December 2nd, 2013 - 5:42pmGlad Hurt is not on the list he isn’t the Doctor for all those who thinks he counts he doesn’t end of.
agent1320
December 2nd, 2013 - 6:15pmHe is a real doctor -_-
DOCTOR WHO ONE
December 2nd, 2013 - 6:22pmHe does count.
Watch ‘The Night of the Doctor’ and you’ll see how the 8th Doctor becomes him.
If you saw ‘The Day of the Doctor’, you’ll know we see him start to regenerate into Christopher Ecclestons 9th Doctor.

December 2nd, 2013 - 6:31pmI think they are going for the “he’s been removed from the count” route. After it was revealed Gallifrey wasn’t destroyed and he had actually helped in saving it they started counting him as a Doctor again.
However, he won’t mess up the fan nomenclature because all that is what the fans call him, not what it actually is.

December 2nd, 2013 - 6:57pmIt was a pity we didn’t start to see Eccleston’s face morphing from Hurt during the end of his regeneration. It leaves the door open for Moffatt to put in another incarnation of the Doctor at some point, in between Hurt and Eccleston! I know Eccleston didn’t want to be in it but surely there was footage somewhere that could have been inserted nearing the end of the regeneration. His face could have been obscured somewhat by light from the regeneration anyway. But I was hoping to at least see Eccleston briefly at some point in the changeover.

December 2nd, 2013 - 7:08pmwhen we were at the convention it was said they filmed more but cut it at the point we saw
Friend of the Ood
December 2nd, 2013 - 9:48pmI love how that is so not the “end of”. This will be the debate we will still be having in 50 years.

December 2nd, 2013 - 11:15pmIf they had filmed more and cut it they should of put it on the Blu ray/DVD.
George The Lovebirds
December 3rd, 2013 - 3:29pmEcclestons face was clearly shown when Hurt was regenerating!
As also agree Hurt IS The Doctor. …. The War Doctor….. but The Doctor all the same.

December 3rd, 2013 - 3:49pmThe Moff did say that the numbering of the Doctors isn’t going to change so its like this…
1st Doctor – 1st Body
2nd Doctor – 2nd Body
3rd Doctor – 3rd Body
4th Doctor – 4th Body
5th Doctor – 5th Body
6th Doctor – 6th Body
7th Doctor – 7th Body
8th Doctor – 8th Body
War Doctor – 9th Body
9th Doctor – 10th Body
10th Doctor – 11th Body
11th Doctor – 12th Body
12th Doctor – 13th Body
So its not about Doctor numbering really is it? Its about Body Numbering!
