Character Building Temporal Balster Set

Time is fractured!…and now the Vortex is being invaded by the Doctor’s arch enemies the Daleks and the Cybermen! Using stolen Time technology, they could do untold damage to Time itself, so the Doctor with his companions by his side must venture into the Vortex to find and stop them. Each Enemy is protected by a bubble of Temporal shielding made up of four shields.

temrol-750

The following sets have Red blaster bolts…

Cyberman Blaster with Eleventh Doctor
Cyberman Blaster with Dalek Drone
Cyberman Blaster with Dalek Scientist
Cyberman Blaster with Dalek: The Supreme
Cyberman Blaster with Dalek Strategist

The following sets have blue blaster bolts…

Dalek Exterminator with River Song
Dalek Exterminator with Rory Williams
Dalek Exterminator with Amy Pond
Dalek Exterminator with Cyberleader
Dalek Exterminator with Cyberman

When all four shields are knocked down the enemy is thrown back out of the Vortex to their own time and space… But… The Doctor is also using the same technology and can also be knocked out of Time. Use Dalek and Cyberman weaponry to fire bolts of time energy at your opponents’ Temporal Shields to knock them down one by one.

temrol-7501

When the Shields are gone the enemy is eliminated. Cyberman Blaster and Dalek Exterminator versions are available. Each pack includes one spring loaded blaster weapon, one micro-figure, and one Temporal Shield. 10 variations to collect. One supplied. Styles may vary. For ages 5 years and over.

the blue shields are spring loaded and “click” shut, you then fire the (pink) missile at them from the gun and bring the shields down

Yesterday (17/01/12), the new Tesco Extra in Crewe on Monday had a “placeholder” for these figures. I stress they had no physical stock or imagery, but the price was £7.49.

Argos now seem (In some places) to have an early release of a Silents Army-Builder Pack (With Open-Mouth Variants) unknown if it is an exclusive to Argos only, like last year’s Cyberman Set? They also have the Dalek & Cyberman Versions of the Temporal Blast Combat Sets. So I’m checking all my local Argos stores this Mon. Argos new Catalogue is out next Sat 21st. Jan.

Trouble is this happens a lot! You can guarantee that if you want something & see a mention of it & don’t follow it up, it then disappears & you never get it! I was extremely lucky to get my White Shirt 11th. Doctor Variant & missed out on Idris with 5 Cubes because FP never got any in stock. My opinions on your Series 3:

Doctor in green long coat-Totally agree
Amy from The Girl who Waited-Totally agree
Rory from Let’s Kill Hitler-Totally agree
River from Let’s Kill Hitler-Totally agree
Captain of the Teselecta-Strange choice, but not actually a bad idea
Corroded cyberman with chest damage-Totally agree
Corrodded cyberman with limb damage-A minor variant to the above, would prefer something else
      Handbot-Totally Agree
      Doctor with eyepatch-Totally agree
Doctor in wedding suit-Could have something else instead of a third doctor.

    • BOOBOO JR

      January 8th, 2012 - 1:29pm

Overall, some good choices. As for the variants, I think it would be better to see something from a Classic Story maybe, or something from Series 1 – 4. The rest of your ideas are brilliant!

    • Handbot Scott

      January 8th, 2012 - 1:42pm

it couldn’t be from classic or series 1-4 because they would release those in a seperate wave

The RTD era as a whole is part of the classic series now so if anything was to come out from it that wasn’t also involved in the Eleventh Doctor’s series then it would be in with classic figures.

They could just make a smaller body sculpt for Sontarans and then reuse it for children or something along those lines. It certainly wouldn’t be impossible to remake the body, there is even a different arm structure for male and female figures.

I think Character Building should back-track through the history of the Doctor. If they released 20 new characters that go back through his history, I think it would go down SO well! I would suggest the following.

    1. Sarah Jane Smith
    2. The Brigadier
    3. Davros
    4. Sontaran (Helmet on)
    5. Sontaran (Helmet off)
    6. Menoptera
    7. Ice Warrior
    8. The Master
    9. K-9
    10. U.N.I.T. Soldier
    11. Classic Cyberman
    12. Captain Jack
    13. Rose Tyler
    14. Martha Jones
    15. Sharaz Jek
    16. The Editor
    17. Jamie McRimmon
    18. Jo Grant
    19. Ace
    20. Ood

I would LOVE a companion set, much like the 11 Doctors set, but if they did i think they would keep it in the ‘now’ as it were

      Rose Tyler
      Captain Jack
      Mickey Smith
      Sarah Jane Smith
      Martha Jones
The Master (not a companion but you he was a main character)
      Astrid Peth
      Donna Noble
      Jackson Lake
      Christina de Souza
      Adeliade Brooke
      Wilfred Mott
      Amy Pond
      Rory Williams
      River Song

That would be an awesome set that i would gladly fork out my money on!!! 😀
