Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock Now Available on PlayStation 3

With thanks to BBC Worldwide…

Players travel across time and space to discover the mystery of the Eternity Clock

LONDON, 3.01PM 23rd May, 2012 – BBC Worldwide Digital Entertainment & Games today announced that Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock is now available for download on PlayStation®Network on PlayStation®3 globally.

Brand New Launch Trailer…

The game immerses players in the universe of Doctor Who across 600 years of history and the future. Players take on the roles of the Doctor and River Song as they travel across time and space to save the Earth, and time itself. In order to be successful, they must master the complexities of time travel through exceptional time-based game play – changes made in one time will impact another, creating multiple possibilities and challenging players to solve puzzles across the centuries.

Equipped with the Doctor’s “sonic screwdriver,” River’s “blaster” and other fantastic gadgets, players journey through four London time periods and a number of other-worldly locations in search of answers. With collaborative multiplayer capabilities, players can take part in the game simultaneously across different time periods, facing some of the most fearsome monsters including Silurians, Cybermen, Daleks and the Silence.

Robert Nashak, EVP Digital Entertainment and Games at BBC Worldwide said, “Doctor Who is such a beloved BBC franchise, and we’re fortunate to work collaboratively with the creative minds behind the TV show, bringing fans an authentic experience in the universe that is Doctor Who.”

The stars of the Doctor Who TV series Matt Smith (the Doctor) and Alex Kingston (River Song) provide voiceovers for the game, and motion capture technology creates in-game character movements to add realism to the ultimate Doctor Who gaming experience.

Developed by BBC Worldwide Digital Entertainment & Games and Supermassive Games, Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock is available for download on PlayStation®Network for the PlayStation®3 in the UK for £13.99, U.S. for $19.99 and across Europe for €17.99. The PlayStation Vita and PC platforms will follow later this year.

I have to admit, this game has really improved. I can’t believe I was quite harsh on it yesterday. I’m currently on the Deep Beneath The Earth chapter, haven’t played much of it yet, but I look forward to it.
Also, I’m really loving the collectibles. The Doctor’s Hats are just hilarious and River’s Diary is very intriguing. 😀

Hopefully this comment won’t be in moderation when I post it. I can’t get past the second half of City Streets, I can do the bit with the Doctor when he goes through the Time Corridor but I can’t do the bit with River and the Cybermen in the Office.
Somebody please help, I can’t understand what you have to do.

    Thanks,

Make you’re way to the top of the building, walk along to the machine thing where the cybermen should have smashed through and do the puzzle.

How do you do the bit with River and the Cybermen in the office building. I don’t get it.

This might sound a bit complicated (probably not), but here goes: you need to wait untill the Cybermen have smashed through the Security Hub on the top floor. Then, wait a while (you don’t have to wait a while, but it’s best if you avoid the Cybermen for as long as possible) and get back to the top floor where you can do the puzzle (it’s the same as the Re-Router one from the London Underground chapter, except this time there are two). Finally, once you’ve completed the puzzle, the door will open and the Doctor will be outside. 🙂

I’ve finally progressed in the game!!!!!!! 😀 Now I need to re-route the Security Hub to get out of Lockdown. Apart from the advancing Cyber squadrons, this shouldn’t be a problem. 😉

I’m stuck on the bit where River needs to use the Sonic to electrify the tracks. It doesn’t help that I can’t stand that Sonic Screwdriver puzzle. 🙁

i was on that for ages! try to electrify the platforms in order and if you can stand in the middle so that you can acess two quickly and electrify them, just keep running and be careful of the jumps because i kept being electricuted. hope this helps

Thanks for the advice, I’ll try it out later. 🙂 Just a a shame I’ll have to play the other Underground parts again. That ‘Get to the door before the Cybermen and then wait for River to blast it unless the game has glitched again and she disappears and then Sonic the door twice…and then do it again’ part is so annoying. 🙁
So far, The Eternity Clock hasn’t met with my expectations. I can only hope it improves. 🙂

It’s so goo although the jumping everywhere isn’t really doctor who it fits in and the script really does make a good game. Also I find it highly addictive but that may just be me. There’s points in the game were you see a flicker of a silurian and little things like that make up the game.:)

It sounds like you’re talking about the retail version. If so, then that isn’t released til Friday and I doubt it’ll be £40. Amazon were taking pre-orders with a price of £14.97. I say were because they’re out of stock. Lucky I pre-ordered mine weeks ago! 🙂

Then again, I did have exactly the same problem with the Adventure Games. I hated them at frist because I couldn’t play them. Now I like them because I can. With this though? I doubt I’m going to get one of them PS3s anytime soon. They’re far too expensive.
