Audio issues or not? I’ve got it and see no signs of anything wrong. Mind you there are such fussy people out there.

I don’t know if you’ve heard of the store CeX. It does second hand DVDs but to add a new DVD to the search system online, you need the barcode number. I wanted to get Series 7 Limited Edition DVD Box set BBC shop exclusive and the 50th Collector’s Edition through that store (as it’s generally A LOT cheaper) but they haven’t got them online and so need a barcode. 🙂

Yes, thanks Darren. That’s a great help. On a separate note, has anyone got the series 7 Limited Edition Box Set DVD or have any idea what the barcode number is as I have literally tried everything. Unboxing videos, pictures, features lists, this website obviously as well as emails and youtube comments… Thanks

Hi James the barcode for the season 7 DVD set that was exclusive to the BBC shop is 5051561038785.
This is still available from the BBC shop if you’re interested

    • James

      September 12th, 2014 - 9:09pm

Thanks for that! Do you have the DVD because I would be VERY interested to know how on earth you would find that out without having the DVD as I searched for ages and couldn’t find it. As for the BBC shop DVD, I don’t plan on spending so much on it and would prefer to get it cheaper from Cash Exchange (CeX)
Thanks again for that, it was a great help.

    • skaroman

      September 13th, 2014 - 7:40am

I’ve done a lot of dealings with CEX before and after years of experience, I doubt that you would find series 7 LE there unless you are very very lucky.
Besides, at BBC shop, it’s worth it. There’s even a 10% off code if that helps. This month’s code is RP0914

    • Cymon Hodson

      September 13th, 2014 - 2:33pm

      Hi James,
Yes I do have the DVD set. Like skaroman said, I think you would be lucky to get this at CEX and the pack would probably be damaged. This is not even on ebay at the moment, so the BBC shop is your best bet.

    • James

      September 13th, 2014 - 4:53pm

Ok, thanks both of you for your advice. You’re probably right. Although, they did have series 2 limited edition cybermen head box set on cex.com. Either way, it might eventually make it to stock and then at least I’m helping someone else get the box set. I might just use the 10% off code (thanks for that) and get it from BBC shop. Thanks again for your advice 🙂

    • merchandise FAN

Deleted Scene of TTOTD wasn’t originally included.

    • GallifreyanKnight

      September 12th, 2014 - 8:54pm

It says deleted scenes, because it also includes the deleted scenes from “An Adventure In Space & Time”.

It would’ve been nice if they had included the deleted scene from “The Day Of The Doctor” aswell, but seeing as how the modern houses in the background weren’t digitally removed, then I can see why it was not included.

I was pleasantly surprised today when I found my copy from Amazon was sitting at home waiting for me. Last time I pre-ordered something from them (Series 7 Soundtrack), it took about 5 days to reach me after the release date!

I was a little disappointed when I first saw the outside, however this is still an excellent set. I really like the detail and artwork, plus all the special features look amazing! 😀

Got the region 4 standard version sent to me this morning, very happy with it. I think it’s #6201. Two questions I have: 1. Is anyone planning to try and watch everything in order of broadcast? 2. I don’t have any box sets so I’m just wondering is the format and style such as the backs of the covers similar to the box sets from the last few seasons?

And, if this was supposed to be a box set collecting together all the anniversary stuff why is there still stuff missing? The Culture Show special ‘You, Me & Dr Who’ was missing as was the various Blue Peter specials. Bit dissapointing really!

I bought it for my DVD collection and the special features, plus I liked the look of the box! I know a lot of the special features can be watched online but now you can watch then on your TV. It’s more special than the single DVD, and you could even call this the 50th year box set, as it has all the episodes building up and after the special, as they were all linked

here it is, do you have star of decay you could do the same for me with.

Anyone who watched Earthshock on its original transmission cannot fail to remember the huge impact it had at the time. The surprise re-appearance in the series of the Cybermen, after seven years away from our screens, was arguably Doctor Who’s last well-kept secret, and the sheer pace of Eric Sawards script and Peter Grimwade’s direction make for gripping viewing. The sleek newly-designed Cybermen conveyed both power and menace, and the story managed to recapture the

base-under-siege tension that had been a feature of some of the finest stories in the programme’s past. At the same time, the show was trying to find a new direction with Peter Davison as the fifth Doctor, after seven years with Tom Baker in the title role. No more would the Doctor be an all-knowing superhero, and the final scenes of Earthshock shattered once and for all the cosy air of invulnerability that had pervaded Doctor Who. The Doctor was fallible, and fail he occassionally does…

After initially getting the hump cos the 3D was not included I have a solution. I am going to use a blu ray plastic insert and make one of the cases a double disc case. Then I’ll put in the original 3D disc and slip the original sleeve as a reversable option.
