Celebrate the 50th Anniversary With Forbidden Planet International

Shop on-line at www.ForbiddenPlanet.co.uk

We’ve always been totally behind Doctor Who at Forbidden Planet and starting today, we’re launching a chain-wide celebration for the show’s 50th anniversary throughout November and December where you can pick up freebies and earn discounts of Doctor Who items.

fp-carrier

First of all, we’ve produced eleven exclusive limited-edition carrier bags through the good graces of the BBC. Each one showcases a specific Doctor within an attractive silhouette design, they will only be available to those purchasing Doctor Who items. We think they are fantastic and we think all fans will want to make a visit to stores to grab them. Each week from now until December 10th, two designs will be available for customers. The availability is as follows:

  • 1st Doctor (William Hartnell) and 2nd Doctor (Patrick Troughton): November 1st to 7th
  • 3rd Doctor (Jon Pertwee) and 4th Doctor (Tom Baker): November 8th to November 14th.
  • 5th Doctor (Peter Davidson) and 6th Doctor (Colin Baker): November 15th to November 21st.
  • 7th Doctor (Sylvester McCoy) and 8th Doctor (Paul McGann): November 22nd to November 28th
  • 9th Doctor (Christopher Eccleston) and 10th Doctor (David Tennant): November 29th to December 5th.
  • and then from December 6th onwards, we’ll have 11th Doctor (Matt Smith) bags until we run out!

We only have very limited numbers of each design so schedule a store visit soon if you want to collect them.

As it’s important (who’s arguing?) this month to show your love of all things Doctor, we’ve teamed up with the BBC to unleash these awesome free pin badges through our stores. Just pop into your local Forbidden Planet International shop and ask our staff for one! We’re already wearing them – come join us. The badges are FREE – wear them loud and proud!

Exclusive Doctor Who Badge Giveaways

Doctor Who fever is going to be at an all-time high this month and we know people will be eager to grab things for their own collections (as well as part of their Christmas shopping), so we’re launching a Doctor Who discount card. Every time you buy a Doctor Who item in one of our shops, we’ll stamp your card. When you get four stamps, you’re entitled to 15% discount off of any Doctor Who item in-store. We already offer great discounts as standard on Doctor Who items, so you’ll be able to grab a Galaxy-sized bargain here

It’s on Oldham Street, opposite Café Pop. They can’t put up a big sign on the front because of the way the shops are, but the staff (Janice, Pritesh, Darren and Owen) are lovely
