Available to order in the UK from www.toysrus.co.uk
Available to order in the USA from www.entertainmentearth.com
Available to buy in Australia from www.popcultcha.com
Doctor Who follows the adventures of the last Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey who simply goes by the name “The Doctor”. At the end of the 2013 season, The Doctor regenerated into his new form and new personality, and is portrayed by legendary Scottish actor Peter Capaldi.
This new incarnation, the Twelfth Doctor, is a spiky, brusque, pragmatic, yet funny, passionate and fearless character who travels with his companion, Clara Oswald. His adventures with (and without) Clara in the 2014 season lead him to make tough and ruthless decisions that make him question his character and the value of his travels.
This all new 5 inch tall figure showcases the new look The Doctor takes on after the regeneration, featuring his now signature dark blue Crombie-style coat with red lining, dark blue trousers, a long collared white shirt buttoned to the top with no tie, and brogue boots. He also comes with his trusty sonic screwdriver.

December 5th, 2015 - 9:41amCan I just say, I am so freaking refreshed that they are doing more 5 inch figures now. 12th Doctor, series 8/9 TARDIS, a properly sculpted Dalek Sec, and I bet there will be more to come. Wouldn’t doubt that this is their way of slowly phasing out the 3.75 inch figures and bringing the 5 inch figures back completely. Good on them. Any ideas on new 5 inch figures coming?
booboo
December 5th, 2015 - 10:07amIf the 3.75″ vanish that will effectively take the brand away from the toy market £15 a figure is fine for collectors but not for impulse buys and the pocket money market
Personally I’m not so sure its a good thing that all eggs now appear to be in one basket.

November 29th, 2015 - 4:05pmI recently picked up all 4 variants and this is how I would put them.
Polka dot is the worst because it’s an awful costume to begin with and somehow they made it look worse.
Then the white shirt variant because despite it being the only accurate one it just looks bland without the cardigan or waistcoat.
Then the black shirt cause it looks kinda cool, it’s still a tad to bland.
And my favorite is the purple shirt cause purple is one of my favorite colors and I would actually like to see Capaldi rock a shirt that purple.

November 6th, 2015 - 4:16pmSo happy the five inch figures are making a come back and starting with my favourite Doctor, Mr. Capaldi!

November 6th, 2015 - 4:17pmBut where’s his cardigan?
Cyberman Bill
November 6th, 2015 - 11:32pmYou just now noticed there’s no cardigan?
Lumpy
November 16th, 2015 - 3:38pmTechnically he did appear on screen without the cardigan or waistcoat. At the beginning of The Caretaker when The Doctor & Clara are on the desert planet look closely and you will see that The Doctor is not wearing anything over the white shirt, just his jacket. I don’t know if Character Options saw this and though “Yes make that one, we can just reuse the same mold” or if it is just pure laziness (Both seem pretty likely). But we have seen this before with The Fifth Doctor figure where the skipped the celery on the lapel because he didn’t wear it in Castrovalva.

October 2nd, 2015 - 9:56pmReceived this today so when Missy arrives I have 12 to go with her. I must say its very good in person. And to be honest the fact this cardigan is missing doesn’t bother me have as much a I thought it would! I think the likeness in person is much better, the pictures do it no justice! Just gives me even more hope for Missy!

September 27th, 2015 - 2:59pmSorry to be annoying, but what is the fourth variant? There’s white shirt, polka dot, ROS burgundy shirt and- what’s the last one?

STRAXTHEDESTROYER
September 21st, 2015 - 7:14pmOut of the 2 12th doctor 5 inch figures been released so far , which one is peoples favourites. Im asking as i only have enough money for one of them ???
Greg
September 21st, 2015 - 8:27pmI got the white shirt as I think the polka dots are far too big compared with his actual costume!
I’m going to get the burgundy variant too when it comes out then call it quits as far as the 12th Doctor figures are concerned!
I might get the curator set and Clara, but will probably wait until they are actually released and I can see them in-store!
Doctor Eleven
September 21st, 2015 - 9:00pmI think the black shirt one is the best option, as it’s probably going to be the most accurate
DoctorSong2016
September 21st, 2015 - 9:10pmnah i think the purple shirt will be most accurate, if you look in photos the black isno where near as deep as that and is more of a grey-blue-black
STRAXTHEDESTROYER
September 21st, 2015 - 11:30pmThanks guys , ill think ill hold out then until the toys are us varients get released 🙂
Cyberman Bill
September 22nd, 2015 - 12:00amI have all 3 variants. I think the black shirt one looks the best. After that the white shirt one, then the polka dot. I want to wait for the last one to come out and maybe my list may change.
MrHalloWho
September 22nd, 2015 - 6:54amI’ll get the white, and probably paint a waistcoat on. I’m not a fan of the darker shirts, it doesn’t stand out as much, and I think it’s a bit odd to have a dark coat, dark trousers, dark shoes, dark waistcoat and a dark shirt.
Lumpy
November 16th, 2015 - 3:47pmYou are all wrong, the white shirt is actually 100% accurate. The polka dots are way to large and thus ruin the screen accuracy (but that costume was horrible anyway). The purple shirt is way to vibrant and should have been more of a wine color (That is my favorite look for Capaldi as I like to dress as that one for conventions). But the black shirt is the most inaccurate one of the lot, he never wore that on screen. The closet thing to it was Time Heist in which he was wearing greyish blue shirt, a pity cause I love that episode (although the costume just looks bland). So the white shirt version is actually the most accurate Twelfth Doctor we have.
DoctorSong2016
November 16th, 2015 - 4:30pmWell I meant other than the White shirt figure and I was right it is the most accurate other than the White shirt figure, because it’s not a major outfit so I was ignoring it though it is accurate, everyone has been through this with the White shirt, saying it’s accurate so you’re a bit late
Lumpy
November 22nd, 2015 - 10:35amWell obviously no one on this post knew cause they were all saying the purple shirt or black shirt were the most accurate, yet if they had actually taken a look at the Robot of Sherwood & Time Heist costumes the colors on the figures are way off. The polka dot shirt is a minor costume too but that still counts. None of them are accurate expect the white shirt version, they are all things that were dead simple to get right and CO couldn’t do that so the white shirt version (while I agree they should have put a waistcoat on it) is the only accurate one, there is no runner up. Plus I haven’t actually found anyone state the shirt by it’s self is accurate, with except for votesaxon in his review but that’s it. I have had to point it out to most people.
Eric the Dalek
September 21st, 2015 - 7:09amWell, after that first series 2 episode, there needs to be a guitar playing/ tank riding 12th Doctor figure. My official nomination for the coolest Doctor…EVER.
MrHalloWho
September 22nd, 2015 - 6:54amWhat, it comes with a scale-accurate tank?
Adipose Industries
September 22nd, 2015 - 7:39pmWasn’t it series 9. Not 2??
straxthedestroyer
September 23rd, 2015 - 12:32pmi think ‘eric the dalek’ meant the first 2 episodes of the new series 🙂
cyberdoctor42
September 26th, 2015 - 3:35pmNo i think he meant Mr Capaldi’s second series
Lumpy
November 16th, 2015 - 3:54pmI am getting all four versions of Capaldi and I have another white shirt version (so five in total) and I will not be needing the polka dot version (easily the worst outfit any doctor has worn yes that includes Colin Baker. I prefer explosion in a rainbow factory to my 80 year old grandma) so I will be turning that one into the Magician’s Apprentice version. I will be getting the Crow figure to use his guitar and I will find a 6 inch scale tank to place him on. Also Eric the Dalek, you wouldn’t happen to be a fan of Doctor Freedom would you?
Eric the Dalek
September 20th, 2015 - 6:29pmHas anyone actually switched out the heads on this figure yet? Mine both feel like they aren’t swappable. Don’t want to break them. I picked up the white and black shirted ones here in the States. With a slight repaint, adding shading to the cheek hallows and bringing out the age lines…it’s Capaldi !!!
The Silent Silent
September 20th, 2015 - 7:23pmYeh i have its fine
nothing broke

September 22nd, 2015 - 12:03amI have all 3 of the variants and yes you can switch the heads….. It’s just on a ball joint. Don’t worry. The head will come off!

October 3rd, 2015 - 6:15pmIf you cant get it off leave it on the radiator for 5 minutes on a low setting.

Cyberman Bill
October 8th, 2015 - 5:29pmYou should use a blow dryer instead of a radiator… That way you can direct the heat where you want it.
Lumpy
November 16th, 2015 - 3:50pmI don’t recommend it. You could break the peg. I tried it with The Time of the Doctor headsculpt and the head just looked to small for the body.

September 20th, 2015 - 11:47amI’m so exited to get this. I hope this means character options are making a return to the 5″ figure scale for series 9!
Cyberman Bill
September 20th, 2015 - 7:47pmKeep dreaming. Lol
Doctor12
September 20th, 2015 - 10:03amcan i just ask, is this figure out of scale with the regular 5″ figures? i’ve been looking at reviews and stuff and it looks a lot taller, does it look like it fits in with the others or not?
booboo
September 20th, 2015 - 10:10amits a tad to big but to me doesn’t really look out of place
7thwhovlogs
September 20th, 2015 - 10:34amif you swap the head with the TOTD head, it looks a bit better/smaller
Lumpy
November 16th, 2015 - 3:58pmScale is something CO have never been able to get right so I don’t mind him being slightly to tall. Some people have been going really in depth and have shown images of when The Doctor steps out of the TARDIS to talk to Clara after The Eleventh Doctor’s call in Deep Breath cause you can see where The Doctor’s head should be (which is just above the bottom of the window) but the figure is closer to the top. So it’s not accurate but not off putting to me.

September 19th, 2015 - 9:23pmokay, thanks booboo, do you think we’ll be getting any more 5″ figures from the new series? if so, which ones or which ones would you like to see get made?
booboo
September 19th, 2015 - 9:28pmTo be honest i dont really know what’s happening as things aren’t working out as i had expected with this collectors series so far
Missy i would think would be top priority, an 8th Doctor from Night if the Doctor
DoctorSong2016
September 19th, 2015 - 9:54pmI was expecting it all to be released at once as a wave so to speak, but they are treating it like they are separate releases, I really hope we get a few more new figures before the end of the year, I mean Missy and NOTD eight are probably on their way fairly soon, I just hope it wont take ages between releases, I mean its a year since Missy first appeared and two years since NOTD, plus 3.75 versions are being released so I hope we get them soon
The13thDoctor
September 19th, 2015 - 10:10pmyeah, there’s a few characters that i feel should really be made shuck as missy and the 8th doctor. I assume we will more than likely get a few more 12th doctor variants as well now that they have the mould. As for them creating a wave, i can’t see it my self but i agree that they take too long between realising single figures, maybe they could do a few new series 8-9 3 pack figures with new characters/moulds? that could work and then they could charge a little more as well since we’d be getting 3 figures at a time.. what do people think to that idea?
Anonymous
September 19th, 2015 - 6:04pmRight , I’ve decided, I’ll get the black and purple/red shirt variants when there realised but ill avoid this one as I’m convinced we’ll eventually see a cardigan ed version
DoctorSong2016
September 20th, 2015 - 11:07amI’m not sure about a cardigan version but definitely a waistcoat version as they could make the red coat version as well
