November 23rd, 2016 - 1:10pmI stopped buying them while the show has been off the air, chiefly because with little or no news of importance to relate I didn’t see the point and saving the money helps, plus most articles I’ve read in some form or another since first discovering it in 1981. However, now after the long wait I’ll resume with Christmas issue.

November 17th, 2016 - 9:55pmWhen is the Christmas issue out?

November 18th, 2016 - 12:23amBy my calculating, 14th December.

November 17th, 2016 - 8:08pmI’ve now read most of the main features, well…those covering the Troughton era. It’s been a fantastic issue covering my favourite Doctor. The team of 2nd Doctor, Jamie and Victoria is my favourite. The ‘Fury from the Deep’ review was brilliant, and it’s a great shame it only exists on audio. But the story is from super season 5, a series beautifully bookended by ‘The Evil of the Daleks’ and it’s repeat.

November 17th, 2016 - 7:03pmI got this yesterday, a great issue, but I can’t help but notice that ever since the price increase, there are more copies left on my newsagents’ shelves…

November 17th, 2016 - 5:17pmIs there a special reason its £5.99 for three weeks in a row? Extra pages etc?

November 17th, 2016 - 5:36pmThe price has been raised to £5.99. It explains it in the letter from the editor section of the magazine.

November 17th, 2016 - 5:47pm“Economic factors beyond our control” according to the letter from the editor. Probably to do with the fact that the £ has crashed. Unfortunate but one would hope it will get better eventually, and DWM will be able to return to its previous pricing.

November 17th, 2016 - 6:08pmIt’s well worth every penny. It’s glossy, informative, covers the classic and newer series in equal measure, has great comic strips, wonderful reviews and the brilliant Time Team. £5.99 is great value for money. It’s the only magazine I buy.

November 17th, 2016 - 7:57pmThat is very annoying, i might not be able to get it any more because of it raising the price again

November 18th, 2016 - 12:41amIm in the U.S. and pay like $16.00-19.00 dollars on these mags. £6…ha!
TARDISGuy
November 18th, 2016 - 7:35amI know right. In Aus, most places sell them at $15-$20 an issue. I’d pay 6 pounds per issue in a heartbeat.

November 18th, 2016 - 9:50amI know 15-16 dollars for a mag is very high, but still £6 for a mag is still high in the UK. Im not sure if im going to keep buying them 🙂

November 18th, 2016 - 10:54amI also get Classic Rock which is a similar price but comes with a cd. The difference with DWM is the lack of ads compared to every other magazine and it’s quite niche in that it covers only one tv series, yet outsells the more wide ranging content wise titles like SFX frequently.

November 17th, 2016 - 8:51amThis looks like a great issue. Hoping to pick this up today. Troughton was superb as the second Doctor. ‘The Power of the Daleks’ feature should be interesting too.

November 17th, 2016 - 3:26pmJust been reading some of the magazine. Great feature on the animation for ‘Power of the Daleks’. Looking forward to reading the article on Patrick Troughton. Plus a review of the missing classic ‘Fury from the Deep’. Which, if you were to animate another completely missing story, would be the one to do next.
