I stopped collecting new series figures when this new 3.75″ range came out, such a decline in details and overall quality. I still collect the classic figures, which are fantastic, and to be honest I don’t see a long future for this 3.75″ range.

I’m not being big headed her but out of everyone I don’t think no one wants the scale to be back to the 5 inch range. It’s so difficult because I love doctor who but hate the new scaled figures, the detail is crap, they brake easily (well the doctor)and because I made all my figures interact with eachother like the doctor and Rose with a classic villain I can’t do that now and it’s so bad! Character are so stupid and if they want to keep there fans then bring 5 inch back! If I could send them a message to pledge them to bring it back I would!

      1. Ice Warrior
      2. dalek
      3. cyberman
      4. doctor
      5. clara
      6. weeping angel

      1– best 6– worst

ok thank you i had my doubts at these but i like them the way u can make them canpatable with sets

    • Jordan

      July 29th, 2013 - 6:10pm

To be honest I prefer 5 inch, you could see the detail on them much more clearly and they were harder to break, plus the detail was outstanding (unlike these figures) But anyway 1-6 worst
      1.Cyberman
      2.Dalek
      3.Clara
      4.Ice Warrior
      5.Weeping Angel
      6. The Doctor (It doesn’t even look like him)!

i agree i love the 5 inch but they wont from the series 7

    • Antonio Zambonini

      July 29th, 2013 - 6:30pm

be back i mean and they wont do any past series in these range i thought they where bit bad to start with but i do like the way they are good with playsets and display like as i think it takes some time to adjust to them

    • Jordan

      July 29th, 2013 - 7:12pm

I only think these new figures are for play value insted of collecting, but the 5 inch range had the potential of both you could play with them easily and there was more variety you could interact a Rose figure with a classic zygon and a dalek where as this one there’s no other figures (that are doctor who) to play with them with. Sure there will be in the futer but it won’t be the same. Still more to the point of my opinion what i’m trying to say is 5 inch had the potential of play and collecting value the new scale though only has play value

    • Antonio Zambonini

      July 29th, 2013 - 7:20pm

i agreee but i am staying to my classics 100% as they are the only classic figures but if i had to go for new ones then i would have to buy these

    • Jordan

      July 30th, 2013 - 8:38am

Ok, but 5 inch had way better detail. I know this may sound strange but look at 3 inch Doctor and compare it to a 5 inch one (11th) and straight away you see how bad the detail is. I actually thought it was the 12th Doctor being released early because it’s not Matt Smith. Anyway just look, you may change you’re mind

    • Antonio Zambonini

      July 31st, 2013 - 9:46pm

i know i did look i went to my local fb today and thought i wasnt gonna buy them as now i have changed my mind as i think some are ok but u are right as they are play valule and for younger children as my bro used to collect star wars figures and they was the same scale sort of ans they are better quilty tbh then the dr who ones i do profer the classics and have changed my mind on these plus i aint going to start collecting another range of figures as then i will have no money to buy any classic figures

    • Antonio Zambonini

      July 31st, 2013 - 9:52pm

as even now classic dr who figures are worth 4 times more then a 3.75 dr who figure look at the keeper of traken set for example cost 40 pounds yes but its brillant set two of the thinngs are retro cast(hollow) which with the 3.75 inch figure u wont get that and the detail on the melkaur is excellent detail where as the 3.75 inch are shobby

      but the cyberman comes close

    • Da Big Friendly Button

      July 29th, 2013 - 2:05pm

I personally think the cyberman is the best, but the way they managed to downscale the dalek to look like its five inch counterpart is astounding.

    • Jordan

      July 29th, 2013 - 6:11pm

Cyberman defiantly, although dalek is a close second but for me to much blue paint was used on the eyestalk resulting it to look like paint just spilled all over it

3 questions: 1. Does anyone think they should have done the weeping angel as alternative vareints as screeming angels and weepinng ones instead of having one as normal and the other more popular one rare?
    2. does anyone think they should have had twistable wrists for the hands?
    3. does anyone think they should have put turnable hands on the weeping angel, so it can actaully blink!

I bought the figures all the figures for £60.00 and now there at argos, the doctor who shop told me no retailers like argos were getting them! well am I annoyed now!

    • Trenzalore

      July 27th, 2013 - 1:02pm

£60.00!!! 😯 But you can get them from BBC shop all of them for like £35.00

    • Jordan

      July 27th, 2013 - 2:52pm

There isn’t a BBC shop in my area the only shop I could get them from was who’s toys (a small shop in Mansfield) and they were £10.00 each so £60.00 for the lot, to be honest i’m so annoyed because the man said no retailers like argos was getting them and that’s why they were that price. Not going back to that shop again!

    • Trenzalore

      July 27th, 2013 - 2:59pm

Oh no I meant BBC shop on the internet. And don’t you have a toys r us anywhere near you, they have them at £6.99.

    • Jordan

      July 27th, 2013 - 3:25pm

I don’t get things on the internet because hate putting credit card details in just not a fan, and not really it’s about half an hour away and I don’t have a car. It was either get the figures from who’s toys or don’t get them at all. Wish I waited because Argos is down my street so 3 minutes away

    • Trenzalore

      July 27th, 2013 - 3:54pm

Well never mind, at least you have the figures 🙂 I never used to like putting my details in but when I tried it with BBC shop it always goes fine and they always deliver quickly (3-4 days) Also they are really nice; when I ordered something (Genesis of the Daleks) and didn’t realise they didn’t have it in stock, I emailed them and they sent a copy off 3 days later. I always buy my classic DVD’s from them now. But I can understand why you don’t; when I first did it I was really nervous and some of the story’s you hear don’t help.

    July 26th, 2013 - 2:36pm

I picked up the eleventh doctor figure and spin and fly TARDIS today, love the TARDIS design but its a shame there’s no interior lights or sound but overal a nice little collection piece!

As for the Eleventh Doctor figure…well not happy is an under statement!

As many people will know new figures can be quite stiff so I always VERY CAREFULLY loosen the joints on a new figure after unpacking.

First the head, twisted it to one side and it popped off in my hand!! Then I loosened the waist and that popped off too and the foot broke completely!!

      July 18th, 2013 - 5:44pm

I was think really hard about these I mean I was glad that character options finally brought out new series 7 figures but I still wasn’t sure so I though ill have a look in stores to see them in person so when I saw them in person I thought what that’s it really but there so tiny but really what gets me I have to pay £9.00 for that I mean £6 or £7 would be fine but £9 I could get bigger and of course a lot more detailed for £10 I mean don’t get wrong they are ok they are worth getting but I was going to get all 6 but I’m only getting 2 of the 6

    • Jordan

      July 18th, 2013 - 9:06pm

It’s like me because I have to pay £10.00 from the shop I get mine from. If your only getting 2 of the 6 figures in the wave get the cyberman and Clara Oswald, Would recommend getting the doctor though even though it’s the worst doctor figure I have ever seen because the detail on the face is horrendous but with out him the collection doesn’t seem right without him

The Doctor, Clara, and Ice Warrior figures are now on Who North America along with the Dalek and Ice Warrior play sets! I love the very original comments on how tiny and undetailed they are. 🙄

They seem ok as far as detailed as far as I can see, though not as good as the 5 inch. I’d have to get one, I really want all except maybe the Angel.

The look a lot better in pictures than in person standing next to your old 5″ ones. Incredibly small (shorter than 3 3/4 inches)and no texture detail like the had on clothing on the 5″ figures. I like them but they should be at least half the price of the old ones, not £3 less. And in Ireland where I live they overcharge and it works out as only €2 less which is less than £3.

I agree they aren’t that well scaled compared to other 3.75 inch figures either. What really irritated me was the cyberman is to small when I compare it to the doctor it’s the same size as him and cybermen are supposed to be 2 meters tall and i’m very sure Matt Smith is not 2 meters tall. I really hope character or underground toys bring out some 5 inch figures for series 7. I would love to have a 5 inch Clara mostly and would love a new 5 inch 2013 cybermen because they are my faverioute villain

100 per batch, but there seems to be a lot of Daleks and Cybermen turning up

      July 15th, 2013 - 10:30pm

I have not seen any at all but not seen any chase doctor’s, Clara’s or Weeping angels but I am not to keen spending nearly £50-200.00 because I can get the normal one’s which are so similar so much cheaper. Unfortunately I don’t have a BBC shop or a Toys’R’us where I live just a tiny doctor shop round the corner so it’s difficult to get rare figures the only place I can get them is online and that’s when you seem to spend the most money.

Woohoo! I went to Toys R Us in East Kilbride and I managed to get The Tenth Doctor and Dalek set, The Third Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver rerelease and the 3.75″ Weeping Angel Figure. That is my Wave One complete! For anyone who’s wondering, the Toys R Us in East Kilbride has stocked up on the new figures. They still have a Cyberman, a Dalek and an Ice Warrior left!

Scott, is the Doctor/Dalek Set and the Third Doctor Sonic any good?

    • Scott the Raptor

      July 17th, 2013 - 5:21pm

Yes, they’re both very good. Just watch out if you get the doctor/Dalek and open it that you don’t twist the doctors head too far. I went in with my friend and he opened the set on our way home. He got the doctor out, twisted the head too far and it now has a big grey line across the neck. He asked me if I wanted to swap sets with him!

I know, my Tenth Doctors had marks on their necks. I can’t decide whether to get the Tenth Doctor one or the Sixth Doctor one! I have a Tenth Doctor but this one has a new sculpt as well as glasses and the Dalek is cool. The Sixth Doctor looks brilliant and so does the Dalek.

I’d get The Tenth Doctor set. It has two new figures.

    Clara
    Zygon
Russell T Davies era Cyberman (I’m sure thet they’re in the episode).

Blimey! I’ve seen 2 red dress Clara figures sell on eBay recently for over £100 each. I’ve put one of mine on eBay. It’d be lovely if it went as high as that. 🙂

My red dress Clara figure sold for £63. But the buyer is a time waster who hasn’t paid for it. They have zero feedback on eBay and wont even reply to my messages. 🙁

    • booboo

      July 23rd, 2013 - 10:32am

it happens, unfortunately ebay works totally in the buyers favour now so you will have to wait and open non paying bidder case then wait days for them to reply if they do – in about 2 weeks you may get your fees back and be able to realist it

They may still pay of course.

You wont be able to leave them negative feedback to warn other sellers but of course they can do it to you if you put the slightest foot wrong or even just for the hell of it and there will be nothing you can do

I think for November time character should bring out the new wave. It would be a great time because of the 50th anniversary and lots of kids and collectors would want them at the point, well I certainly would. Plus it gives us more chance to complete wave 1 and to get the playsets. Wave 2 should have
1.Amy Pond (From The Angels Take Manhattan)
2.River Song (From Name of The Doctor)
3.Rory Williams (The Angels Take Manhattan)
    4.The Gunslinger
    5.Drone Dalek
    6.strategist dalek

the legs are a bit weird but it is probably one of the stronger figures in the wave if I had to put them in order of how good they are I would have:
      1) Cyberman
      2) Clara
      3) Ice warrior
      4) Dalek
      5) Doctor
      6) Weeping angel

Thanks. I already have all the one’s in the wave except the Ice Warrior. I might get it it’s just all the figures from the shop I go to are £10.00 and when you have to save up for other things it’s quiet difficult. Adding on these figures are rare from where I am so I need to come up with some money fast to get it.
