Doctor Who: The Doctor – His Lives and Times

his-life-timesDoctor Who: The Doctor – His Lives and Times

‘I’m the Doctor. I’m a Time Lord. I’m from the planet Gallifrey in the constellation of Kasterborous. And I’m the man who’s going to save your life.’

He’s made a mark on almost every era of history, and he’s touched millions of lives across space and time. In these pages you’ll find just some of the stories behind those brief encounters, each of them addressing the question that must never, ever be answered: ‘Doctor Who?’

This is the story of an impossible life – of a man who borrowed a spaceship, travelled through time and continually saved the universe – as told by the Doctor’s friends, by his enemies, and by the man himself. Letters, journals, trial records, secret government files and the occasional bit of tabloid journalism reveal the never-before-told story of Gallifrey’s last Time Lord.

But Who-ology and this are quite different books though written by the same people.

All these books contain the same things: TARDIS stands for Time and Relative Dimension In Space, Amy Pond saw the Doctor after he regenerated…

The 2009 and 2010 Official Annuals are practically the same. If you are not going to remove old things, why not update them?

There are so many reference books being released this year which is great. I only hope I don’t end up reading the same things over and over again after reading Who-ology.

Actually no, it goes 1,2,3,4,9,10,8,6,7,5. Basically placing the recent doc in the middle and evening the rest either side.

He is not The Doctor. He is whatever The Doctors name is.

It annoys me that the eleventh doctor is always featured the most on these sorts of things. He’s bigger than all of the doctors put together on this cover! look how small the first doctor is!
I know he’s the current Doctor and everything (and he’s definitely not the best), but give the others a bit of respect.

I don’t mind its just the way things work

their not going to have like the 5th or the 7th doctor bigger that all the others are they

    • McGann is the Doctor

      May 26th, 2013 - 8:45pm

He is the current Doctor therefore it makes perfect sense.

What bugs me is that they Doctors aren’t in order, making the lamest Doctor, 10th, the centre of attention among them

and once again, they have tried to make the 6th Doctor as inconspicuous as possible, shrouding him in shadow 😡 how dare they shroud that beautiful outfit !

yes, but this is about all incarnations of the doctor (excluding Hurt for obvious reasons), so it would make sense to feature them all in order, like ‘McGann is The Doctor’ said, and to have them all the same size.
