My lordies! An RTD Dalek with saucer pilot stripes…! It may be 3.75 inch but that might be something worth getting! Now if only they’d do the rare black dalek from The Parting of Ways like Eaglemoss…

These really aren’t collector friendly, I hope we get the sort of thing that Bandai is doing for the Power Rangers anniversary. They are releasing expensive but high qualty collectors stuff like the legacy morpher and megazord. We need this sort of thing to happen for the classics, especially if we want a TARDIS console room.

The Tenth Doctor, Amy and the Dalek look pretty good. It shows that 3.75 inch could work well. But what’s already been released (and Capaldi and Zygon especially) look atrocious. Then again, the prototype for the 5 inch Eleventh Doctor looked better than what we got. I have a niggling feeling that by final release, they’ll look horrible.

They are supposedly Light & Sound FX Plush – But I don’t really think they can be called Plush. Hopefully they won’t make these badly printed “sad sacks” as I’ve now started calling them ~

Amy and the Tenth Doctor are being released anytime from September (personally I would have thought it would make more sense to release them earlier, but whatever). The Zygon is coming out in March.

Dear God, just read through comments on on the OFFICIAL Doctor Who facebook page on the new figures, 1000’s of them, and virtually every one of em totally negative.

At least their is some positivity here.

Im afraid its because these are rubbish compared to the 5 inch range. Ive never seen a decent 11th Doctor figure yet. Details in these are v poor. No wonder comments are negative!!!

    • booboo

      January 22nd, 2014 - 11:32am

Rubbish perhaps not totally deserved, mostly inferior yes.

yet i have a red dress Clara (US) that looks superb and the 10th Doctor and Amy at the show looked “in the flesh” much better than any 5″ figure of them likeness wise

      So it can be done

However this is clearly a “toy” line now

I am making the point as i think forums and fan sites have come underfire for their negativity to wards the range, but it isn’t ALL negative unlike that page.

I love them! Yeah obviously There is room for improvement but I’m clad they’ve brought them out then not bring them out at all. Definitely going to be buying all 3.75 range, they can only get better 🙂

      January 22nd, 2014 - 5:46pm

I like them because there afordable, and if I’m honest the detail is excellent on most of the figures.

These new releases have convinced me to try to move on from 5-inch figures and collect mainly 3.75-inch.

2005- end of David Tennants era as i understand it, before that classic and after that new series

    • ahunter8056

      January 22nd, 2014 - 1:04pm

Actually to the best of my knowledge, the heritage line is 1963 – 2010. As the upcoming Genesis Dalek is listed as part of the Heritage range, this must mean that the Heritage range is any toy of anything from an era before the current Doctor.

    • booboo

      January 22nd, 2014 - 1:07pm

maybe, in that case seems they are are renaming it to distance the range for the 5″ classic line

    • ahunter8056

      January 22nd, 2014 - 2:13pm

It seems so. While I’ll miss the 5″ scale figures and their superiority over the 3.75″ scale figures, it looks like there just isn’t a successful market for them, so at least they’re going all out for the new scale.

I don’t think I will be the Dalek with claw, I will stick with the New Imperial Guard. Also, probably won’t by the angel because I already have one.

    So I will get:
    12th Doctor (regeneration)
    11th Doctor (tweed)
    Zygon
    Clara (red dress)
    Imperial Guard Dalek

    Awesome! 🙂

The Zygon looks “ok” but Peter Capaldi’s face is just awful. But I guess anything looks better than Matt’s sculpt. I’m just hoping that because these are prototypes that the faces will improve.
