April 16th, 2015 - 7:43pmI agree, Booboo. If not, then late August, or if they’re pushing it: Early January.

April 16th, 2015 - 5:16pmNot available in hull as a test area so have subscribed. Let’s see if they turn up
TimelordSupreme35
April 16th, 2015 - 4:48pmSo, if yhese go well, will they sell them every where?
booboo
April 16th, 2015 - 5:53pmyes although test are usually to judge production numbers so they dont massively under or over produce

April 16th, 2015 - 4:41pmWhere is the test area, and will they be available nation wide?

When The Doctor Was Me
April 16th, 2015 - 1:39pmI love the look of this collection! The TV and Film industry is what i want to get into and have been studying it for years! This set not only is a look behind the camera but for Doctor Who! However at the moment I am struggling to pay bills I already have! So for now i’m not going to subscribe and see if/when it has national release if I am finacially able to start collecting!
Some bloke
April 16th, 2015 - 10:32amIs the first issue out now?

April 16th, 2015 - 12:50amFor 9.99 I would like it to be collectable and worth something’s in the future
In a couple of months they will be like £3 each on eBay!
Is there a discount for subscribing ?
booboo
April 16th, 2015 - 7:56amno but you get all the free gifts
booboo
April 16th, 2015 - 8:04amyes people drop off and they are sold off on ebay in the early days, happens with all part works but it depends if you actually want the complete series
The only way to ensure it is to subscribe from day one
bryan Simcott
April 16th, 2015 - 10:51amA small one, as the first issue is free with you first delivery .But as booboo says, it is negligable discount, but you do get the free gifts. and at this price point, I would be surprised if many would fling them on Ebay (hardback books are more collectable, and would hold some of thier value for longer.
although the first 4 months will be telling as thats when the free gifts run out (for now)
mick
April 15th, 2015 - 11:08pmif you look on the website it says the 8th doctor only did one story, no mention about the night of the doctor
Sam Richard Bentley
April 15th, 2015 - 11:19pmThat’s because Night was a mini-episode/prequel. It doesn’t count. It’ll be mentioned in the TV Movie book though, I’m sure.
Cyber lords
April 15th, 2015 - 10:56pmIs it certain that this is a test?

April 15th, 2015 - 10:37pmI’m actually quite surprised that they haven’t started with a capaldi episode.
Sam Richard Bentley
April 15th, 2015 - 10:08pmI’ve decided not to collect these now. They’re a lot of money, and although they look great, I’d only really be interested in the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th and 11th ones really. And, as my father pointed out, I am better off continuing my DVD collection, than starting this, as lovely as it is.
PedroPete
April 15th, 2015 - 10:12pmYeah I might get issue 1 but I’d only really be collecting the whole collection for the big finish story which I am keen to start a collection of.
Sam Richard Bentley
April 15th, 2015 - 10:14pmI mean, I really wanted the The Daleks print and that would mean subscribing for the first issue, and then… cancelling. Too much hassle for me aha
Massive 12 fan
April 15th, 2015 - 9:59pmI am so having this.

April 15th, 2015 - 9:41pmHow much is it to subscribe?

April 15th, 2015 - 9:18pmCan anyone tell me the test areas please?
timelord63
April 15th, 2015 - 9:14pmWhat areas of country is this out? Fed up of these test periods. Should just be released everywhere
booboo
April 15th, 2015 - 9:20pmthey do the tests so they have a rough idea of how many to produce
StetsonDoctor
April 15th, 2015 - 9:14pmSo these are definitely test issues then? How come you can subscribe though? Is that like a way for Panini to see how many people would subscribe before they do it for real?
booboo
April 15th, 2015 - 9:20pmbasically yes, they usually always do this but subscribing isn’t limited
was the same with the figurine collection
MickeySmith07
April 15th, 2015 - 8:47pmJust subscribed to these and i am going to cancel my Titan comics subscription as im not a big fan of them.

April 15th, 2015 - 8:40pmby the time you have all 80 books wont there have been 3 or 4 more series of doctor who so they are going to have to add them or it will be out of date by the the time the last book is out.
WhenISayRun
April 15th, 2015 - 9:46pmAnd more money to panini. How cunning of them.
VespiformsSting
April 15th, 2015 - 8:37pmI don’t know exactly what a travel mug is..a mug with a lid on to stop it spilling I suppose …but it looks like it would be just the thing to stash pens, pencils and other stationery in on my computer desk…..
VespiformsSting
April 15th, 2015 - 8:15pmWonder what the piece of Dead planet artwork is ..It’s not Alistair Pearson’s virgin reprint cover….looks good though….
James
April 15th, 2015 - 8:08pmFirst glance: Woah! 12 Guides, 1 for each of the doctors, about every episode! This looks amazing! I’ve been waiting for this for years.
Second Look: Oh wait, each one only covers a few episodes…
Then: Uh-Oh! 80 issues!
Finally: So that’s just under £700 if I subscribe. Yeah, maybe I’ll take a miss on this one…
I’ve been waiting for years for them to do one single guide book, with just like a page about each episode (Like the pages you’d see in the Ultimate Monster Guide). With this coming out, that seems like an impossibility.
I know there’s some unofficial ones, but they only ever include like a blurb on each episode, and then just give cast notes.
VespiformsSting
April 15th, 2015 - 8:17pmIf the material is accurate Id say this is going to be ‘the Encyclopedia Britannica’ of Dr Who…of course got to see how accurate it is. There are some basic mistakes in the dvd mags…different company I know….
booboo
April 15th, 2015 - 8:32pmits always going to look expensive this way and shouldn’t put people off, same as the figurine collection
you can cancel at any time, you are not tied in
Claraoswald
April 15th, 2015 - 8:07pmDoes anyone know if this is just a test area thing or not?
Claraoswald
April 15th, 2015 - 8:19pmAnd what areas it is being tested in?
booboo
April 15th, 2015 - 8:35pmwe just dont know but these is nothing to stop you subscribing
Claraoswald
April 15th, 2015 - 8:37pmBut i wouldnt want to sub without getting the first one and knowing if i can afford it:/
booboo
April 15th, 2015 - 8:49pmi suspect this is a test run anyway, they would be making a song and dance about it otherwise
TheOncomingStorm
April 15th, 2015 - 8:03pmthey look pretty neat, gonna burn a massive hole in your pocket if you want the lot though!
James
April 15th, 2015 - 8:10pmSubscription will set you back just under £700 (80 issues for £9.99 each, but with the subscription process, I think you get 1 issue free for every 5 or 6 other ones).
thehostproductions

April 15th, 2015 - 6:46pmLooks as if the orders going to be a bit higgledy piggledy…..Nice cover though……Id have preferred a start from the beginning but I suppose Tennant’s popularity as usual is going to trample over all else….
