December 1st, 2020 - 7:10pmIt seems to me that the stock has been mainly Witches sets in the North of England (I’ve seen lots today in around 5 different B&Ms while hunting) and more Coal Hill sets in the South from the comments here. Why can’t Character just let us order them direct online ffs. Pre-orders, then they wouldn’t be left with loads of extra stock, and wouldn’t have to cut B&M in. It doesn’t seem like rocket science.
I would love some rocket science, with a backpack an Ace and an Imperial Dalek right now though. No luck for me yet.

December 1st, 2020 - 8:14pmCharacter rely on B&M as they are guaranteed sales. B&M presumably pay for them up front and Character have the money they need to continue. The sets only sell as well as they do by being in store where footfall gets the casual buyers, which is what keeps B&M interested in the range.
Selling online works for the occasional exclusives but, as the attempt to sell Missy online showed, there isn’t enough demand to do it for all sets.
They can’t just sell pre-order requests, this likely wouldn’t be anywhere near enough to be successful.
They also can’t make to order so they’ll be left with stock if they don’t sell. Whereas selling to B&M means Character don’t have stock left over. Neither do B&M as they reduce stock to sell it off eventually if needed.
On a website like this, with all the fans and collectors, it is easy to forget we are not enough to make this a successful, and therefore continuing, range for Character.
Without B&M we would have a very limited range, if we had any at all.
I get the frustration that we can’t order online. But it just isn’t going to happen in the current market. It wouldn’t work for them on a large scale business model like they need to keep going unfortunately, otherwise they’d already be doing it.

November 30th, 2020 - 5:37pmIf the store puts an order down than I should think some can be sent over if they have some available still. Not the warehouse responsibility to cancel and reallocate stock, only from the store that can make that happen as its all automated who gets what based on grades.

November 30th, 2020 - 6:30pmB&M stores are given certain grades which means they receive certain items, example Rugby elliot Park is a top grade store so will more than likely get items like doctor who in, Clock tower store is a lower grade and so won’t get doctor who items amongst others. How grades are classified i don’t know but they vary from place to place.

B&M Belgrave Gate: 2x 12th Doctor Companion sets, shelf full of the Friends and Foe 13th, a couple of the sontaran sets with Peri and that’s it.
B&M Haymarket: 1x Claws of Axos set, 1x Companions of the 4th Doctor (July 2020) but, plenty of Friends and Foe sets.
B&M St Georges: Nothing.
I’ve no idea if Leicester’ll be getting them.
