Stocks Arrive – B&M 2019 Sets Product Codes, Prices and Information

Stocks have now arrived in many stores

B&M have now added the sets to their website at www.bmstores.co.uk

We have closed comments on all other B&M posts so they can be concentrated here.

Its that time again and this year there is probably more interest in these sets than ever before because of the inclusion of 2 brand new head sculpts, previously elusive figures, the 5th Doctors Tardis and a new line of Big Finish Doctor and Dalek sets.

Make no mistake this is a fine assortment of products considering the price points.

There should however be plenty of stock and the inevitable popularity of these sets over previous years appears to have been allowed for this time around.

The Tardis Sets have the same code as all the previous sets therefore the system cannot distinguish between them. If you require a specific set then it will need to be visually confirmed.

The 3 Figure Sets
all have new and individual product codes making stock inquiries much easier.

The Big finish Doctor Dalek Sets all have one code. If you require a specific set then it will need to be visually confirmed.

The Sonic Screwdrivers all have one code and are in the new Blue/Silver style guide.

For the most part people in the past have been extremely helpful in posting where sets have been found however we strongly recommend you check availability yourself before traveling.

The Product codes are as follows…

  • The 4th and 5th Doctor Tardis sets Product code 337412 £19.99.

  • The Second Doctor Figure Set product code 347790 £19.99
  • The Sontaran Figure Set (inc Harry) product code 347791 £19.99
  • The Seventh Doctor Figure Set product code 347792 £19.99

  • Big Finish Doctor and Dalek Sets product code 347793 £19.99

  • 10th, 11th and War Doctors Sonic screwdrivers product code 348589 £9.99

  • All Previous 3 Figure Sets Product code 294255 Price Variable

To find your nearest store visit www.bmstores.co.uk. Please ring (option 3) to check availability before travelling.

Quick question: on the Dalek sets, the box states the Big Finish story. Is that the story the Dalek is from rather than the Doctor? For example the 8th Doctor set states the “Time War” but that variant is (supposed to resemble) the costume worn in the Dark Eyes, Doom Coalition and Ravanous stories.

Yes, only the Dalek is from In the Garden of Death whilst the Doctor, as you rightly say, is in his Dark Eyes costume-he wears the Night of the Doctor costume in the Time War stories. Likewise, the Seventh Doctor doesn’t appear in the Gallifrey series bar a brief cameo, so these sets are more inspired by the stories rather than being strict representations.

Bexhill update: No new doctor-dalek sets or TARDIS sets or 7th doctor and cybermen. Some Harry+Sontarans and “Two Doctors” Androgum, Peri and Sontaran sets left. Lots of 3-pack figures from previous years like 4th doctor-Brig-auton, eleventh doctor set and 12-bill-missy which are on sale.

Yeah, same as last week. They told me that they would not be ording any new stock for at least 2 or 3 weeks and if the demand was still there they may put another order in – I think its fair to say that Bexhill is dead now.

I was lucky enough to get the 3 Dalek sets on ebay for £74.99. The extra £15 is worth not having to do another 25 mile round trip.

      September 3rd, 2019 - 11:14pm

I saw your comment earlier this week, I was hoping that it was just some staff confusion but alas they seem to match up with what I heard and now what I’ve seen. Very angry right now. Yeah I should have just ordered off ebay, now they’re too expensive. I think the £15 was a smart idea, beats using it for gas instead. Do you recommend any other method to get these besides ebay/ driving to another B&M? I’m desperately looking for the 8th Doctor and Dalek and Fifth Doctor and Tardis set.

Agreed, I think it’s safe to say Bexhill is dead now. Man this is frustrating. Sorry to vent. Just really upset, as I’m sure many are right now.

There’s this one seller on ebay, “your_funny_uncle”, I saw an 8th doctor-dalek go for £45 a few days ago and then just saw today that they posted another one of the same. Honestly, those scalpers must’ve just stuck their hand out as they came down the aisle and shoved the lot into their basket. I’m still fuming about how they (Bexhill) said they’d get stock Sunday last week, then put it out Saturday evening all for it to go in half an hour before closing. Absolutely gutted. Hope you have better luck than I did. Really hoping for something to come through.

Yup. I share your frustration. I don’t blame CO or B&M – they are businesses, they care not a jot about the grey market this creates providing the sets sell in the first place. They are there to make money, not to look after the fans so I accept that. However, for all I cherish the BBC, I do wonder if this situation is ethical for a public service broadcaster. I appreciate that licences will be handled by the commercial arm of the BBC but I do wonder if the right people are aware that the current arrangement between CO and B&M means so many fans of their flagship family drama show are having to go through so much stress and pay more than double just to get a hold of these figures. I feel a social media post with lots of tags and hash tags coming on haha. I can imagine a lot if the anti BBC press running with that story.

To answer your question, the only other thing I am going to try (I am still after the 2 TARDIS sets) is to contact friends and family in parts of the country that seem to have 3 or 4 B&M stores within a 10 mile radius. It’s a big ask though especially when they dont really know what they are looking for. Besides that I will keep and eye in Ebay in the hope I get lucky.

Any update on the other Belfast stores? I was told in Connswater two days ago that they weren’t getting any. The guy attempted to show me some handheld stock device he had but that seems incredibly unlikely if a tiny store like Rosemary Street is getting the sets.

They had a much larger space for the Who toys than normal with just a couple of the old sets along the front of the space. Wouldn’t surprise me at all if they had got them in and were cleared out immediately despite not one person there claiming to know anything about them over the last week.

Nothing in Connswater last night either- didn’t get there today. Will have a look tomorrow and update. Will drop into the Cregagh Road branch too.

    • EvanMarshall

      September 3rd, 2019 - 10:34pm

Thanks jcm2701. My son has all the sets he wants and I have a few. I’m going to wait on the three packs I want as I think they’ll be the easiest to get and might even end up being marked down. With funds tight after the big splurge last week I can wait on them. However, I still need an Eighth Doctor/Dalek from the other sets and I’d like to find him soon as I fear he will sell out long before the three packs.

If you see one on your travels let me know. I’ll do another scout around a few shops tomorrow. I think the big shop in the mall on the outskirts of Bangor has the sets (someone on GB said so) but it’s a bit of hassle for me to get there. The smaller shop on Bangor’s main street has nothing.

I have just come back from yet another fruitless Tardis hunt on the south coast and pretty much am at the point now where I feel I may as well give up. I have spoken to staff asking if they are getting them in and they say they are but nothing goes on shelves. I must have spent upwards of £70 on fuel now and no less than 30 visits to B&M stores over the last week and a half. Where does it end?

May as well have just bought from ebay in the first place. I really feel collecting figures should be enjoyable and not this utter misery of trying to find sets. I feel I have been more than patient with this and keep hearing ‘there are lots out there’ ‘plenty to go around’. Well, not the case here….

I share your frustration! I’m visiting at least two stores everyday and have found nothing! This whole experience has been quite exhausting

    • Jon

      September 2nd, 2019 - 2:06pm

Exhausting is the word. It’s unfair to announce these things and then simply fail to provide stock forcing people in to a position where they either have to devote weeks to hunting or miss out. I’m very disappointed in B&M as it is becoming a bit of a farce now.

Less of the 3rd Doctor Tardis were made and I had no issue in finding that and I saw it pop up on shelves with regularity. I do not understand the issues this time around if they have made more.

    • Andrew

      September 2nd, 2019 - 2:22pm

Understand the frustration & I guess I was lucky to find almost every thing I was after.
But bear in mind ALL last year three packs are still easily available.
& the 4th Doctor Tardis was reduced to £10 to clear stock.

Give it time and I’m sure they will be back.
Most BM staff were focused on getting Halloween on display when I was about. Rather than unpacking their copious Xmas stock.

I’ll be going thru most Hants/Dorset by Sunday. Will post if I see any more.

Farlington manager said he was getting more on this week.
There is note on the shelf in there saying only 2 per customer.
He says he has done this to make sure people who really want them get them.
Apparently refused to sell a whole box to someone last week

    • Jon

      September 3rd, 2019 - 11:19am

That’s good to hear but Farlington is too far for me. I’m giving it two more weeks and then just going to dance with the devil and buy from eBay. I need an end to this ridiculous experience. It is making me seriously consider collecting these figures in future. It also seems to have created madness with older figures as well. Just saw Destiny of the Daleks collectors set go for over £130! It’s all getting very silly.

I was in there at lunchtime today. They had a couple of the other dalek sets, but not the 8th. I got mine from there last week, but it was the last one. I’ve finally seen Tardis sets in there – 5th Doctor only (I just don’t think the mud effect on his clothes is good enough). The three-packs they had at least one of each, lots of the 2nd Doctor actually. Keep your eye on the dalek sets, they only have a small space for them so only one or two of each seem to appear, every few days.
