Attack of the Cybermen 1985 Set

When something disturbs the TARDIS in flight, the Sixth Doctor is determined to find out the reason why. Landing in London, 1985, he and Peri are shocked to find the Cybermen are hiding in London’s sewers! Becoming their prisoner, the Doctor is forced to take the Cybermen to their home planet, Telos.
There he discovers the inhuman monsters have captured another time vessel and plan to change history. They want to redirect Halley’s Comet so it crashes into Earth in 1985 – the year before their original home planet, Mondas, was destroyed. PERI Perpugilliam Brown, known as Peri, was an eighteen year-old American Botany student holidaying in Lanzarote with her step-father, when the Fifth Doctor and Turlough landed nearby. Turlough rescued Peri when she tried to swim to shore from her uncle’s boat, and took her inside the TARDIS to recover.
The TARDIS took off with Peri still on board. Headstrong and argumentative, Peri stayed with the Doctor and helped him through his most difficult regeneration to date. Peri’s fate is unclear.

April 28th, 2012 - 7:07amIt’s funny because in the original Attack of the Cybermen story when the 6th Doctor removed the faceplate of the Cyberman to activate the distress call or whatever, there wasn’t a face at all! It was just some machinery with a silver jaw piece?! I think that someone in the BBC prop department of the 80’s should of done his history on the Cybermen!

So I think it’s better that they have done this, IMO . AND, it makes a better toy ! 🙂

March 14th, 2012 - 2:08pmYes, there’s nothing wrong with it, the Cyber-face is alot more interesting than just an empty case. So this set gets a thumbs up from me ! 😀
Now, if only character would make some figures from the Sixth Doctor’s 1986 Trial of a Timelord season. I want a Doctor with umbrella, a Doctor from Terror of the Vervoids with Melaine, and a Vervoid perhaps, and I WOULD LOVE to have the Valeyard and the impressive Drathro Robot from the Mysterious Planet would make a great toy. 😀

I’m still hoping for a Jo Grant action figure, plus sets like a ‘Dragonfire’ set with Ace and Mel or a ‘Time and the Rani’ set with the Rani and Pyramid Tardis. 🙂

I always liked Lalla Ward Romana, “She was my first” Romana.
I always thought it would be a good idea for a Leisure Hive set, a chance to make a (better)varient of the Season 18 Fourth Doctor.
It will be like the old one, except the differences are: He has shoes instead of boots, he is wearing the hat, he has a waistcoat aswell as the Jacket. 🙂
And isntead of a K-9 I want a figure of the Argolan, what was his name ? The bad guy ? Oh what was it I know this !! ❗ ❓

I would totally buy this set if I wasn’t getting the Caves of Adrozahni set, and already had Peri from Vengeance on Varos.

They were my first, Dalek sec has since broke although I enjoyed it at the time, he was a fat-lek. So the Cyberman is the only one I have now.
My first exclusive was the Third Doctor Green Death . 😀
