Just wish they would Deliver the damn things in time, money went out my Account 25th August as of today 17 still not received this and issue 81 or the last special Dalek. the figures (when they arrive) are for the most part amazing. I keep hearing rumours that the number of figures has been increased again to 130, hope so as there are still Characters that deserve being part of the collection.

And Id rather have a figure of Cushing as the Doctor than John Simm as the Master any day !

Cushing never played the Doctor. He was never in the show. He played Dr Who in something that has nothing to do with the show.

Very true didn’t like John simm as the master to comical should kept Derek Jacobi as the master

  • AngryDrashig

    July 6th, 2016 - 7:51pm

I thought Roger Delgado’s Master would have been the preferred choice…. I think they also need the Valeyard ( set of Doctors isnt complete till he’s there) and they ought to try and clear the rights to get a Peter Cushing Doctor as well…

I love the Peter Cushing movies but they’re not cannon with the TV series at all so it would make no sense to have him as a figure. The only thing that is cannon are the blue movie daleks that featured in “the chase” which we are luckily getting a figurine of.

      July 7th, 2016 - 2:11pm

The series is supposed to be representetive of 50 years of dr who…the cushing films are the only cinema release in that 50 years and a big part of who history…

They can’t release things they don’t have permission to, it’s as simple as that. They’ve done their best by including the “Chase” Dalek, which gives some sort of acknowledgment.

Besides, look how much people get annoyed whenever a minor modern character gets added, imagine adding something that wasn’t even in the show.

      July 7th, 2016 - 4:43pm

does anyone actually own the rights to the movies (toy wise) now?

I assume siteen12 has lapsed long ago

I assume studio canal are the licensors

    • AngryDrashig

      July 7th, 2016 - 6:48pm

So the idea is that they get off their backsides and try and get permission….

    • Anonymous

      July 7th, 2016 - 7:59pm

Their licensing costs are apparently very high. Steven Moffat wanted to make a comment in The Day of the Doctor to explain the movies in-universe, but was told it would end up being the most expensive bit of the episode.

I think the plan was to have the movie posters in the black archive, but the budget couldn’t stretch to it.
