August 17th, 2018 - 9:57amYeah paint/glue defects seem to be plaguing these sets. I was lucky to have my local B&M put aside all three figure sets, but that’s always a danger as I can’t pick them from a bunch. The 70’s set is okay apart from a lump of mis-moulded plastic on baker’s chin and glue smeared over the Auton’s leg. Very annoying but will have to keep the set and live with it until I can source a replacement.
Eleventh doctor set was okay apart from a big black mark on Amy’s face. Again will have to keep the set and source a replacement figure at some point.
Twelfth doctor set was awful. Chips all over doctor, huge black chip on Bill’s chin. In any other scenario completely unacceptable but still got to hang on to it as may be the only set I every get to own.
Nuts really, that after all this I then have to try to source some replacement figures. I have low expectations with these sets, but figures with big marks on their face are useless if you want to display them!

August 16th, 2018 - 7:23pmFinally got all 3 figure sets from church street in Blackpool town centre. Had a fair few of all 3 in. this afternoon. Definitely no TARDIS sets unless you do go to the home stores was told, as they weren,t getting them in above. If i,d waited locally in Yorkshire found it severly lagging. I can wait now for the TARDIS set if at all . More than happy now.

Has it been confirmed or not if the Tardis set is exclusive to the home stores or have they been found in bargain stores?
Just trying to find this out so I know which of my locals to keep an eye on as I already own the figure sets, and I’m just looking for that Tardis set now.

Got a bunch of the figure sets aswell, seems there isn’t many people looking here. My hunt is over now, good luck everyone on getting yours.

August 16th, 2018 - 3:29pmYesterday in Wythenshawe had only 9th Doctors set. Rang the Cheetham hill store and kept aside for me the 11th Doctor set as that is all they had except the 9th Doctor set. Sale had nothing when I called earlier.

This things are normally planned a couple of years in advance, so the loss of these retailers may have come as a shock to Character Options who probably had already started production of the sets.

Phoning them up is useless as the staff, though very keen to help, keep getting confused with the product number and the old 9th doctor set which they have plenty of.

August 16th, 2018 - 2:40pmNo, I’d leave it because I’ve rung and called into as many as four stores this week and one of them I called yesterday said they’d be getting a delivery in today. I phoned them again this morning to confirm this and it was a different person on the phone and they said they wouldn’t be unpacking the delivery until tonight so I went to the store today and another staff member told me that they wouldn’t be in until the weekend or next week.
