Big Chief 1:6 Scale The Sixth Doctor
Following a traumatic regeneration the Sixth Doctor was unpredictable and egotistic, with a total disregard for the feelings of his companion, Peri. When the Doctor’s mental state began to stabilise it became clear that some of his early personality traits were part of who he was, and not simply a brief by-product of the regeneration.
He remained pompous and often rude, frequently impatient and about as subtle as his flamboyant clothing. He did, however, reject violence, but was brave and always fought for justice, even when the odds against him seemed overwhelming. Slowly Peri began to trust her friend again and soon the familiar routine of careering around the cosmos, saving planets and rescuing the oppressed was re-established.

September 22nd, 2022 - 4:42pmDecided to cancel mine a few months ago – the lack of updates/communication from these companies is appalling at times – i’ve lost the down-payment but am worried it’ll be years again before they actually get round to delivering on some of these items.
Shall not be making any more pre-orders…these sellers need to up their game or they’ll go the way of Eaglemoss.
The ergon
September 22nd, 2022 - 5:37pmI did the same lightning boy for pretty much the same reason. Is it enough they want all preorders in and only allow limited time to get he incentives, they take it for granted customers will wait around years why,ll they get a shipping date. They should keep the incentives on indefinitely so that customers can order these when they are indeed in stock.
Snowman
August 11th, 2023 - 2:24pmI Guess they didn’t up there Game and they have gone the way of Eaglemoss.

August 18th, 2023 - 6:26pmBlimey…Let’s be careful out there (with our pre-orders).
The Quark
August 18th, 2023 - 7:47pmWish Id cancelled Id have been out of pocket but Id have got enough back to buy a decent new pc I want 🙁

August 18th, 2023 - 9:57pmEaglemoss was the warning sign. I lost only £40 there by just over a month. No way was i going to wait years, let alone let the paypal deadline pass again. My foresight saved me hundreds maybe thousands in the long run. Better than crying over spilt milk.

April 29th, 2022 - 7:15pmAnyone have any idea when this due out? I pre-ordered it almost a year ago. I know things have been delayed due to pandemic etc, but have heard nothing at all on this for about a year, just curious is all.
the Ergon
April 29th, 2022 - 7:26pmOrdered mine along with the Master, K-9 and the four doctors last year as well peter. I know covid has played its part but i know from people on here who ordered the 13th doctor have said it took just over 2 years to get theirs and get little or no communication back so i wouldn,t hold your breath for it to arrive anytime soon. I,ve called time on preordering for those very reasons
The Fishmonger
April 29th, 2022 - 8:43pmI don’t mind waiting for products and I understand delays at the moment. But a few further updates would be good. I have a load of stuff on preorder, some of which was due out last October. Just keep us in the loop please Big Chief
The ergon
October 4th, 2021 - 10:35pmNext on my to buy. The girl companions. How about a susan or barbara with an ian for the 60th. If they could get them out by 2023.

October 7th, 2021 - 12:11pmHello Ergon, welcome to the club, I hope you won’t be disapointed.
I’m sure you won’t.
Peter
March 5th, 2021 - 7:13pmBit pricey and that’s the reason that has stopped me before, even though they all look excellent! But have relented and pre-ordered this one as it’s brilliant….

October 21st, 2020 - 8:45pmDoes anyone know if Big Chief have plans for an expansion pack for this with a possible waistcoat and caveat change?
CJ
October 13th, 2020 - 6:46pmNot the most kind to his companion, but I mean, what a likeness
Peter
October 7th, 2020 - 11:30pmWish I could afford this. It looks brilliant!
Kone112
October 4th, 2020 - 11:44pmI buy these , I’ve got James bond , star wars and Dr who’s on order. These figures are as close as you’ll get to the real person being shrunk to size and worth every penny.
Coleman
October 5th, 2020 - 2:10pmFunnily enough Kone112,
I’ve said exactly the same thing to family and friends.
That they’ve got the actual actor and just shrunk him down in size. You keep expecting them to start walking around and talking. There that good.
Paul Austin
January 22nd, 2021 - 6:40pmperhaps its the Masters work with his Tissue Compression Eliminator
Coleman
October 4th, 2020 - 11:45amYou might not know Mark,
But since these figures are in essence toys.
Big Chief decided to make their hair from plastic and not real hair.

October 3rd, 2020 - 8:06pmI waited a few years before I started buying the big chief doctors. I have a massive collection all the small five inch stuff and a lot more as well.
If you can buy from Big Chief, these models cost fortunes on ebay. I paid 600.00 for the 12th doctor but he was worth it.
Very mixed feelings about Jodi tbh so hanging fire on 13th doctor.
But Colin was my doctor one of them. I got the signature model which is worth it. So detailed cant wait to get him.
Hopefully 2, 5 and 7 will follow shortly.
Magic cant wait for this.

October 3rd, 2020 - 7:06pmSeeing Big Chief explain the sixth doctor’s early violent outbursts on regeneration trauma is priceless.

October 3rd, 2020 - 4:15pmWorse time for this to come out, for me. My wife has just been made redundant. My plan was to get 5th, 6th and 7th doctors.
This was my era of dr who. 7th is an absolute must though.
Lightningboy
October 3rd, 2020 - 3:40pmJust pre-ordered mine, been hoping for a 6th Doctor and it looks spectacular (how could that outfit look anything less!?)..hopefully 5th Doctor will follow soon.

October 3rd, 2020 - 7:27pmIts moulded plastic what do you expect?
Deano
October 5th, 2020 - 10:34amI have never bought any of these and for the price the hair shouldn’t be mounted plastic because as one reply stated because there toys ? Really then why do barbie & Sindy dolls have hair at a fraction of the price.
Each to there own but not for me.
Coleman
October 5th, 2020 - 11:08amDeano,
Big Chieg tried using synthetic hair on there very 1st piece (Amy pond) but it didn’t look too realistic, and there was lots of complaints from the fans. since then they’ve gone down the moulded plastic route.
1.because it looks much better.
2. Because it’s a high end collectible and not some cheap Barbie or Cindy Doll.
Just let the fans Appreciate these (that actually buy them) because they know how superb they are.

October 5th, 2020 - 11:24amI could genuinely understand someone knocking these collectibles if they bought one and then once in hand they weren’t impressed.
But how can anyone knock them when they don’t even buy them?
It’s beyond me.
Gary H.
October 5th, 2020 - 11:34amExample. It’s like me saying I cannot stand cheese, but I’d never even tried it.

October 3rd, 2020 - 10:51amI wish they not only gave the umbrella but the lovely blue cloak he wore in Revelation of the Daleks.. That was nice.
However what a lovely looking figure it is indeed 😉 and yes I have pre-ordered.. Loved Colin!! grew up watching his Doctor.

October 2nd, 2020 - 11:54amWelcome too the club Grant P.
If you like what Eaglemoss and Character Options make, you won’t be disappointed with these.
Coleman
October 2nd, 2020 - 11:00amLove the idea of the actual working umbrella.
WOW , how do they make a working umbrella at such a small scale?
Should imagine theyll do the same for Sylvester McCoy when he arrives.
Dalek z
October 2nd, 2020 - 11:29amThere are working tiny figure accessories on Amazon mostly from China that are like that, amazingly detailed functioning models for figures.
I have no idea how they make such things either they are brilliant.
The McCoy umbrella will be awesome when they do it yes.
Coleman
October 2nd, 2020 - 11:39amDalek Z,
Knew there are loads of accessories for the 1/6 scale figures.
But didn’t know about the actual working ones.
Very impressed.

October 3rd, 2020 - 5:11pmYou can get cocktail umbrellas that work like real ones. Theyvd been around for years.

October 1st, 2020 - 10:40pmI want Colin so much I love the 6th Doctor and as I grew up with this Doctor I love his costume I’m very used to it and I know how brilliantly correct they have got this figures coat!
Wish they were not so expensive I bought the Clara figure and I have the 13th Doctor on order, I’d love 6 and any eventual 5 and 7 too as they were my Doctors as a kid!
They take ages to come in stock too I waited two years for Clara after paying and still waiting for Jodie after more than a year but they are worth it!
Mrs Croot
October 1st, 2020 - 4:25pmRemind me about the costume, did John Nathan Turner want the Doctor to be more alien and that’s why he has this costume? Would love a limited edition blue costume variation on this.
(Note: Don’t hate the multi coloured one, but I’m more or less indifferent towards it, so am just wondering why they didn’t go with what Colin wanted.)
Mac
October 1st, 2020 - 6:27pmHe wanted something completely opposite to the Fifth Doctor. So he asked for something “tasteless”.
The designer drew something on a bit of paper as a joke and JNT said yes.

October 1st, 2020 - 6:54pmok, thanks

October 2nd, 2020 - 9:11pmThe odd thing is I’ve never minded the outfit. It’s really no more ridiculous than pertwee’s outfits in a way. The outfit fits the sixths doctor’s character perfectly. Its theatrical as he was.

October 3rd, 2020 - 5:13pmThe 80s are another country. They do things different there.

October 4th, 2020 - 9:33pmIn universe, the interesting question is which of Doctors 1 – 5 acquired this outfit in the first place….
Loobop
October 1st, 2020 - 2:04pmman the prices on these doctor who 1/6 keep going up and up.I felt done over blue suit tenth doctor as i paid £180 unsigned yet later found his brown suit signed on release would have been that price.
Gary H.
October 1st, 2020 - 2:18pmLoobop,
I debated for years over buying these.
Loved them, but thought they were much too expensive.
Then a couple of years ago I couldn’t resist any longer and started to buy them, Clara was my first purchase. Bought them all now including Jodie, Jon, Tom and Colin on pre order.
Managed to get all the ones I’d missed on eBay but instead of paying RRP Id been paying between £300 to £500 each.
All I can say is I wish I’d bought these from the beginning and saved ALOT of money.
Gary H.
October 1st, 2020 - 12:20pmJust pre-ordered.

October 1st, 2020 - 1:48pmYes Rikki,
Been watching the regular updates on Big Chiefs Facebook page for weeks now.
Treated myself to the signature edition one.
Rikki Krystal
October 1st, 2020 - 4:20pmI also had the signature edition, for a few quid more it’s worth it.
