why they look like dolls and £140 the only good thing is the extras and you can make them for about £30 so total waste of money put it down to £50 – £70 and it will be better .

They are making very little profit with the current price tag so it is actually the best they could do without losing money.

I have to agree that the Amy figure really isn’t working at the moment (and as a prototype – constructive comments are required in part to get it right).

Let’s face it – she needs to be a sexy as the lady herself and the expression, baggy clothes et al don’t really seem to work.

If you are going buy both, they need to look like a set and be of equal quality…not quite there yet.

    Tighten up those clothes!

This is just a prototype, some other people asked about it and apparently the real body hasn’t been finished yet so they’ve just used a generic body with the real head in it’s place.

The clothes won’t need tightened they just need to make the body a bit bigger (and as Karen GIllan is 5′ 11” chances are they will need to make a bigger one).

  • I have a TARDIS now, TARDISes are cool!

    November 21st, 2011 - 2:01pm

I hope they bring out like clothes sets so you could have a clothes set for the Doctor with a Fez,Stetson,Green Coat,Blueshirt,Blue bow tie!

Bobo, are the close actually removable? Like, if they release new costumes you could change them? eg.Police Amy, Pirate Pond etc.

They are considering costume and accessory packs for characters after they are released but they have none planned at the moment and the plans seem to be quite long term.

It says “second quater” meaning between April and June. And as for limited numbers, I assume that it will be the same as the Doctor.

The one of the Doctor is AMAZING ! The Amy one is also good, but WOW I am so amazed by the Doctor one, his jacket looks great,

it’s got three buttons on the jacket, very accurate, and the swappable hadns feautre is a great idea. 😉

Amy looks absolutely terrible in my opinion. Blank ‘zombie stare’ face with mediocre likeness and absolutely zero personality or character or life showing through, awful doll hair, poor choice of body type (arms too long, hips/body too wide etc), and that skirt, if it isn’t just a temporary piece, is truly awful. This is a 150 pound figure we’re talking about here, but this piece isn’t worth half that price. Looks more like an unofficial mid range custom rather than a professional piece. I mean just compare the Amy figure to the promo photo of Amy, it really is a poor effort. Hugely disappointing.

The Matt Smith Doctor on the other hand is the exact opposite, and looks fantastic in pretty much every regard, and totally worth the high price. Glad I ordered that one.

I just wish that Amy Pond had been done to the same high standard, because as it is, there is no way I’m buying that. The 11th Doctor looks like it can stand proudly alongside the very best 1/6 scale licenced pieces on the market today, it is that good. The Amy Pond isn’t even in the same ballgame. I’d love to buy each companion as wel as each Doctor, but they’ll have to do a far better job than they have on Amy Pond to get my money. Shame.

      November 23rd, 2011 - 12:19am

They haven’t actually made the body for it yet, they said that at the event. They’ve just got a temporary body for the moment until the real one is made.

You can’t critisise it for something which they have already said won’t be there on the finished version.

Just so that people can note:

The Matt Smith signature is unnumbered as it was the original one Matt signed and used in the photo where he held the figure, I was told the rest will NOT have a kiss, and this is the only one.
