The crew of the Liberator battle against the despotic Federation in these thrilling stories and features from the Blake’s 7 Annuals.
“Blake’s 7 are all fugitives in space, their frail alliance fortified by the knowledge that each of them has been marked for extermination by the Federation. But who are these men and women who are prepared to fight to the death for their freedom?”
When a Federation planet comes under attack in Revenge of the Mutoes, Blake and his friends form an uneasy alliance with the alien Mutoes. In Crystal Gazing, a vital element required for the Liberator can only be found on one hostile planet.
An incident during teleport leads Blake to switch forms with another in The Body Stealers, and in The Box the crew members set out to rescue a renegade scientist. The Sima Experiment brings them up against the terrifying products of an Aquatic Research Station, and in Mother Ship an alien hatchling causes havoc on the Liberator just as it comes within range of Space Commander Travis.
Jan Chappell (Cally), Sally Knyvette (Jenna) and Alistair Lock read this collection of stories from the original Blake’s 7 Annual, featuring original sound design and Dudley Simpson’s stirring theme music.
Readings produced by John Ainsworth
Sound design by Alistair Lock

August 1st, 2026 - 6:49pmReally enjoyed this! Listened to it this morning in way to Northern Horizon 2 convention.
I really can’t take to the Who annual stories audios (nothing like the show and most are just… ugh), but I greatly enjoyed these. They actually are like B7 stories. Result! Good readings too.
Nice to know there are other annual stories out there to get the same treatment (thanks for the info above Peribrown).

July 27th, 2026 - 2:56pmjust finished listening to it while reading the annual it self and its pretty accurate to the original well 98% accurate in the book they used the phrase beaming down or up instead of teleport ( they must have been thinking of star track) it is pretty good i do hope they do the other two annuals

August 1st, 2026 - 6:51pmYep, spoke to John Ainsworth today and he told me they did some minor tweaks like that – and he specifically mentioned the “beam up” stuff. 🙂
He also said Alistair Lock was saying “Zen wouldn’t say that…” to which he was told “he does here!” Lol

July 7th, 2026 - 12:35pmThis is the six stories from the 1979 Annual, and the 1980 and 1981 Annuals both have five stories – so probably two more, possibly with readings of features to bring them up to the same length.
