Doctor Who: Book 5: Monstrous Missions
Exciting action-packed new original fiction for younger Doctor Who fans, starring the Eleventh Doctor with his companions Amy Pond and Rory Williams. Double-fronted books each contain two fast-paced, fun-filled adventures!
The Doctor and his friends join a group of explorers on a Victorian tramp steamer in Terrible Lizards. The explorers are searching for the Fountain of Youth, but neither they or the treasure they seek are quite what they seem!
A distress signal calls the TARDIS to the Black Horizon, a spaceship that is being attacked by scavengers. But the scavengers aren’t the only thing the Doctor needs to worry about, there’s something out there creating a Web in Space!
Due for release on 02 February 2012.
Bow tie of Doom (Mood fit woo eb)
February 7th, 2012 - 3:37pmThis book was ok! The first story, Terrible Lizards, was boring! From it’s silly uses of naming the chapters after what a character says in that chapter to the overuse of references which mostly cover 2010 onwards and, if anything, it seems like a copy of The Curse Of The Black Spot.
The second story, Horror Of The Space Snakes, whilst not brilliant, is a breath of fresh air since I got my username, Bow tie of Doom, from it. Plus, if you want to hear (in your head) The Eleventh Doctor say Torchwood then this is definitely the story for you.
The Wooden Prince (Previously Admiral Icktheus)
January 23rd, 2012 - 9:56pmbooboo I found this today in whsmith and got it! My local smiths always seem to get these sorts of books in early. Is this normal? It’s just I’ve noticed it happen a lot since the 2in1 books were first released in early 2011.
McGann is The Doctor.
November 1st, 2011 - 11:50pmThese new stories/books seem quite cool, the Doctor has a very distinguishable/recognisable silouette thanks to his hair style. 😀
And good to see one of them is written by Gary Russel, just goes to show this is a Series of novels/story books that employs serious, high standard writing! ❗ 🙂
