May 30th, 2014 - 3:23pmThat’s a shame. I got a message from worldwide last week saying they are having trouble clearing the rights for the last item (probably 5’ish Dr’s) but that they will reveal details about it by the end of the month/Beginning of June.

The Day Of The Doctor
The Time Of The Doctor
And somewhere on the dvd it should say somthing like His Name, His Day, His Time
(just an idea)

March 10th, 2014 - 11:20pmI agree. I think there should have been a 50th Anniversary year boxset with all of the above in it plus Time of The Doctor just cuz it being a stand alone dvd is annoying lol

February 23rd, 2014 - 9:47pmYou should have also included:
The name of the doctor
The day of the doctor
The time of the doctor
With all the special features from the vanilla releases and all the behind the lens of thos3e episodes.
A set like that on Blu-Ray would be 4/5 disks?

February 23rd, 2014 - 9:48pmOh, and He said, she said.

June 2nd, 2014 - 9:05pmThey should also include the pre-movie bits they did concerning using cell-phones in the theatre and watch out for matt smith’s chin when the 3d starts – that played before the theatre showings.
Dynamite Doctor
February 23rd, 2014 - 12:26amI watched the Brian cox thing when it was on and it’s not really doctor who, just Him being a cox and talking about dimensions and that, with the occasional reference to the tardis.
I had hoped it would be more like the trailer, doctor who with science references, not science with doctor who referneces.

February 23rd, 2014 - 8:34pmI don’t think it’s a waste.
drjakeyoung
February 23rd, 2014 - 9:50pmIf it’s released right and it includes everything said in the comments above, it would be a hell of a release!
Explosive Cookie
February 25th, 2014 - 4:12pm“But collectors will want to and it is just a waist” No, I’m pretty sure its a DVD, not a waist…but then again, I’d love my waist to be a 50th anniversary collectors edition 😛
drjakeyoung
February 20th, 2014 - 6:28pmJust got a reply from the DVD enquiry line saying that not even they know the full list of content for this 50th special edition, but they know it is gonna be released around June time.
matparks08
February 19th, 2014 - 9:18pmLovely I’m sure, but I wish we had a release date for underwater Menace – the last classic release feels to be in limbo – hope it’s released soon so we can draw a line under the collection
gordon
February 19th, 2014 - 11:18pmSteve Roberts of the restoration team said at galifrey 1 convention that the animation of menace is currently on hold while planet 55 are busy with more imminent and higher paying projects at the moment but will resume when those projects are done.
callum simmons
February 19th, 2014 - 6:31pmHope this is also on blu ray as DOTD had lousy audio due to being shoved onto one disc with a 3D version. This one will be 2D so in theory should have the corrected audio! Love that we are getting the cinema intros too!
The Other
February 19th, 2014 - 5:30pmIf this includes the original extra’s as well, AND The Fiv(ish) Doctors then I’ll get it as it sounds great!
Personally I would have released this with Name and Time as well; and each would be released the same way as this, with all the extra’s possible to go with them, and they’d all be in one big boxset together
OR
I would have the “Anniversary boxset”: featuring Special Editions of all the Anniversary stories, with all the special features (T3D, T5D, SN) and this release of TDOTD and an Unearthly Child (SE)
Together in special packaging!
drjakeyoung
February 19th, 2014 - 5:52pmadd an adventure in space and time to that would be great!
Professor Peacock
February 19th, 2014 - 12:00pmA bit off subject, but any hints as to when an what the next quick fire competition will be?
booboo
February 19th, 2014 - 12:01pmnot yet
drjakeyoung
February 19th, 2014 - 11:55am“Additional production material”
Is that a commentary with MS and DT?
David Brookes
February 19th, 2014 - 11:53amI know it’s never going to happen but I so want it to have the last third of the Graham Norton show on.
drjakeyoung
February 19th, 2014 - 11:53amIf this is a 50th anniversary collectors edition, then it should include an adventure in space and time!
drwhocollector
February 19th, 2014 - 9:08amcool

February 19th, 2014 - 7:43amBeen waiting for this….seems that although we had a merch drought last year for the 50th, we’re now being well paid for it…

February 19th, 2014 - 6:46amYES THANK GOODNESS WE ARE GETTING THE CINEMA INTROS!!! They were so brilliant! I’m buying it just for those!

February 19th, 2014 - 12:28amOh, BBC ~ I love your sense of humour…
F9
February 19th, 2014 - 12:13amSeriously? Still no Fiveish Doctors Reboot? Ridiculous.
Al
February 19th, 2014 - 1:24amThis is only a list of new material that’s been cleared. It is not a list of all the extras. Reboot would have been cleared earlier so not having it listed here does not mean it’s not included. Personally, it’s the only thing that might make me double dip.
James A
February 19th, 2014 - 12:12amWait wait so this is like a big boxset featuring Day & Time of the Doctor with a whole load of extras?
Doctor Who Crazy Ross
February 18th, 2014 - 11:56pmThis should have: Name, Night, Day, Time, Five-ish, Adventure, as well as extra material.
I Froze Gallifrey
February 18th, 2014 - 11:56pmNah, I’ll just stick with my normal The Day of the Doctor Blu-Ray.
DavidH
February 18th, 2014 - 11:28pmIf this has AAISAT included, I’ll definitely get it
Probably
GallifreyanKnight
February 18th, 2014 - 11:25pmSo, this is going to be a version of “The Day Of The Doctor” with all the trailers and interviews from YouTube?
Is that correct?
Ben Roberts
February 18th, 2014 - 11:16pmI would hope this would be NAME, NIGHT and TIME at least. With The Five ish Doctors reboot.
Jack Judge
February 18th, 2014 - 11:01pmHow much is it?
Ian
February 18th, 2014 - 10:57pmBy the sounds of it a special edition of the Day of the Doctor with added material. Would be good if it had the Five Doctors reboot.
Sam Bentley
February 18th, 2014 - 10:54pmIs this a DVD of all the additional shows we have had this year that haven’t had a DVD release, then? Or a better re-release of Day of the Doctor?
booboo
February 18th, 2014 - 10:55pmbetter re-release of Day of the Doctor
Sam Bentley
February 18th, 2014 - 11:00pmSo… I basically wasted £12.99 on the Day of the Doctor DVD? Great. Well, I can always buy this and sell the original copy. Maybe this one will have new, better DVD artwork.
drjakeyoung
February 18th, 2014 - 10:52pmbooboo, what is this? I don’t understand?
booboo
February 18th, 2014 - 10:56pmDay of the Doctor with all the trimmings
drjakeyoung
February 19th, 2014 - 1:01amAwesome! I knew waiting for a better release would pay off! Does this include all the extra’s from the other release? And is the time of the doctor included? Cause why is the behind the lens for that episode there?
Anonymous
February 19th, 2014 - 7:32amIf this is a special re-release of The Day of the Doctor then how come it includes The Time of the Doctor Behind the Lens feature?
gordon
February 19th, 2014 - 8:27amAt the moment nothing from time of the doctor has been cleared by the bbfc for this set. Think its just an an assumption just now that beyond the lens will be part of this set.
