Yes, but they would also make a loss in profit as this is an extremely detailed COLLECTOR’S item. But if it’s £100-£150 it’s a decent price.

Yes, possibly even a bit better than Hot Toys IMO.

I think they will be as collectible too, so if you’re thinking about one, I wouldn’t hedge for too long about it.

Mind you, we haven’t been told how many of these will be made yet.

The 11th Doctor is a must for me, I’d also adore a 9th Doctor, since we didn’t really get much of Eccleston besides a few 5″ figures.

I could be persuaded for another Tennant too. 😛

Funnily enough, I really want to see one of these of the 1st Doctor.

They are not saying what it is, so it’s likely not appeared yet although some people have suggested things about it (some possible, some definetly wrong).

If it had already appeared in the show then why did theynot say what it was? It was be that but if it was surely there would be a better term to use than “lash up device”.

It certainly looks similar but it’s not very clear if it is. Looking at the concept art for A Christmas Carol there is something called the “lashup” there but nothing resembling it appeared in the show but the design may have changed.

no they are 1:6 scale so if something is 6 foot in real life then it would be 1 foot tall

    • Boodleoo

      August 13th, 2011 - 10:46am

Yeah but the doctor wasn’t wearing the stetson when he shot used the nano gun. but it comes with swappable head so you can always swap. But booboo will you be able to swap outfits for different episodes

    • Anonymous

      August 13th, 2011 - 11:17am

I think it’s more likely they will release different figures for different costumes just to charge you the money for the figures again. Beingat a 1:6 scale the Doctor figure should be around 11 2/3″ tall (as Matt Smith is 5′ 10”) as an example.

    • Anonymous

      August 13th, 2011 - 10:06pm

Don’t know about price, some people are giving very high prices. It will be expensive, however I don’t think it’s going to be as extreme as some are making it out to be.

    • Beep

      August 14th, 2011 - 4:23pm

so what do you think the price will be anonymous?

    • Anonymous

      August 14th, 2011 - 11:01pm

About £50-£60. It needs to be expensive but at such a price that you can afford to buy several at the same time if you are fortunate to have that amount of money.

  • Josh (doctorwhocollector01)

    August 13th, 2011 - 9:01am

I think this figure is extraordinarily similar to Hot Toys, toys. What with the amount of accessories and the amount of hands he has. The likeness to Matt Smith and the size… If it is anything like these.. It would most definitely cost around about £140 or $200! Check out hot toys and take a look at most of their prices

  • Josh (doctorwhocollector01)

    August 12th, 2011 - 3:06pm

booboo will these be expensive can you give a rough guess on how much they will be?

    Reply
    • Anonymous

      August 12th, 2011 - 3:15pm

It will cot a bit, it probablly won’t be as expensive as some people are making it out to be though because there are several figures coming out at the same time.

      Possibly £40?

    • Beep

      August 12th, 2011 - 8:03pm

      definitly over the £80 mark

    • Anonymous

      August 12th, 2011 - 8:08pm

The thing with that is though, if this is over £80 then how could they possibly release several at the same time. It’s fair enough saying it’s for the collector’s market but the fact that they have already confirmed the Doctor, Amy, Rory and River and said there will be other figures on top of them in the first wave means that if it was say £100 then that is £500 minimum.

    • Josh (doctorwhocollector01)

      August 12th, 2011 - 9:36pm

omg if its 80 or anything over 80 then hell no thats not worth it when i could just get the the cb ones i might get one for x mas but just the doctor and im still not even sure

    • booboo

      August 12th, 2011 - 10:56pm

I’m sure these are going to be around a £100

    • Anonymous

      August 12th, 2011 - 11:08pm

But how much will the overall wave cost, I understand that they will be expensive but £100 seems a bit steep for these taking into account a large amount of them are coming out at the one time, if it was more spread out then possibly but are they really expecting someone to spend £500 minimum on their figures, even the most diehard of collectors must be worried about the costs of these if they go that high.
