Sorry for those who are having to deal with the faff of the mislabeled amazon sets, but can someone who received a copy check disc 5 to see if the new sky striker missile fx on Vorus’ screen in ‘Revenge’ part 2 have been fixed.
    Cheers 🙂

Had a quick look. Must still be wrong. One scene shows new animation, then on next shot is just white model again.

Ah that’s a shame, this re-release would have been a good excuse to for them to have corrected it, given it has been on recent US replacement discs. Thanks for checking though. 🙂

Received mine today and it says ‘second edition’ underneath so there’s your difference. Seems the first release will still fetch silly prices.

Underneath where? I’ve seen images/videos of 7 of the S12 sets sent by Amazon today and nowhere do I see the words “second edition” on the packaging.

2nd Edition is on bottom of J-card.
      Just looked at mine.

Mine is same as others. Wrong images of Season 10 on the discs but correct media.

Gonna see what response people get on here before getting in touch with Amazon and/or the BBC.

I pre ordered mine on amazon back when it was announced as being available and I’m still waiting for mine to be dispatched, and I used top up to pay the full ammount. They are still showing a delivery time of March 31st 2020.

The reason that the BBC aren’t going to do replacement discs is because: the content on the S10 discs inside the S12 set appear to hold the content from S12 (it’s just the discs are marked as S10). So The Three Doctors disc is actually Robot. Carnival is actually Ark in Space. And so on

And now it appears that some of the S12 sets that Amazon have sent out don’t even have booklets! Amazon are telling people that they should just send back the item for a full refund and “wait for it to come back in stock again”. So it looks as though if you’ve been sent the S12 set today with the S10 discs in it – well, that’s all you’re going to get. As far as Amazon is concerned, they’ll just refund you and forget about trying to send a proper S12 to you. Shameful display, it really is. I only hope that Zoom (who are sticking to the original 30th March date (confirmed through email today) have the corrent release and I’m not going to be waiting 20 days just to recieve the S10 discs.

Apparently ALL sets have been recalled, due to them having season 10 discs put inside them in error.
(This is actually quite strange, considering that season 10 is supposedly now discontinued)!
Also the artwork on the spines is out of line too,
so may have to be completely reprinted.
Does anybody else feel as though there is some kind of curse hanging over season 12….?

      March 3rd, 2020 - 5:00pm

I know someone who got one of these sets, it’s not spare season 10 discs that have been put in the sets, it’s just they got the artwork wrong , the actual discs do have the correct content i.e season 12.

    • Chris

      March 3rd, 2020 - 5:06pm

Heh heh. No curse, just shoddy work.

Mistakes happen, I know, but come on. This is a limited edition product, which people pretty much have to pre-order if they want to be sure of getting one, that then can’t even meet it’s release date. Consistently. The list of mistakes with this range is seemingly endless too. (Season 23 spine art anyone? I mean, I don’t actually care about that but still a screw up.)

I’d be embarrassed to have anything to do with the production of this range right now. It’s a mess, regardless of whose fault it is.

It’s a pity that Zoom haven’t informed people of the delay, which is what Amazon does. Had I not read here about the problems I’d be slightly more miffed, especially given that this is the first – and last time – I’m ordering from Zoom. Poor customer service.

    • Rob W

      March 3rd, 2020 - 8:38pm

I’d let Zoom know you are disappointed Alan, Amazon would probably offer you a £5 gesture of goodwill against a future purchase. You never know your luck mate.

    March 2nd, 2020 - 6:20pm

Hi guys, for those who have ordered this box set from Zoom.co.uk I have contacted them this morning as regards to the whole “Sent to Warehouse” confusion. Basically they have told me that the supplier has informed them of the manufacturing error where the wrong season discs have been put in and that this has just simply pushed the release date back to the 30th March. So as far as I can tell you will all still be receiving them just not until then. Hope this helps and gives a bit of peace of mind.

My thoughts too, I wonder what they’d call it?

    • Kenman

      March 1st, 2020 - 6:39pm

They will likely call it “The Wilderness Years” as that sums up all that will likely be included.

    • Kyle Edgecomb

      March 2nd, 2020 - 12:34am

It should include mostly Paul McGann material such as the TV Movie, Night of the Doctor, perhaps a couple of his big finish stories as bonus material, and other stuff during the the wilderness years such as Dimensions in Time, Scream of the Shalka and Curse of Fatal Death

    • Gordon

      March 2nd, 2020 - 9:35am

probably won’t include dimensions partly due to the contractual issues that were agreed upon at the time and the fact that children in need want £60 grand just for its inclusion.

    • Kenman

      March 2nd, 2020 - 11:02pm

As much as Dimensions sucks, and sucks hard, it is a shame it will likely not be worked out. You’d think they’d be able to set it up where they really tout the charity or something as an exchange. But I suppose it is what it is.

    • dazzleshell

      March 3rd, 2020 - 11:55am

With DIT they should include it. It might be £60k cost to do but surely the set won’t retail at same price as the other Seasons if it isn’t included.

£39.99 is a lot for just TV Movie being an official canon story. Even with all the extra content that we expect.

If they do include it and sell it for full price or near full price that should pay for use of DIT. Which as a collector I’d be happy as long as we get everything possible.

    • Toby Price

      March 9th, 2020 - 11:27am

Hopefully if this set is made, it will include the webcasts, especially the sequel to Shada, which stars Paul McGann.

So everyone is talking about their zoom orders being on ‘sent to warehouse’ but the release date is 30/3, but I’ve been charged by zoom. Has anyone else had this? It still says sent to warehouse, but they’ve taken my money when its saying it wont arrive till 30th. I’m hearing people say about early batches being ok, but I’m just confused about why they have charged me but saying the 30th… like, is it coming and they’ve correctly charged me, or is the date right and they’ve charged too early. The release date changes work well for me; 14 was the wrong side of pay day and is now at a nicer time money wise

I cancelled The Faceless Ones steelbook as it was too much in one month with this now I have just reordered it. March was always a bit expensive for releases! As much as I am enjoying the current series and as lush as the steelbook looks that price has to come down before I buy that one!

Sorry for not replying earlier, Amazon gave me a £5 credit as a gesture of goodwill as I asked what the delay was. The rather long reply did not mention any issue other than the supplier changing the release date.

I’ll try and ask Amazon tonight then. No harm in trying to get £5 credit
