Doctor Who Dalek The Astounding Untold History

Available to order in the UK from www.amazon.co.uk

Available to order in the USA from www.amazon.com #ad

Dalek is the never-before-told history of the Doctor’s most dangerous enemies, the famous ‘Outer Space Robot People’ of the planet Skaro – from their genesis in the thousand-year conflict between Thals and Kaleds, to their survival of the Time War and (as foreseen by the Time Lords) their conquest of the universe.

Along the way, the authors also reveal all-new stories about these legendary creatures – terrifying near-mythical adventures, startling visual recreations of never-before-seen conflicts, and more. Each of them helps shed new light on what has become the most feared alien race in the universe.

With full-colour illustrations, concept art, cutaways, diagrams, comic strips and more, Dalek is a dramatic retelling of the ascent of the ‘supreme race’, and the story of the mysteries that lurk in unexplored corners of the universe. It is the ultimate celebration of all things Dalek.

According to co author Cavan Scott’s blog, The book contains an exhaustive fictional history of the daleks, drawing from every source. From comics, audio adventures, the TV episodes and books.
As well as bonus comic strips, short stories and factual features pertaining to the series itself.
In short, an epic tome that promises to be everything one could wish for a book about the daleks.

I’m guessing the cover, with the dalek “bumps”, will be of the “squishy ” kind. In keeping with previous releases.

Is this purely just fiction or will have some factual making of history.

I’m hoping this is like the large “Impossible Worlds” and “The Vault” books. Got both of them and they are very cool indeed, a version of them solely based on Daleks sounds great!

I hope it’s like the untold history of the whoniverse. I quite liked it. Saying that, the untold history of the universe did have a full chapter on the Daleks

    £36?

That is too expensive for a hardback book

The Whoniverse dropped as low as £11 on Amazon just after Christmas.

      £36 is only it’s RRP.

I recall as far back as 1989, the team behind the fanzine,”The Frame” intended to bring out a book solely dedicated to the Daleks. Only for it to be vetoed by Roger Hancock’s lot.
Since then we did get “The Dalek Handbook”. But this sounds like it could be an epic read and well worth waiting for.

A book based solely on the universe’s Supreme creatures? This might be worth looking into.

If this is anything like The Whoniverse it will be amazing. I’ve wanted a hardback based purely on the Daleks since, well, forever!
