Steven Moffat did it because if he did another two parter it would just carry on an expectation of multi-part finales which would in turn make it harder to do a single part one in future (and it would of meant a single part series “premier”).

They should definitely use the test set advanture cards “slitheen sludge” and “headless clone”. To answer your question “can you guess the scenes of the cards?”, I was thinking I would call one church defence from the episode “father’s day”.

Possibly a melting Amy Ganger which allows you to instantly defeat an opponents card?

Loved seeing slitheen ultra rare, it relly made me happy when I got it. The 1st set only did four ones from series 1. (“Ninth Doctor” from the “parting of the ways”, “slitheen” from “world war three”, “exploding bomb” from the “doctor dances” and “the empty child” from the “empty child”). Would love monster invasion two times as much if they created more ones form series 1.

Mind you, from the RTD era there isn’t a Mickey Smith or Donna Noble (I’m not going to count “DoctorDonna”) card yet.

I think the only ones we would get would be ones that aren’t obviously human like K-9 or a current companion like Amy.
But some classic 3-D cards would be good. Second Master perhaps?

August 21st, 2011 - 6:06pmHe just showed up out of the blue in The Deadly Assassin having said that he had regenerated (possibly several times since the Roger Degaldo incarnation) and was on his final life. He then showed up (again unexpected) in The Keeper of Traken healed slightly but still badly rotten. He then merged into the body of Tremas (Nyssa’s father) to become the “Third Master” as some would deem him. That Master was then executed by the Daleks and managed to regenerate again into a transparent snake like lifeform who possesed the body of an ambulance driver

He was then ressurected during the Time War as the “Fifth Master” and you know the rest.

If there were moving image cards they could do astronaut reveal, I don’t want to go(probably the name of tenth doctor regeneration card even though that was the most un-doctorly line ever!!), damaged master(end of time villain card) and silent attack!

Remember card “125 Diseased Man” and “067 Sycorax”, their just like the weeping angel ultra we have now. I think the reaon why they haven’t done moving images FOR ULTRA RARES this time, is because other time technology has got better, so they introduced super rare 3-D.

August 20th, 2011 - 5:01pmI zoomed in on the picture, the image was blurred pretty badly but I could make out David Tennant’s face pretty easily and I think I recognise the promotional image from The End of Time and judging by the size of the four words it looks like it might be The End of Time.

August 20th, 2011 - 5:06pmJudging by the size of the first word it’s a “the” which narrows it down to The Age of Steel, The Family of Blood, The Waters of Mars and The End of Time.
If it was one of the first two you would expect a bow tie (from the Tuxedo or John Smith’s costume) and the fire in the background seems a bit odd for the Waters of Mars. But there were two Eleventh Doctors from The Eleventh Hour so it’s not impossible.

August 21st, 2011 - 12:22pmIt’s a different costume from his one in The Fires of Pompeii. It looks like a brown suit with a light shirt (but in that story his shirt was very dark in colour although it was a brown suit so it may be the lighting on the tin).

August 19th, 2011 - 11:22amHas anyone noticed that on the monster invasion website, if you got to the homepage, you see a “the flood” card undernath “the cards”. It looks completley differnt to the one now and the test set one. It’s a bit strange.

August 23rd, 2011 - 5:49pmThe moving images are the Inifnite cards. They will not start doing them with ultra rares. Each card rarity has a special feature (excpet Ultra Rares) to it and they don’t move away from it
COmmon (standard card)
Rare (Shiny with bonus for online games)
Super Rare 3-D (gives a 3-D model)
Inifnite (moving image)
Everythign else is Ultra Rare (but they do not include anything from the above list).
