September 17th, 2013 - 11:56amThis is the same company that did the Marvel comics figurine set that started a few years ago. That was originally planned at 80 issues, but due to strong subscription numbers eventually almost doubled to 150! Although it has to be said there was a certain amount of ‘padding’ with very minor characters, especially towards the end of the run.
Anonymous
September 17th, 2013 - 11:59amThe Marvel figurines made it to 200 issues actually, with a further 35 figurines released over 31 special issues.
There were plans to go even further but Marvel pulled the plug on them.
Pete da Cald
September 16th, 2013 - 11:29pmK9 is a must – if they do him with Sarah Jane or Leela or Romana I/II that old be fine, heck, do him with an alt 4th Doctor – that’d be cool too but we gotta have K9!
And yes, River is also a must! I think a Sil with bald Peri would be awesome as well, but as long as we get K9 and River, I’m good with the Else! 🙂
Anonymous
September 17th, 2013 - 11:12amAlts are almost certainly not going to happen.
They were looking at doing Sarah Jane Smith and K-9 together as a special issue, but we’ll need to see if this still happens.
HornsOfAzal
September 17th, 2013 - 11:37amThey’ve already said they’re not doing the companions to make more room for aliens/monsters…..
Anonymous
September 17th, 2013 - 11:56amNo, they have said they have said they have decided against including them in the figures they have planned as there as so many of them they wouldn’t be able to release enough monsters (although that didn’t stop them with Vastra).
That doesn’t rule out companions being included further down the line, or them being included in special issues (which provide them with extra release slots to play around with).
Pug Dalek
September 16th, 2013 - 11:01pmWow looks good and evil 😈

September 16th, 2013 - 8:49pmThere selling the figures BEFORE there release. I think its better to get it the normal way.
Anonymous
September 16th, 2013 - 8:50pmI wouldn’t really say that’s a problem. They also sell them after the next one has come out which most shops won’t so you’ve got a lot longer than 2 weeks to pick them all up.
Sugardoc5
September 16th, 2013 - 8:38pmHey bonobo or anyone when should my magazines come I subscribed about 2-3 weeks ago so when will I get issue 2 and 3 as people are saying they already have theirs

September 16th, 2013 - 8:17pmso if the 12th doctor is out by august maybey then we will get a series around then
Anonymous
September 16th, 2013 - 8:24pmYou’ve lost a week between issues 58 and 59.
Also, this isn’t the final line-up but what they are currently planning to release. If there’s anything you don’t like you can try complaining and see if they change their minds.
Moodbeam
September 16th, 2013 - 8:28pmI noticed that and was just about to say the same thing! Only makes sense that we would get the 12th Doctor figure when the new series has started to air! 😀
Also, is this list official? I can’t find it anywhere on the official FB page. :l
Anonymous
September 16th, 2013 - 8:31pmYes. This is official, but it is not fixed.
Moodbeam
September 16th, 2013 - 8:37pmWe get Madam Vastra but no River? 🙁 I wonder why they haven’t released information on the other 20. Perhaps they’re debating on what to include based on the opinion survey they’ve had up? Hopefully some companions and some CLASSIC era monsters. I notice the list is VERY Tennant heavy. Do we really need a ‘heavenly host’ from Voyage of the Damned? (Plus they’re doing Max Capricorn which makes it worse) How about one of The Flood instead? I REALLY hope it’s extended beyond 80 issues (a thought occurs, maybe those 20 are spare for Capaldi’s era).
Anonymous
September 16th, 2013 - 8:44pmI think it will be because she’s not human so they can get away with her, even though she is a companion of sorts.
If push came to shove they could always stick some Capaldi monsters in here and there as the schedule isn’t fixed (or they could make Vastra match his era as we know she’s coming back next year).
Doctor Stu
September 16th, 2013 - 10:11pmWe need a rose, Sarah Jane and Handbot. I MUST HAVE MY HANDBOT!!!!!!
Also swap max Capricorn for slitheen. And add K9, Flood creature, white supreme Dalek, auton, riversong, Martha, mickey with gun, Jo grant, headless monk and Jenny (Doctors Daughter and Jenny Flint)
Matty
September 17th, 2013 - 7:41amWhat about the doctors 6&8
dalek 105
September 17th, 2013 - 7:58ammabye they will make 9 capaldi monsters and then have some more classics
DoctorWho2013
September 17th, 2013 - 8:30amThe first 60 figures list looks good, although more classic series monsters and villains please 😉 Also bring on those Doctor costume variant figs too!
Anonymous
September 17th, 2013 - 9:22amIn response to Doctor Stu above, the Slitheen has been listed as a potential special issue which would suggest it is too big for the regular range (much like the TARDIS is).
HornsOfAzal
September 17th, 2013 - 11:40amNot very impressed with that schedule and I must be slipping cos I didnt even know what a kahler-mas is not suprising second rate little episode…..
HornsOfAzal
September 17th, 2013 - 11:42amIn response to dr stu I say no thanks…I say get rid of all those recent aliens and substitute stuff from the first and second Doctor eras……
HornsOfAzal
September 17th, 2013 - 11:43amI see myself cancelling my subscription after I receive the emperor…… then picking up the occasional classic monsters…..
HornsOfAzal
September 17th, 2013 - 11:46amIf that list is accurate there are 34 of the first 60 Im interested in……
Anonymous
September 17th, 2013 - 12:07pmThe list is how it currently stands, things may change but the first 20 or so are pretty much fixed.
HornsOfAzal
September 17th, 2013 - 12:19pmConsidering its supposed to be a 50th anniversary collection theres too much focus on the new era rather than 26 years classic Id have said produce the figues in the order of one from each doctors era 1st 2nd 3rd so on….Its a bit naff that some of the Doctors aren’t even included in the first 60….. Tough if you like the 6th Doctor…..
HornsOfAzal
September 17th, 2013 - 12:21pmActually as far as Im concerned this list as been more of a downer on this set… I was rather looking forward to this collection till i saw this….
Anonymous
September 17th, 2013 - 12:32pmIf we were to look at a set completely fairly balanced based off the number of stories each Doctor had the first six are all lacking and then Doctors 7 and 9-11 are all over.
Admittedly the Sixth Doctor’s era is only one down and McCoy’s is only one up but the rest is pretty badly off.
HornsOfAzal
September 17th, 2013 - 12:56pmThey need to get the Doctors prioritised… over 2 years before the sixth is brought out and then I bet the eighth will be brought out before him…if you were hoping to complete a set of the Doctors in a hurry you’ve got a long wait…..
HornsOfAzal
September 17th, 2013 - 1:05pmThe fact that two figures from the voyage of the damned story are coming out is a complete joke especially when there not a sign of one of the many delegates from the Masterplan or Peladon stories… and if Max Capricorn is coming out theres no excuse that other figures might be too big or too bulky considering he was encased in a huge mobile tank…..
Anonymous
September 17th, 2013 - 1:31pm2 years!, that’s a bit slow
Anonymous
September 17th, 2013 - 1:37pmBut how big is it really? Without knowing the actual scale we have no way of knowing how big the figure really is. I seriously doubt he’s as large as the TARDIS, K-1 or a Slitheen (which have all been suggested for specials).
However, choosing him seems to show up some serious problems in focusing in on one Doctor. Maybe have him somewhere down the line if they get enough time, but he’s hardly deserving of a place in the first 50.
HornsOfAzal.
September 17th, 2013 - 1:38pmIf the list is accurate – and Ive posted you a question asking to find out whether it is or not for your questions list I cant believe that you’d not agree that the doctors should at least be the priority figures in the set ??
If the list is accurate as a customer I also think I have a right to air my opinion…and withdraw my custom if Im disatisfied to…
Anonymous
September 17th, 2013 - 2:46pmThe list is official and is accurate based on their current plans. However, as of the moment only the first 23 are absolutely set and beyond that things may change.
There are also another twenty beyond these issues. You’ll probably find they are spreading out the Doctors to ensure people stick with their collection because if all the big figures are released straight away then why would people stick with it?
Also, you are entitled to pull out at any time and to complain if you wish (plenty have).
Steampunk Doctor
September 17th, 2013 - 6:13pmWho wants a Kahler-Mas ?
Anonymous
December 5th, 2013 - 5:12pmThe Slitheen will probably come sometime after issue 60, since it’s definitely been confirmed. Is that Gold Dalek the one from Day of the Daleks? Also, Kahler Mas? Don’t they mean Kahler Tek? “Non-Doctor” should be called “War Doctor”, and there needs to be figurines of the Companions, and I mean ALL of them. I wonder what other special issues are gonna come out. Maybe the Pandorica? I’d like them to make a Dotd Zygon.

September 16th, 2013 - 6:17pmThis is supposted to go on up to 18th Augest 2016!
Anonymous
September 16th, 2013 - 6:27pmDon’t know where you got that from. If it lasts 80 issues then it will reach the 8th September 2016, if the rumours of 70 issues (with 10 specials) are true then it goes to 21st April 2016.
Either way extensions are almost certainly possible.

September 16th, 2013 - 6:43pmOh really where did you read this because I read from a Facebook page
Anonymous
September 16th, 2013 - 6:43pmIt’s not the Fourth Doctor but I know exactly where you got that assumption from.
On the website if you go beyond the first ten it gives you a list of figures that are “coming soon”. In their previous ranges they would say “The next 5 figures are…” however in this case they have simply listed a selection of figures that will come out in future not the next 7 figures.
Just because he’s listed second doesn’t mean he is coming out after Rassilon (who is issue 11 by pure coincidence). The Fourth Doctor is currently lined up for issue 17.

September 16th, 2013 - 4:33pmi picked up Davros yesterday because he goes well with the 3.75″ Dalek figures. I will get a few more of these figurines but not all of them as they are incredibly expensive. I’ll only get the ones i like.

September 16th, 2013 - 4:05pmI have faith in the paintwork of the monsters as got issues 2 and 3… just not when it comes to the humans/timelords.
My 11th doc was terrible. But luckily could go out and buy a better one through searching the shops.
Did anyone complain about quality control of the 11th doc? And did they reply??
The doc
September 16th, 2013 - 4:27pmIt’s because the issue was only two pound I was raging too

September 16th, 2013 - 3:28pmLooks good but although it pains me to say it, I think a lot of people are going to have problems in finding one that doesn’t have paint problems.

September 16th, 2013 - 3:54pmi have 4 Davros’s, not a problem amongst them
Trenzalore
September 16th, 2013 - 4:01pmYeah, I haven’t had any problems with painting but it’s just this particular figure because of the bright colours it will be easy to spot a mistake. Of course I could be wrong and this could turn out to be the best figure.

September 16th, 2013 - 2:50pmThis is one of the ones I was looking forward to the most; I’m really glad it’s coming so soon. Hopefully we learn of the next wave in it’s entirety soon.

September 16th, 2013 - 4:16pmIf you notice on the site they show the next batch of figurines at the bottom. That’s what I meant by wave. 🙂
Anonymous
September 16th, 2013 - 5:38pmIt’s not really a batch either as that also implies they’ll all come out at the one time.
Back to the information you actually want, issues 11-20 are going to be formally announced sometime this week apparently so we will need to wait and see what happens (might end up getting delayed but we’ll see there’s already a rough list been given out for the first 60 issues but some might change).
Moodbeam
September 16th, 2013 - 8:22pmDo you know where I might be able to see this rough list? I’d love to see what have in store.

September 16th, 2013 - 8:30pmI’ll give you 11-20 as they’ll almost certainly be fixed if the announcement is due:
11. Rassilon
12. Ood
13. Supreme Dalek
14. Cyberman (Nightmare in Silver)
15. Omega
16. Vashta Nerada
17. The Fourth Doctor
18. Judoon

September 16th, 2013 - 2:07pmbooboo, sorry if you answered this before, but do you know if they hold back issues like some publications do, and also if you can get a subscription at any time and receive the lot?
Cheers.
Moid
September 16th, 2013 - 2:08pmAh sorry I just saw the bit about the extra quid for missed issues. Wondering if you can still get the extra daleks if you subscribe late. Just cannot afford to join up right now but I’m a dalek fanatic and must get that Emporer.
Anonymous
September 16th, 2013 - 2:16pmYes you can subscribe at any time and you’ll get everything, although if you go for a premium subscription you need to give them the back payments upfront.
booboo
September 16th, 2013 - 2:37pmnot sure with this one but they have in that past, there comes a point when issues will sell out though, usually you can tell one you go to subscribe you put in the issue you want to start from, if you can start form issue 8 for example it means 1-7 have all gone

September 16th, 2013 - 12:48pmAnother Tenth Doctor figure? Popular or not, does his Doctor really need such a large portion of the figures?

September 16th, 2013 - 4:17pmI saw a list of the first 60 figurines somewhere else (not sure if its 100% official) but its a nice mix of everything. They start with a few NS figures then you get about 4 or 5 classic figures then some from Matt’s era then the same repeated so its nicely evened out. The ones they have planned sound awesome!

September 16th, 2013 - 5:00pmIt’s official, but not fixed. It’s a mix of everything alright, but certainly isn’t evened out. There’s a very heavy bias towards the new series, and some Doctors really suffer for it (Tom Baker should have more than 4 figures, when you’ve got Tennant sitting at 20 out of 60).
I hope they have a look at it in future, because some of the other Doctors really could do with some more figures.

September 16th, 2013 - 5:35pmIndeed. Rather interesting actually, if we take the ratio of figures to stories (which works out at 1:4) the first five Doctors don’t have enough figures and Doctors 9-11 all have too many.
However, if we look right between these two extremes, 6 and 7 are absolutely perfect for the ratio if you clump them together. Rather odd but it works.

September 16th, 2013 - 6:19pmThat’s good for me since I love McCoys Doctor
Cyber lords
September 16th, 2013 - 6:49pmThe collection should really have more classics than new, because the classics have become icons rather than the new series monsters who are normally just random or stupid( on the very rare occasion though interesting). For me they should add a Krynoid at least

September 16th, 2013 - 6:55pmA Krynoid will probably be too big for the regular range which will work out in its favour as it can be released as a special.
