Doctor Who: Shroud of Sorrow BBC Books
Doctor Who: Shroud of Sorrow
Written by Tommy Donbavand
A thrilling new adventure from the spectacular BBC series, starring Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman.
23 November, 1963
It is the day after John F. Kennedy’s assassination – and the faces of the dead are everywhere.
PC Reg Cranfield sees his late father in the mists along Totter’s Lane.
Reporter Mae Callon sees her grandmother in a coffee stain on her desk.
FBI Special Agent Warren Skeet finds his long-dead partner staring back at him from raindrops on a window pane.
Then the faces begin to talk, and scream… and push through into our world.
As the alien Shroud begins to feast on the grief of a world in mourning, can the Doctor dig deep enough into his own sorrow to save mankind?

June 2nd, 2013 - 3:12pmI hear this book is very good but when they go to SPOILER the planet it turns into a very childish outing.
Sort of like the last quart of Secret of Nihm 2.

February 15th, 2013 - 5:55pm23rd of November 1963 is when it is set! This should crash with Remembrance of the Daleks, does this mean books aren’t part of the Whoniverse?

February 15th, 2013 - 5:56pmSorry was Remembrance of the Daleks wasn’t exactly 23rd of November.

February 15th, 2013 - 5:56pmOfficially, they are neither in or out (for legal reasons the BBC can’t confirm canon status unless they provide it for free).
Also, Remembrance is set in London, this story is not so it doesn’t matter either way.

February 17th, 2013 - 3:54pmOh yes, cheers mate 🙂
The TARDIS
April 4th, 2013 - 8:01amJust because they’re both set on 23rd November doesn’t mean they’re going to clash, after all, I sort of get the feeling this is set in America whereas Remembrance was in England.
