May 31st, 2021 - 4:01pmEarlier had this in hand in HMV and it seemed tiny compared with the limited version. I’m definitely sticking with the limited versions.

June 14th, 2021 - 11:05amYes I agree, I also had a look in hmv. The limited editions have the best artwork and the packaging is overall much more satisfying. But I guess the repackaged versions will take up less space.

April 22nd, 2021 - 6:57pmI have a question regarding the optional CGI effects from the DVDs. I know all previous special features from the DVDs is included including the optional upgraded CGI effects (in this case the stories Kinda and Earthsock) but have those versions been upgraded in quality as well or will those versions be as they were on DVD?

April 27th, 2021 - 10:20pmAll episodes have been given the “HD” treatment. But a couple of them get that, as well as new CGI. Hope that helps.

April 28th, 2021 - 9:36pmBut are the ones that had new CGI done for the DVDs also in HD? So say I select on either Kinda or Earthshock which had new CGI for the DVDs would that version of the story be in “HD” as well?

April 28th, 2021 - 9:45pmI did not make that as clear as I meant . I meant if I select the optional CGI on Kinda and Earthshock that had new CGI done for the DVD would that be in HD as well?

April 29th, 2021 - 1:09amI’m pretty sure they just transfer the CGI from the SD to the HD version of the story. I don’t see why this would be hard to do.
Gordon
April 29th, 2021 - 1:21amIt all depends on if the original cgi masters exist or not to render them in hd. I’m not 100 percent sure on this but I believe some do and some don’t. I’m not quite sure on which ones though. For ones that do will be in hd. For ones that don’t will be just an upscale
SilentNinjaZero
April 29th, 2021 - 6:34amThanks Gordon. I thought that would be the case. It would be interesting to know which masters do exist.

April 29th, 2021 - 5:33pmBut the normal footage in DVD CGI versions is still HD? I don’t really mind if the CGI itself is in HD or not as that understandable. Its hard to explain exactly what I mean.

May 2nd, 2021 - 7:09amIf you mean the episodes themselves, they are always in HD on the blu-rays no matter if you turn CGI on or off. Hope that helps.
