I just emailed Character about the supposed Lego takeover and cancellation of the character building doctor who line and this was their response “Dear Mr Emrick

I write in response to your recent e mail and would like to assure you that the rumour you have heard is exactly that.

We have no official information on any other licence for the Dr Who Character Building range.

The plans to release the range shown at the Toy Fair is still in progress and you should see the products on sale in stores and online over the coming months.

I hope the above fully answers your query and many thanks for your interest in our range.

This would be amazing. I look at the recent announcements of the 4 and 5 inch figures ranges hoping that similar CB news will follow. This release looks great and CB becoming part of the Capaldi era keeps that momentum going. Fingers-crossed.

I am still with Booboo on this. The item looks like the “New Series” of display brix currently available in Boots, TRU and other retailers in the UK.

However, I am very keen to know when CB will be releasing Series 4. Hard earned cash at the ready!

In light of the recent Lego announcements I was concerned about the future of Character Who but it looks like both companies might be producing Who stuff. Hey Toys R Us are seeling Lego and Mega Bloks Marvel products still so maybe there’s some kind of arrangement.

Personally I’m more attached to the CB Who products as I find the aesthetics and molding of the mini figures more enjoyable.

Updated TARDIS looks loads better too. No wonder they postponed it for so long.

I am glad Madame Vastra has been released for Character building. Now all we need is Jenny and Strax to accompany her aswell as having 3.75″ versions of them too.

“Has been released” is jumping the gun, but hopefully not long now until we get a release date. The first wave of Doctor Who Display Brix are in Boots and seem to be selling. I have got what I want from this wave, so Series 4 cannot come soon enough.
