Well I have finally ordered my copy from Panini. I went around WHSmiths in Leeds, Bradford and Halifax, none had copy. So I decided to order direct. What’s put me off before is having to register.

2005, I hope. To coincide with 20 years since the revival.

I suppose it will depend on whether there is only one issue in the series published this year – like last year – or more than one – as 2021-23.

If the next issue is 2026, I think 1996 is likely since next year is the 30th anniversary of The Movie.

If there is another issue this year then it could be 2005 to tie-in with the 20th anniversary of new series.

i think one or two a year is enough so there is variety in other specials but if there is another one this year i hope it s 1980 81 apart from 1970 its my favourite year of WHO

Okay all sorted now. The electronic version released now – five days after the hard copy, it seems similar to Obverse books electronic editions are online well after the physical release date.

The physical release date is very theoretical WHS still don’t have it even today.
FP had loads of copies last Saturday but were not allowed to sell it to me as Head Office messed up the barcode. Obviously they can’t use the publishers barcode like every normal shop.
Four huge supermarkets that used to sell it near me now don’t.
It gets very frustrating trying to get a copy these days. Probably 40 miles travelled so far and still no joy. I wish it was part of the mostly subscription I get, which I only did not to save money, but guarantee a copy.

I ordered from Panini and received my copy the day after publication.

Today I noticed a copy on the shelves in Tesco, Inverurie. It looked to be the last; so it appears that they may have had it since Thursday last week or soon thereafter.

It is out in the wild, even in NE Scotland.

Very glad to see the next in this range. I need to catch up on my reading of these but it’s a great collection and I’ll be looking out for this in stores.

If you order online via the Panini website, be careful that your post code is correct before the order is submitted. Whilst attempting to place my online order I kept receiving error messages to the effect that the postcode was in an invalid format and after what I thought was a manual override to correct, the postcode was still wrong in my subsequent confirmation email.

From speaking to someone in customer services (their online customer service form does not seem to be responded to in a timely manner) she suggested copy and pasting your postcode as part of making the order.

Agreed. I hope for 1986 next, and then 1993. Out of the entire 90’s, 93 actually felt like the last gasp of the classic era. Obvs no new series but it was quite a big 30th celebration and Dimensions in Time which despite the snobs I really like. Think of it as set in the Land of Fiction and there you go! Could have been canon but Eastenders has been referenced a lot in the new series.

Looking forward to this – covering four of the very best serials. It will be an excellent companion to the forthcoming Season 7 Collection release.

WhoIsWhere, I’d suggest ordering it online direct from Panini. They always send them out in sturdy cardboard packaging so I’ve always found they arrive in good condition.

As it isnt a magazine it depends when each WHS store gets there normal delivery (books/stationery) as thats what it comes into store with. Also depends on stores previous sales or the title and similar titles as to the qty they will receive.
Annoying as we never knew what titles were coming and if they were at all. (previous employee experience)

Whs staff are having a hard time atm as to not knowing whats happen with the sale of the high street side of the company and sone stores closing due to store leases running out. So give them a break if anyone visits their local branch.
