Still no sign of this on Panini’s website. Did it come and go?

It goes without saying Philip Madoc will make the top 100. Though I’d also like to see Marius Goring, who like Kevin Stoney, was foolish enough to think they could make deals with Daleks. George Pastell as Klieg. The Sci Fi equivalent of the character he played in Hammer’s Mummy films. And Peter Barkworth. When I finally saw “The Ice Warriors”, I was struck by just how good he was in that, and how seriously he took the role of Leader Clent.

Long overdue as a topic for one of these specials. Lots of competition, but I’m hoping that Alethea Charlton, Zienia Merton, Stephanie Bidmead and Carmen Munroe have made the list.

Totally agree about their merit but I fear they won’t be regarded as “stars”, likewise early “names” like Alan Wheatley. I rate him, the ones you mention, others e.g. Gary Watson, Jeremy Young, Fiona Walker higher than big name “Stars”!
What’s the betting Peter Glaze gets a mention, and the other crowdpleasers from Light Entertainment! MERVYN

I’m just waiting for the second special on toys and action figures. Isn’t it supposed to come out in August?

Hopefully they will include actors who were famous then but mean little to non-fans now. Didn’t Kevin Stoney win some award for his performance in Daleks’ Master Plan? Famous in the ’60s, but not any more…

Kevin Stoney didn’t win an award, but Mavic Chen was named “Villain of the year” by one of the national newspapers.

Would be nice if there was a couple of pages on the celebrity cameos they’ve had as well. The news readers, blue Peter presenters, Sharon Osborne, Anne widdecombe (shudder), Brian cox, McFly, Anne Robinson, davina McCall, Alan sugar, Paul o Grady, Richard Dawkins, Patrick Moore etc. etc.

Feels like they’re straining a bit for content with some of these now >< they don't HAVE to put out three specials a year

They have a subscription with the three specials included. People have paid for them, they have to put them out.

I don’t buy every ‘special’ magazine unless it interests me, and this particular issue doesn’t. I don’t even buy every ‘regular’ magazine, unless I find enough of the features interesting. Plus with the cost of living I’m definitely being more careful what Doctor Who merchandise I actually want more than others.

100 actors who stole the show – hopefully for the right reasons!. Iconic performances i’m Thinking Gabriel Woolf as Sutekh, Jago and Litefoot that kind of thing rather than actors who have fluffed their lines. Sounds an excellent read though so I have preordered and looking forward to getting it.

Oh I think we can safely bet on Graham Crowden (Horns of Nimon) here.. 😉

Steven Berkoff certainly tried to steal the show.

I thought Steven Berkoffs performance was quite subdued and restrained compared to some of his other wildly over the top performances.

Ergon, that’s because Berkoff’s performance was so unusable that they had to edit it all out and change the ending. They changed to make him a hologram, or whatever he was, and gave him minimal interaction with the other actors. I would really like to see some sort of version of the original ending!
