did the tenth doctor have 3.75 chase versions? as last week on ebay i found and bought tenth doctor 3.75 brown suit and coat with glasses and tenth doctor 3.75 brown suit no glasses they both where both unboxed and came with blue stands i’d never seen these versions before.I even looked on the internet to find info on them but found none.

As I recall the heads were quite easy to remove, so perhaps someone bought a suit/glasses one and a coat/no glasses one and swapped the heads over?

I’ve recently started collecting the chase variants, as eBay sellers occasionally now sell them for more affordable prices. So far, I have a Looped Angel (cost around £19) and a purple waistcoat Eleventh Doctor (about £14).

I got my first doctor who figure today from this particular wave. When i first saw the photo’s of them a couple of months ago, i was really surprised with the new size that character options had chosen! Although when i finally had the chance to purchase it, I was very shocked to see the comparison from the original designed figures and the new… I wouldn’t say i dislike the new change, but would prefer it if they do eventually decide to change them back! The 11th doctor is still very detailed, but the previous versions were still better. 😀

The cyberman figure I got was a fake And when i taken out the box it broke. But my dad repaired it and then a month later it broke again. But now I’m getting another from ebay for 19.99 and the one I’m getting doesn’t have moc on the top like the fake one I didn’t Even see the moc thing until my dad had repaired it.

I’ve finally got the variant figures, I originally ordered them off popcultcha but they sent the wrong figures apart from the the weeping angel variants. I ordered the rest of WHONA and they have just arrived. I have noticed that the packaging is slightly different on the variant wave as they advertise the new playsets.

      same happened to me

been caught on everything, dont mind Vat, its the handling charge that the killer

consolation is its still much cheaper than getting them in the UK

The problem is you are paying the local overseas Taxes and UK vat so you are paying for both economies

If you are overseas and order from the UK you can claim the vat back

and making the screaming weeping angel a rare variant is pointless and stupid aswell when its their main appearance i think you should do a poll booboo for people to vote on if the rare variants are a good idea or not

So much for the rarity of these I guess! Is this standard practice for Character Options to let chase figures dribble out, whipping collectors into a frenzy only to then release them in plentiful numbers as a variant wave? I don’t have most of these so it’s good for me, but seems like it would be a hard pill to swallow for those who have dished out big bucks for these already.

Figure is in decent quality and photos aren’t blurred.

I have scene the photo on WHONA’s I think it’s a poor paint job on the face, and you want the figures to be top quality when paying out a lot of money for them.

Still think the 5″ figures are better.

If anyone is thinking of lashing out silly money on an 11th Doctor variant via ebay, please go to the “I do not like the 3.75 figures” thread on WHONA’s Toys And Releases forum, and look at the photo one of the board members has posted of the figure they recently bought off the site.

It kind of puts the lie to the “variants have better paint apps” theory.

I have four variants and I could have done better paint jobs, It looks like they come off the production line and they pick them at random and paint over them, Clara you can clearly see bits of her blue dress under the red. The Doctor the edge of his waistcoat some blue has run over onto his shirt and some doesn’t even cover the purple. The scraming angels I have the stone and the looped same mould different plastic.
