This figurine set is inspired by Season 9, Episode 2, first broadcast in September 2015.
On Skaro the Twelfth Doctor confronts a dying Davros who is using living Daleks as life-support. Can the Doctor intercept Davros’ evil plan before it is too late?
The set comprises of the Twelfth Doctor and Davros figures and recognises the face-to-face moment when Davros and the Doctor lock horns.
Speaking of the new release, Al Dewar, Creative Director said: “This year has seen a cascade of new sets for collectors and fans and these latest two sets are favourites of mine because they represent unique moments in Doctor Who that many fans including myself remember… wonderful stuff!’

But when you look at all the quality stuff we’ve been getting from CO for years now, these new sets included. when I look at the Dapol stuff you have to admit it was pretty bad.

October 27th, 2020 - 9:35pmI can still remember the first Dalek Dapol released. It did not have moveable sucker stick or gun arms. They just stuck straight out. Dapol did correct this on subsequent Dalek releases with ball and socket joints.
Then, of course, was the initial Davros release with 2 hands…

They were sat in my loft for years though as didn’t want to display them next to the CO stuff.
Recently sold them on eBay. Just 25th Anniversary set to shift.
Decided that if they are not on display there’s no point hording them after 30 years.

I believe you are right about the TARDIS console with the incorrect number of sides. I never had a TARDIS console, just the TARDIS exterior.
Dapol was also, let’s just say, “creative” in their Dalek coloring schemes. I still have in my collection the USA Dalek and the Christmas Dalek. Then there were the Millennium Daleks with all kinds of weird colors and little sparkling bits in the plastic.

October 27th, 2020 - 12:56pmI hate to raise the point, but aren’t Character Options/B&M jumping the gun a bit with the Remembrance and Witch’s Familiar sets? I mean they still haven’t addressed/rectified the issue with distribution for the October wave! (To a majority of their stores). So who knows when the areas void of stock will get these two sets 🙁 . The scalpers are going to have a field day…
Look on the bright side though, maybe by then, CO’s will have issued a corrected box?

October 27th, 2020 - 12:19pmLooks like Davros is missing the printing on his eye, very strange. The paint aps are great except the head, it’s one solid colour. Might just be that one figure, as the one in the box looks ok, but will only get this if they keep the standards of the series 4 release.

I’m in the South Yorkshire area and were in full lockdown for the next month at least, so not sure wi’ll be getting this one.

October 27th, 2020 - 3:22pmI’m also in South Yorkshire, the tiering restrictions are different to Wales. We’re in Tier 3 but non-essential retail is open. But back when we went into a full lockdown B&M was still fully trading as they’re a food vendor, and I managed to pick up a couple of sets back then while it was quiet.
Also pointer, the large B&M near Parkgate in Rotherham is v good for stocking the sets 🙂

Or do you consider toys as essentials?
I know even in full lockdown B&M will be open because they sell food.

Only Wales has rules for non essential purchases.

There is a post on twitter that says a B&M toy manager told someone that all the stock had been sent to a northern distribution centre and sent to shops from there as a new southern one wasn’t ready.
What that means for the south ever getting these i dont know.

B&M are in the habit of selling stock of rather than redistribute it to stores and areas that never had them.

October 29th, 2020 - 4:40amCan confirm having the set in hand, that the only real difference I can see between the original 2008 Davros and this new one is that the new one has a more shiny silver. Still, good for those who don’t have it, or people whose’s 2008 Davros figure is very battered and bruised (like mine is).

I’m not a big fan of NuWho Davros, but I don’t have his figure or a 12th Doctor one, so this set is kind of a no brainer for me to get.
