October 13th, 2022 - 10:04amStrewth! Is that how much DWM is these days?! Is it still monthly? That’s outrageous.
And also a spectacularly dull cover to promote any upcoming episodes. Looks like a spelunking magazine.

October 13th, 2022 - 11:58amAgree about the cover. Had they been able to use the image on the poster that would have been a bigger seller i’d think. (The Daleks, Master etc, not the other side)

October 13th, 2022 - 3:49pmThe cover on the actual magazine is Yaz and the Doctor with just the logo. Must be same as subscribers.
I only bought it for the diorama but now I’ve read the magazine I’ve sold rest on eBay.
I’m intrigued by the mention of next months magazine featuring ‘something’special’ DWM has never done before for start of the new era.

October 13th, 2022 - 8:42pmThe world is getting expensive. If they cut back the magazine size by say a 1/4 and went to more black and white pages or cut out the comic completely in order to keep costs down they would be criticised for that too. I’ve said it before (on this excellent site) that it really does pay to be a subscriber (even if you only tend to buy roughly 2/3rds of the issues).
The 60th anniversary could be an expensive time to be a fan as I suspect unfortunately that things won’t be getting any cheaper in the interim.

October 15th, 2022 - 12:31pm@daz – Yes, the actual cover is more generic than the space suit one. When you think of the covers the magazine has put out themselves recently with those gorgeous artworks (Daleks, Abominable Snowmen etc) then the shows production office sends them two images that could have been used at any time during the 13th Doctor’s tenure. It’s a poor show by them really.
Look forward to the next issue to see what ‘something special’ is.

November 7th, 2022 - 4:23pmThe magazine is not cheap, but Digital Edition is very good. Also it’s 9,99 per issue, but if you go and buy year subscription on Pocketmags then it’s 65% off and you get issue for 3,45 GBP.
I know its not physical copy, but you can get it immediatly and it’s much much cheaper.

October 13th, 2022 - 12:10amI wouldn’t be paying £10.99 for this as a non-subscriber. Way too expensive. Especially seeing as the TARDIS diorama and poster will go in the paper bin.

October 13th, 2022 - 1:37pmThe diorama would get you a fair chunk of money back via ebay if you waited a few weeks. There were times when people were even getting good money for empty B&M boxes with a backdrop picture! Mad…

October 14th, 2022 - 10:57amPeople are basically being charged extra for bits of cardboard that no-one really asked for. It’s taking the Mick when u get no choice due to subscribing. I wouldn’t pay this if I hadn’t subscribed. It’s just a gimmick.

October 14th, 2022 - 12:07pmBut you’ve subscribed so you’ve saved money? The extra cost has only hit those who dip in and out of DWM.
This is the fourth diorama now so it has proved popular. And no doubt we’ll get the others (3rd, 8th, 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th).
Personally, once RTD is back I might resubscribe as he’ll no doubt have far more input into the magazine like the ‘old’ days which will make it worth the standard price again.
I was surprised that the subscription cost for 6 issues is now the same as what it once was for 12 plus the specials. But everything is more expensive now.

October 12th, 2022 - 1:31pmHow many Production Notes has Chris wrote? RTD and Moffat seemed to write a column every issue.
