriced, and I’m seriously questioning whether I’ll even buy one one of these as a result
There are a lot of other things I’d rather get that I could buy with that sort of money
Shame since this is a very nice figure 🙁
Tommy Timelord
July 9th, 2014 - 4:54pmHi i have bought this, dont know whether to cancel my order…what do u think?
The Other
July 9th, 2014 - 5:48pmDepends how much you want it
I consider it ridiculously overpriced, but if you’re prepared to pay that sort of money then stick with your order
booboo
July 9th, 2014 - 5:54pmi’m sure you will be delighted with it
the astronaut of death
July 9th, 2014 - 5:58pmI know it is over prised
But if this is the price and the only way I caan get thesis figure then so be it
Anonymous
July 9th, 2014 - 6:39pmI think we all agree that this is over priced…but that a-side, this is a fantastic set. I had the same dilema but I know I’d end up regretting it if I cancelled the order. At least we have 3 months to save up for it…if not longer as FP rarely release anything on the dates they orginally post.
ThePixelatedDalek
July 9th, 2014 - 4:02pmIf this set is £30 then how much is the Asylum of the daleks set be? Good God!
ThePixelatedDalek
July 9th, 2014 - 4:00pmFor the people that want to get three sets you do realise that that’s £90?! £90 for three 5″ figures – disgraceful!
Trenzalore
July 9th, 2014 - 4:04pmThe ELEVEN doctor’s set (with ELEVEN 5″ figures and fancy TARDIS packaging) had an RRP of £49.99. If this set really is £30 then that’s not far off the price of 11 figures.
the astronaut of death
July 9th, 2014 - 3:57pmbooboo how long do you think it will take to see and image of It in its pachaging
booboo
July 9th, 2014 - 3:58pmno idea, maybe only when its released
as i have said UT aren’t talking
it would be so much better if we have a full images of box and all contents
the astronaut of death
July 9th, 2014 - 4:00pmdo you think they will show it of at comic con
booboo
July 9th, 2014 - 4:00pmthat would as good a place as any
RhysCH
July 9th, 2014 - 3:53pmDo you think it’ll be like the Other Doctor figure? Or will it stay around for an while?
booboo
July 9th, 2014 - 3:55pmno idea really
Explosive Cookie
July 9th, 2014 - 3:47pmWell…still going to get 2. Going to display Matt and Peter and maybe in the future, if I need money I can sell one set.
oscar denman
July 9th, 2014 - 3:37pm£20 is alot for a 5 inch figure but £30!!!!! that is just taking the mick! im not made of money! ridiculous, im so annoyed!!!!!!
dalek eternal
July 9th, 2014 - 3:25pmridiculous price for one figure even with the accessories shame because you can make four variants although I am still going to try and get two because I have to have a Capaldi figure on display
Tom
July 9th, 2014 - 3:20pmI do feel that £30 is way too much to pay for one figure? Classic dr who 5 inch sets like the Daemons and the Claws of Axos had were three figure packs and they were selling for the same amount of money. It does seem a wee bit unfair. This will be the last 5inch dr who figure I will be buying as they are getting too expensive.
booboo
July 9th, 2014 - 3:25pmi dont mind paying if thats what it takes to get these figures
but not when its nearly half the price in the states there is something not right here, or the supply chain has changed
Anonymous
July 9th, 2014 - 4:16pmAgreed – I think its great for the show that these figures are in demand in other countries but I think the BBC need to revisit the licence with UT/CO if it is resulting in higher prices in the show’s home country.
Doctorwhorules1234
July 9th, 2014 - 5:39pmI think it will be 3 figures actually, and the third will be a secret Capaldi in costume
Anonymous
July 9th, 2014 - 3:20pmI just pre-ordered this! It feels good knowing I’ll get it, but I think it’s pretty carp that you only get one figure.
MrHalho
July 9th, 2014 - 3:37pmCarp as in the fish?
Carps are very pretty indeed.
Imlookingforthedoctor
July 9th, 2014 - 3:58pmI have also just Pre-ordered mine to. So glad that I know I will be getting it.
Doctorwhorules1234
July 9th, 2014 - 5:40pmSame, can’t wait till september
TheDoctor
July 9th, 2014 - 2:53pmso its just one figure?
booboo
July 9th, 2014 - 3:09pmyes

July 9th, 2014 - 3:37pmnoooo!

July 9th, 2014 - 2:51pmI emailed FP to ask if they knew why the price had been set so high by UT and compared it to previous one figure sets. As expected, their response was along their usual lines of “we know nothing”…however, they did say that they were passing on the enquiry to their directors. Not sure if thats becuase they have already been flooded by similar emails…or if they are actually taking my email seriously. No harm in us all asking the same question…even if the increase the discount slightly…its something.
booboo
July 9th, 2014 - 3:13pmthis is looking to me like a USA product subject to UK tax and import costs like the Bif bang pow stuff
Imlookingforthedoctor
July 9th, 2014 - 2:44pmI’m definitely buying this figure, not bothered that it’s just one figure… If you think about it this will be an easy figure to customize if your buying more than two.
Sam Richard Bentley
July 9th, 2014 - 2:28pmI don’t care how many heads are coming with it – £30 is way too much for one figure and a posh box.
I feel sorry for those who plan on buying one, let alone two, three etc.
the astronaut of death
July 9th, 2014 - 2:33pmwell im getting one
but my mum is paying half
so I am only paying £15
The Twelfth Doctor
July 9th, 2014 - 2:06pmI managed to preorder this last night but I’m horrified at the swappable chests. Not only are we paying £30 for one figure and a couple of accessories, it also means the figure will have a horrible split on his shirt at the back. Oh well, atleast we are getting a 5″ 7B Doctor.
the astronaut of death
July 9th, 2014 - 2:16pmi agree
Davidscustoms11
July 9th, 2014 - 3:16pmI don’t think there will be a split at the back as I’m guessing it will work something like this
Remove swappable head which reveals the waistcoat then like the john hurt figures scarf lift it up and put on the new one. Just a guess
The Twelfth Doctor
July 9th, 2014 - 8:04pmGreat idea, David. I really hope that’s the case 🙂
Doctor Who Crazy Ross
July 9th, 2014 - 1:57pmONE BODY. WE HAVE WAITED SO LONG FOR THESE FIGURES TO FIND THAT IT IS ONE. BODY.
AND NOT ONLY THAT, BUT IT’S £30. NOT EXACTLY CHEAP FOR ONE FIGURE WITH A FEW NEW SCULPTED BITS ADDED TO IT. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE GOOD OLD DAYS WHEN YOU COULD GET A 9TH/10TH REGENERATION MULTIPACK FOR JUST OVER £10…..???!!!
I AM OUTRAGED.
However, that annoying factor to one side. I;m still probably gonna get it.. haha
INJUSTICE
July 9th, 2014 - 1:05pmI think I will buy 2 sets.
One to have The 11th Doctor displayed and one to have The 12 Doctor displayed. Not really bothered displaying one with the aged head to be honest. It’s still annoying that we are only getting one figure we should be getting 2 figures really. I also think the it should be a bit cheaper!
the astronaut of death
July 9th, 2014 - 1:09pmI think its two figures
Trenzalore
July 9th, 2014 - 1:24pmIt says above it’s one.
The Twelfth Doctor
July 9th, 2014 - 8:07pmI’m just going to buy one in hope that we’ll be getting 5″ Capaldi in his costume. It seems a bit stupid to create the 5″ sculpt just for a regeneration figure.
Trenzalore
July 9th, 2014 - 12:32pmThe price is ridiculous for one body then loads of accessories. It’s like they’ve made it one body for the inconvenience, it will mean you would loose all the accessories if your not careful. Kind of put me off it now. I really hope they reconsider the price.
And another thing that would be really useful, if they actually told us how many of these they are planning to make; the eleventh doctor regeneration set is still fairly easy to get so I don’t see why it’s becoming so much more difficult in recent years.
the astronaut of death
July 9th, 2014 - 12:33pmIt might be two bodies
Trenzalore
July 9th, 2014 - 12:36pmIt doesn’t sound like it in the updated description. And if it does have two bodies but they’ve just decided not make that clear, well I’m certainly not buying it. Too much messing about.
Trenzalore
July 9th, 2014 - 12:39pmDoesn’t sound like it on the updated description 🙄
Trenzalore
July 9th, 2014 - 12:42pmAlso if they do lower the price, they will have one angry customer. They have one job and that is to give the public the information, price, etc… and so far they can’t seem to do that 🙄
JoePlaysGames
July 9th, 2014 - 11:14amI am not pre-ordering it. I am going to wait till its out. Theres no point in releasing it then. And whats the point of a Regenerated 12th Doctor in 5 inch. I think this would be bad for Doctor Who Figure Adventure Youtubers (Like Myself) as they could use the 11th but not the 12th. I think they should also release a 12th in his new costume as 5inch in the future. And for the price of £30 is crazy! And thats only %9 off! The War Doctor was £20 and he had 1 figure,1 head and The Moment. I will need to reply to carry on.
JoePlaysGames
July 9th, 2014 - 11:15amThis figure comes with 2 figures,2 accessories and 1 head. Also a wonderful box. So it should be £25.
The Werewolf
July 9th, 2014 - 11:24amIt’s practically at ebay/amazon price already.
Anonymous
July 9th, 2014 - 10:52amThis is a lovely set with cool accessories BUT £30 is very steep for one figure…regardless if there are two additional heads.
Anonymous
July 9th, 2014 - 10:55amNot sure how UT can justify a £10 differnce between this set and the Ace set…it must be the presentation box…which will be going straight in the bin once I get mine.
JoePlaysGames
July 9th, 2014 - 11:08amIts acctualy £32 its just 9% off. Also it does not come out till September.
Anonymous
July 9th, 2014 - 12:12pmYeah but you know the 9% off is nothing more than a marketing ploy. Anyway the main thing is that there is £10 difference between the 2 sets yet they are both 1 figures sets with roughly the same amount of accessories – in one you get 3 extra heads (if you include Handles), a sonic and a cane. The other you get extra arms, a painting and a boombox. What are we paying that extra £10 for…I hope its not the lump of cardboard its preented in.
Tom
July 9th, 2014 - 10:26amwhen will the it be available at forbidden planet.com?
booboo
July 9th, 2014 - 10:29amit might not be, they have not had all the exclusives recently
Tom
July 9th, 2014 - 8:00pmThats ashame will it be avalible at toys r us or amazon
UDWF1
July 9th, 2014 - 10:13amI’m a little disappointed that it’s one figure with swappable chest pieces and not two, especially since this costs £30. I know we’ve been waiting for this figure for a while but it’s still a tad overpriced
Nicholas
July 9th, 2014 - 9:55amEugh! Please don’t be £30 then. I hope FPi reduce the price
booboo
July 9th, 2014 - 10:01amprice must be right, they have updated the description but not price
Nicholas
July 9th, 2014 - 10:20am:/ I hope the packaging is good then. Will hold out and order this next month. Hoping we get a full costumed Capaldi soon, too.
JoePlaysGames
July 9th, 2014 - 2:23pmThey did reduce the price…it is really £32
Smithy1200
July 9th, 2014 - 9:55amForbidden Planet have updated their description saying
“Presented here is the Eleventh Doctor in his iconic final season long frock coat. The set comes with a Twelfth Doctor regenerated head plus young and ‘aged’ Eleventh Doctor heads with 2 swappable shirt/chest pieces. It also includes 1 x walking cane, 1 x Sonic Screwdriver and 1 x ‘Handles’ accessories.”
booboo
July 9th, 2014 - 10:00amyep just got that, still doesn’t explain the UK/USA price gap
Thomas Chappyer
July 9th, 2014 - 10:05amWhat Price Gap? is the American one cheaper?
booboo
July 9th, 2014 - 10:14amthe suggested price works out at £20, a couple have discounted it to £17
like this place for example http://www.urban-collector.com/doctor-who-time-of-the-doctor-action-figure-set-jul142310.html
£13 price gap
having said that Ace is also over £5 cheaper, nearly £6 infact
The Holographic Doctor
July 9th, 2014 - 9:49amDefinitely still buying this even though it’s £30 for 1 figure and some accessories. But I think it is fair for £30 as you get a lot with it which if all sold separately would probably add up to £30.
Doctor 909
July 9th, 2014 - 7:32amThis is coming from the “Great” Al Dewar: This is a single figure set with swappable waistcoats. £30 for 1 figure a a few accessories! That’s unbelieveable! Ace had loads of accessories and was a brand new sculpt and was only £15, this should be £20-£25!!!!! 😡
booboo
July 9th, 2014 - 7:43amIf thats the case I cant understand the price difference between UK an USA
Ian
July 9th, 2014 - 8:32amYeap one figure set.Yet to be announced for the US officially yet. I guess we are paying for the extra 12th Doctor head and the packaging.
booboo
July 9th, 2014 - 8:55amit was though on Diamond – with a RRP of $34.99 (£20.00)
dont forget FP is also discounted it would be the equivalent of $56 – something is wrong somewhere
some one has a price wrong or we in the UK are getting a massive hike for some reason
they dont pay vat but they do pay local sales taxes, difference should be 15% at most
its either that or they are having to import these in a different way like the Bif bang Pow stuff that was double the USA price by the time it got here
Davidscustoms11
July 9th, 2014 - 8:48amI’m guessing it will work something like this:
Remove swappable head and then this reveals the waistcoat (a bit like the scarf on the john hurt figure) then remove a waistcoat and put on the other one.
Just a guess
Melkur
July 9th, 2014 - 9:05amIt’s as if they have directly translated the US dollar price into British pounds, and not actually worked out the exchange rate.
booboo
July 9th, 2014 - 9:09ampersonally i just wish UT (its their product) would come out and say officially exactly what this set is
the FP listing states 11th AND 12th Doctor Figure in the heading
“Doctor Who Exclusive – The Time of the Doctor 11th & 12th Figure”
thats pretty misleading if its only one figure and a head
