Yes, just a re-release of the original Build a Figure that had all sorts of issues with being loose.
I’m glad I’ve got a set though, it will be proudly displayed with my Harrop figurines.

      Hi

Has anyone spotted these in Swindon yet?

I’m currently having to self-isolate and ideally wanted to know if they are in store before I kindly ask a family member to travel on my behalf. Thanks.

9 Robot sets in stock (after I took my one) just after 8pm at Willow Tree Lane/Hayes area. Not in the aisle Who stuff always used to be- these are in the other toy aisle, as some of the last wave were.
    Good luck, all.

Right this has nothing to do with the figure’s in this set.

In my opinion I think with this release They can make more of set with one big figure and a normal figure.
    For an example
    .Jamie with a yeti
.The 3rd doctor and a dinosaur
    .Harry with a Wirrn
    And finally Jo with Azal

Totally agree Mr Penguin, Me and ergon have been on about it for ages.
Also mentioned the Vespiform before. Wouldnt require extra tooling costs either has CO as made it before as a Build a Figure purchase. Also the Gelth figure.

    • TimelordTim

      February 8th, 2022 - 4:05pm

Agree we could get more like this, but limited to Vespiform and Gelth only. Anything else would need brand new tooling that would be beyond the B&M budget line, especially as larger figures require more material to then make as well.

Maybe an online exclusive though. Could see Yeti for instance being in a set with Jamie for £35-£40 that way.

    • booboo

      February 8th, 2022 - 4:07pm

Vespiform is i think the only 5″ figure we don’t have, like many had already bought the wave and couldn’t afford to buy it all over again just for that.

    • Coleman

      February 8th, 2022 - 4:32pm

Same here booboo, bought all the wave without the Vespiform included. Just couldn’t afford to buy them all again.
Always regretted not getting it though, as it’s one of my Favourite figures of all the line.

    • Coleman

      February 8th, 2022 - 4:45pm

Tim, The 3rd Doctor with Dinosaur could be a possibility aswell if they used some of their Primeval Tooling?

    • TimelordTim

      February 8th, 2022 - 6:22pm

Good call Coleman, I don’t know what was in the Primeval range but sounds a good idea.

    • Coleman

      February 8th, 2022 - 6:34pm

Yeah Tim, Off hand I can’t remember all the Dinosaurs which CO made and if they’d be a good match for a Dr Who set.
But aleast their the same scale as Dr Who and made by Character Options.

    • Coleman

      February 8th, 2022 - 7:25pm

If they throw in a box a Primeval Raptor and the Third Doctor I’d be happy.

    • Demdike@CultLabs

      February 8th, 2022 - 11:27pm

They could definitely reissue the Gel Guard, Drashig and Fendahl in this range of large figure with single figure.

    • Demdike@CultLabs

      February 8th, 2022 - 11:28pm

      The werewolf too.

    • TimelordTim

      February 9th, 2022 - 8:41am

Krynoid and Axon as well maybe. Face of Boe possible as well. There’s more than initially thought. Would have to be re-releases still, but the options are there if they think it’s worth it at CO.

    • the ergon

      February 9th, 2022 - 9:46am

The krynoid and axon would be great for a rerelease Tim but they would have to change the head with the blobby smiley face of the original release.I had to turn the head fully around. it looked weird. Axons and Krynoids dont have faces.

    • Coleman

      February 9th, 2022 - 11:56am

The Yeti and Jamie, definitely to keep the Fur Coated Patrick company.
They had a Prototype years ago of the Yeti, so hopefully they can do something with that.
Even if if has to be an online Exclusive (like Tim Mentioned) for £40.

  • Judooning

    February 8th, 2022 - 3:38pm

The 4th Dr is definitely the best B&M 4th we’ve got so far imo. Great detail on the face. Also, his head is easily removable.
K1 is great looking too. A little flimsy though. You have to balance him just right to get him to stand. The mid section joint is just too weak to hold his weight properly.
Still, a fantastic little set that’s definitely worth it. Even if you have the origional versions

Yeah, thanks for the info Nath. I’ll probably check Parkgate.

It was a much longer journey for me.

      February 8th, 2022 - 3:42pm

      Thanks Jaykeys22.
Was going to say, Parkgate as been raided, only three sets left when I arrived, there’s only Two now I’ve picked one up.
I’ll post photo booboo for maps.

      February 8th, 2022 - 3:56pm

I’ll post shelf stock photo soon as I can booboo, the phones batterys just packed up on me, I’ll put it on charge., their was two sets left on shelf at Parkgate.

    • The ergon

      February 8th, 2022 - 4:30pm

The box is a lot smaller than i imagined. They had about 4 or 5 left on shelf tucked away amongst some of the previous sets at meadowhall retail park. So hurry if you live roundabout that area.

    • Coleman

      February 8th, 2022 - 4:39pm

Ergon, I’ve sent a photo in to Maps for the Parkgate site, (if you check it out).
Their was only three sets left when I arrived.
Was just going to say the exact same thing, With K1 being huge I expected the same size box as the Doctor and TARDIS sets.
Instead it’s similar width to the Three packs.

    • the ergon

      February 8th, 2022 - 4:56pm

More compact and less usage of card and plastic, unlike the first time around. The packaging on some was superfluous even bigger sets like styre with his sontaran craft and even the Pyramids and fendahl sets. I,m sure they could have made them smaller somehow. Anyways heres hoping for Adric, Tegan, Nyssa and even Turlough. I would love different outfits for Tegan and Nyssa like they did with Romana. The Andy pandy sarah is my most desired with the hand of Eldrad in box. they could double that with an Harry and Sarah with her in her yellow raincoat.
