Couldn’t a new logo be created. Or did you have to use the current logo for these?

September 18th, 2024 - 10:28pmI’m not Rex F, promise! I only post under my own name.
The assets for these had the old McGann / Jodie logos on, yes. We were asked to switch out to the one used.

September 19th, 2024 - 10:59amNo biggy, I was just impressed with Rex’s comic knowledge.
I have completely no idea if any of the above artwork is influenced by well know DC or MARVEL covers.
I like them, some.of the connections are weird. Like having the Bad Wolf sparay on a tennant cover.
Bit they look good.

September 17th, 2024 - 9:05pmMaking a comeback, eh? Just saw that someone found one of the old metal poster versions of these at a charity shop/thrift store recently.

September 17th, 2024 - 7:15pm“ Doctor Who pays tribute to some of your favourite comic strip covers!”
It is meant to be obvious what the famous comic covers are?

September 18th, 2024 - 8:09amI can see that one has hints of Detective Comics #27 in the red masthead, but beyond that…
I also get the feeling that someone was really hoping that they wouldn’t be made to use the current DW logo.

September 18th, 2024 - 12:17pmThe Capaldi one is an homage to Giant Size X-Men.
The Davison one is an homage to Steranko’s Nick Fury covers. Can’t remember the specific issue.
