Available to order from www.forbiddenplanet.com and www.thewhoshop.com
The latest release in the acclaimed Doctor Who: Chronicles series of bookazines focuses on 2007.
This lavish 116-page publication from the makers of Doctor Who Magazine looks back at the stories, people, events and news in this remarkable year – a time when David Tennant was at the peak of his powers as the Doctor and the series was the most watched show on television. Memorable episodes from 2007 included Blink, Human Nature and The Sound of Drums.
The bookazine also includes articles on Totally Doctor Who, Doctor Who Confidential, the start of The Sarah Jane Adventures, merchandising and much more.

January 6th, 2022 - 12:04pmMy guess was it was going to be 1993 next as a lot of Who related anniversary events took place. Either that or 2005.

January 7th, 2022 - 4:18pmDon’t think I ever asked before Tim, but what era do you like best, Classic or Nu Who or don’t you have any favourites?
TimelordTim
January 7th, 2022 - 4:57pmHi Coleman, it’s hard to choose. I wasn’t around to see the classic run originally, so for me, Doctor Who began with Chris in 2005 and then I went back to watch the classic run.
I had seen a few classics, mainly 5th but some 7th as well (my mum’s favourites), but it wasn’t until about 4 years ago when I watched them all from 3rd era to the Movie. It was only during the first lockdown when I went back to watch all the available 1st and 2nd as well, and am very glad I finally did.
But overall, I’d say my favourites are the 3rd from classics and 11th (just pipping 10th, despite the second half of series 3 being about my favourite run of episodes) from modern.
But of course there are great moments throughout for every Doctor, companion and era.
A special mention to the Big Finish run on the 8th as well, from Charley, through Lucie, to Dark Eyes actually makes 8th pushing for favourite as well, although what “era” that would class as I’m not sure.
What’s your favourite Coleman?
TimelordTim
January 7th, 2022 - 5:02pmNo favourite between Classic and Nu Who overall though, I see them as too different (and yet the same!) to truly compare if that makes any sense. I’m just glad there is such a rich history, there’s always a Doctor Who to watch/re-watch and enjoy.
Coleman
January 7th, 2022 - 5:35pmYeah same here Tim, I’d find it very difficult to choose.
Although I was brought up on the Classics and have particular favourite Doctors from that era of Jon and Tom I do like alot of Nu Who aswell. So I wouldn’t like to choose.

January 5th, 2022 - 8:02pmi thought david tennant was brilliant as the doctor so looking forward to reading this magazine and john simm was great as the master
…
January 5th, 2022 - 8:11pmDidn’t mind Tennant as the doctor, although he was a bit gurney for me, but I really didn’t like simm’s take on the master.

January 5th, 2022 - 8:37pmI have mixed feelings on the tenth doctor, but have liked him more in recent years, because, well, compared to what we have now….plus series 3 was a great season overall
…
January 5th, 2022 - 10:34pmLove Jodie but never did take to Tennant

January 6th, 2022 - 1:09amI enjoyed most of series 3 apart from the finale but my brother was watching all of new who again a few years back and after two episodes of three he skipped straight to 4. I think 4 was my favourite of tennants series

January 6th, 2022 - 11:43amActually I have to admit I wasn’t keen on the Tennant human nature story either. I much preferred the original McCoy novel to the TV version.
